Daily Life at Hogwarts

Chapter 643: Bad intentions and cleverness

Views:

The news that the heir of Slytherin had been captured spread quickly throughout the castle, and the students who stayed in school left the lounges of their respective colleges and hurried to the great hall to attend the celebration party.

When Albert and Hermione arrived at the hall, they met Filch holding a cat at the door of the hall. The administrator actually gave Albert a creepy smile.

"I think Filch wants to thank you."

As Hermione walked into the Great Hall, she glanced back at Filch and whispered to Albert, "If it weren't for the powerful restorative potion you provided, we would probably have to stay in bed for more than a month."

Speaking of this, Hermione felt a little scared, because it meant that after waking up, she would have to face the final exam. Taking the exam without any preparation would be a disaster.

The hall was bustling with people surrounding Harry, asking him about what happened in the Chamber of Secrets.

Fortunately, Fred and George warned Harry in advance, so he didn't reveal the matter.

"Hermione!"

Ron, who was standing outside the crowd, saw Hermione entering the hall with Albert and walked towards them quickly.

Fred, George, and Lee Jordan waved at Albert.

However, Albert ignored the three of them for the time being, walked towards the long table of Ravenclaw, walked in front of Isobel, reached out and took off the gold-rimmed glasses on her face, "You don't need this thing now."

Although Isobel looks more intellectual with glasses, Albert still likes her without them.

"Is the problem solved?" Isobel noticed the change in Albert's mentality at a glance.

"It's been solved. He is truly worthy of being called the savior." Albert looked at Harry who was surrounded by the crowd and sighed softly.

"Our great detective, don't hide anymore. Everyone now knows that it was you who found out the heir of Slytherin and found the entrance to the Chamber of Secrets." Katrina's voice was so loud that many girls surrounding Harry rushed over here, completely surrounding Albert and chattering with questions.

Isobel looked at her boyfriend who was surrounded by girls and looked at her sister accusingly.

"That guy obviously has a girlfriend, but he's still flirting with other girls!" Katrina also saw Albert walking into the hall chatting and laughing with a girl.

As for why he came late, there is no need to ask. Most likely, he went to be the prince who woke up the princess.

Although Hermione Granger is not necessarily a princess, Albert is considered the prince charming in the eyes of many girls at Hogwarts.

"Aren't you angry at all?" Katrina felt incredible.

"Not angry."

Isobel put away her gold-rimmed glasses, looked at her sister, and asked, "Why are you angry? Just because you said a few more words to other girls?"

Katrina looked at her sister in shock and asked in disbelief, "Are you guys breaking up?"

"How is that possible!"

Isobel looked at Albert who was surrounded by the crowd and couldn't help but feel relieved. She probably guessed what Albert had done.

To be honest, Isobel didn't like Albert taking risks.

At this point, even if Katrina used her knees, it would not be difficult to guess that the two were hiding something from her, and something must have happened between them that she didn't know about.

"You two are not..."

Katrina recalled that Isobel had gone on vacation to Sicily with Albert during the winter break. It was clear that Isobel got along well with Albert's family, and her mother liked Albert very much.

“No way!”

"Albert still has three years before he graduates from school." Isobel knew what Katrina was thinking at a glance and reminded her silently.

"Why don't you have a ring?"

Katrina had expected this day to come, but she still felt jealous. If it was that guy, it wouldn't be a strange thing to do.

As for the fact that there was no ring, Katrina didn't believe it at all, otherwise how could Isobel have such an attitude now.

Dumbledore's appearance freed Albert from the crowd.

The banquet began, and the plates were piled high with food as usual. It was even more sumptuous than the opening banquet, and the house-elves in the kitchen must have done their best.

Albert even saw a few foreign-style dishes.

"I have good news to tell you all." Dumbledore motioned for everyone to keep quiet, "The heir of Slytherin has been caught."

“Who is it!”

Instead of becoming quiet, the auditorium became noisy, as people were eager to know who the culprit was.

"It's the same person as last time." Dumbledore said with a smile, "However, Voldemort is acting through another person this time, relying on the diary he left behind."

When they heard Dumbledore mention Voldemort, the students in the auditorium couldn't help but shudder, their faces full of shock and anxiety.

"Now that the attack is over, the school will return to its former peace." Dumbledore raised his hand and made a quiet gesture. "However, I have something regrettable to tell you. Professor Lockhart was cast a strong Forgetting Curse by Voldemort because he discovered the secret of the Chamber of Secrets. He can no longer be competent as the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor. Therefore, the remaining Defense Against the Dark Arts courses and exams this semester will be temporarily cancelled."

The party was interrupted halfway through.

Lucius Malfoy appeared at the entrance of the auditorium in a rage, and staged a famous scene of slapping everyone in the face. When he left, his face was distorted with anger.

"Harry, do you know how house-elves get back to freedom?"

Albert looked at the old Malfoy who left in a rage, winked at Harry and said, "Master, just throw a piece of clothing to the house-elves, and they can regain their freedom. If you want to help that poor house-elf, this is a good way!"

"But what should I do?"

Harry demanded, wanting to help Dobby get rid of the Malfoys.

"Why don't you ask the clever Miss Granger?" Albert forked a piece of steak into his mouth. "I'm sure she will help you find a solution."

"We'll help you find a solution, too."

Ron said with a slurred speech, his mouth full of food.

"We'll help you find a solution, too." Fred and George, who were waving their knives and forks among the food, immediately agreed.

It would be great if the Malfoys could get rid of their house-elf. They have not forgotten that all the suffering Ginny has endured was caused by old Malfoy.

No matter what, this matter cannot be let go like this.

Some are happy, some are sad, and some are both happy and sad.

In the Minister of Magic's office, Fudge was both happy and annoyed when he received a letter from Dumbledore. In the letter, Dumbledore told him that he had successfully found the heir of Slytherin and rescued Miss Weasley who was abducted into the Chamber of Secrets by the monster. The attack was over and the real murderer was not Rubeus Hagrid.

Fudge actually didn't care about the life or death of the big fool, but he did not forget that if Hagrid was proved innocent, the Ministry of Magic would need to publish an advertisement in the newspaper to restore Hagrid's reputation. Making Fudge admit his mistakes was even more disgusting than feeding him flies.

Although Fudge tried to pretend that he had forgotten about it, Dumbledore reminded him of it again at the end of the letter.

"He must have done it on purpose." Fudge threw the letter away angrily and called his assistant to publish the incident in a remote corner of the Daily Prophet where no one would notice it.

Anyway, as long as the Daily Prophet reported it, he would not have broken his promise. As for whether anyone noticed it or not, it was none of his business.
