Chapter 62: Hagrid

"What's its name?" Albert put the sandwich in his hand into his mouth and finished eating it, then stretched out his hands and gently rubbed the hound's head and asked.

"Fang," Hagrid answered automatically.

"Ya Ya? I feel like this big dog's momentum is gone all of a sudden. How about calling him Spike?" Albert casually gave Ya Ya a new name.

"I think it's a good idea to call you Fang." Hagrid stopped cleaning the mink and shook his head to reject Albert's kindness.

"My name is Albert Anderson. Are you also a professor at Hogwarts?" Albert asked knowingly.

"No, I'm a game keeper." Hagrid continued to shake his head.

"Does the hunting ground refer to the forest over there?" Albert raised his hand and pointed in the direction of the Forbidden Forest. Without waiting for Hagrid to answer, he continued, "I heard that there are werewolves in the forest. Is this true?"

"Are you a Ravenclaw?" Hagrid asked uncertainly.

Albert glanced at the three people who were laughing behind him and replied, "No, we are all Gryffindor students."

"Oh, Gryffindor students," Hagrid said suddenly seriously, "I won't let you go into the woods..."

"Ahem, Albert, how do you know this dog will rub your head? I felt it was quite fierce just now." George quickly diverted Hagrid's attention.

The three of them came over and started rubbing Yaya's dog's head.

"Intuition, probably. I have a cat myself, but I just didn't bring it to school." Albert made up an excuse, "By the way, Mr. Gamekeeper, do you mind letting me take a picture of it someday?"

"You can call me Hagrid." Hagrid didn't refuse, he just suddenly recalled some past events.

"Well, Mr. Hagrid. Well, Hagrid..." Albert quietly brought the two sides closer.

"What are you taking pictures for?" asked Hagrid.

"I want my family to understand my life at Hogwarts. They are Muggles and know nothing about Hogwarts," Albert explained.

"It's best not to reveal too much about the wizarding world to Muggles. That might get you into trouble," Hagrid reminded with a frown.

"Oh, I see." Albert looked at Hagrid, thought for a moment and then asked, "Because of the Statute of Secrecy?"

"You know this?" Hagrid was a little surprised how Albert knew the Statute of Secrecy. A Muggle wizard who had just entered Hogwarts should have limited knowledge of the wizarding world.

Albert briefly told Hagrid about Truman's misfortunes.

The gamekeeper was stunned after hearing this. He whispered, "I don't know much about the Statute of Secrecy. I only know that underage wizards will be warned if they use magic in front of their Muggle family members. If they knowingly use magic in a Muggle-inhabited area in front of Muggles, it is a criminal act and they will be expelled directly."

"Has there ever been a case of expulsion from Hogwarts?" Albert realized that he had indeed betrayed Truman. No wonder it was an expulsion letter instead of a warning letter.

"As far as I know, there shouldn't be." Hagrid wasn't very clear either.

"Your case is a special case." Fred cleared his throat and explained, "It can only be said that the unlucky Truman ran into you by accident."

"Hmm!" Albert thought about it and knew the reason. There should be some young Muggle wizards who received the warning, but they were usually scared by the letter and did not dare to use magic again and risk being expelled.

"By the way, Hagrid, what dangerous creatures are there in the Forbidden Forest? Why doesn't Dumbledore allow freshmen to enter the Forbidden Forest?" Albert brought the subject back to the topic that everyone was interested in.

"There are many dangerous magical animals in the Forbidden Forest." Hagrid nodded.

"Like werewolves?" Albert asked, raising his eyebrows.

"Yes, werewolf."

"Doesn't it say that if you are bitten by a werewolf you will become a werewolf? Dumbledore actually allows students to live with werewolves as neighbors?" Albert raised his doubts.

"Werewolves are deep in the Forbidden Forest and won't easily appear around the school, and..." Hagrid's eyes were evasive when he spoke, and it was obvious that he felt guilty.

"Hagrid, have you ever seen a unicorn?"

"Which nth question is this?" three people were whispering beside them.

"Ten... or twelve?"

However, the three of them still admired Albert very much. They had all noticed that Albert had almost figured out the situation in the forbidden forest through questioning.

They also discovered that Hagrid had a special liking for dragons. When Albert talked about dragons, Hagrid was particularly excited to introduce the ground dragon.

As for the forest outside the Forbidden Forest, there is actually no danger. Students will occasionally have classes there, but if you go deeper into the Forbidden Forest, you may encounter centaurs, werewolves, and various magical creatures such as unicorns in the Forbidden Forest.

Seeing that Albert had a special liking for unicorns, Hagrid gave him a small bundle of unicorn tail hair, and before they left, he warned the four not to try to enter the Forbidden Forest.

Albert stopped and suddenly turned around and asked, "Hagrid, is there a guardian tree in the forest?"

"Guardian tree? You mean the mountain pear tree?" Hagrid asked puzzled.

"Yes." Albert nodded and said, "This tree was mentioned in both the Herbology and Defense Against the Dark Arts classes. It really can ward off evil... I mean, drive away dark magic creatures?"

"It is indeed of some use," nodded Hagrid.

"Um... can you help me... I want a small dead branch from a mountain pear tree."

"What do you want with that?" asked Hagrid suspiciously.

"I'm planning to make a gift for my sister. I heard that the guardian tree has a protective effect. I can pay some Galleons." Albert said embarrassedly.

"No need. I'll go into the woods and help you when I have time, but don't expect too much. Bowtruckles generally won't let people touch the mountain pear trees casually." Hagrid understood what Albert meant.

Yamanashi tree, protect your family

That’s great.

"Thank you, Hagrid." Albert said gratefully, and he began to think about what Christmas gift to give the other party.

"You're welcome." Hagrid scratched his head, feeling embarrassed.

Like Fang, Hagrid is apparently not as fierce as he looks.

“You’re amazing.”

On the way back to the castle, the three of them gave Albert a thumbs up and praised him.

"Do you want it?" Albert asked as he took out a small bundle of unicorn tail hair from his pocket.

"Forget it, what do you want this for?"

"Give it to my sister as a birthday present. She must have never seen unicorn tail hair!" Albert had already thought about it. If there was no mountain pear tree wood, he would weave a bracelet with unicorn tail hair and give it to Nia as a birthday present.

"Birthday present?" They looked at each other.

"By the way, what birthday present did we give Ginny this year?" Fred suddenly asked his twin brother.

"Licorice wand."

"What about Ron?" Fred asked again.

“Fudge flies and cockroach clusters,” George said without hesitation.

Albert suddenly felt that Ron had a hard time too, having such a brother.
