Daily Life at Hogwarts

Chapter 65: Hurry up

Returning to the Gryffindor common room from the library, Albert found that his three roommates had disappeared.

I opened the door of the dormitory and found no one inside. It was good that no one was there, so no one would disturb me while I was writing letters.

Albert picked up the wand and tapped the cabinet, unlocked it, took out the box, and continued writing the letter to his family.

After finishing the letter, Albert used the copying spell to make a new copy of the parchment and also made a new copy of the photos that had been taken.

One was for his parents, and the other was for his grandfather Luke. Although he had left the wizarding world, Albert knew that the old man must also want to see the legendary Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

After all, it was a childhood dream and also a regret.

As for the beginning and the end of the two letters, Albert naturally needed to write them separately.

After writing, Albert put the letters into the cardboard boxes created by Transfiguration, and also put the gifts bought from Hogsmeade into them.

Of course, the magic world’s specialty drinks, pumpkin juice and butterbeer, are indispensable.

After packing, Albert found that the package to be sent home was a bit large. He began to worry whether his small body could bear the weight of the package and whether he could deliver the package safely to the destination.

"It seems that I can only borrow the owl in school." Albert murmured. He picked up the feather pen beside him and wrote his name, the sender's name and the mailing address on the package.

Then, he stacked the two packages together, held them in his arms, and closed the door when he walked out of the dormitory.

Passing by the common room, Albert holding the package attracted the attention of others.

However, he ignored the occasional curious looks from others and kept walking up in the castle until he came to the west tower, where the Owl Shed was on the top floor.

Fortunately, I have practiced karate and exercise on a daily basis, so my physical fitness is not as poor as in my previous life. Otherwise, I would have been exhausted from climbing up and down with the packages in my hands.

As Albert was walking up the outer stairs, he heard hurried footsteps behind him and immediately moved closer to the stairs. He saw a big guy climbing up hurriedly, probably also trying to send something, and almost bumped into Albert.

"Are we really in such a hurry?" Albert looked up at the man's back and muttered.

After a while, Albert saw the other person again. He didn't know what happened to the man. It seemed that he had fallen, and there were some straw and... owl droppings stuck on his robe.

When the man walked past Albert with a gloomy face, he could smell the stench of bird droppings from him.

The Owl Shed is a round stone room with empty windows. It is located high in the sky, so the air inside is relatively smooth.

However, Albert had no intention of going in, because the floor of the owl shed was covered with straw, owl droppings and mouse bones. It would not be a fun thing to slip on bird droppings in this place.

The reckless unlucky guy just now is the best lesson for us.

Albert stood at the door, looked up and found that there were hundreds of owls of all kinds living in the owl shed. He couldn't find Sheila among the large number of owls.

"Sheila." Albert called softly inside. His call annoyed some owls, but this method was obviously effective. Sheila noticed Albert's arrival and flew towards him.

"This is a package for Grandpa Luke. If you get a reply, remember to bring it back." Albert handed Grandpa Luke's package to Sheila. Sheila called softly a few times, as if to reassure him. Then, the owl grabbed the rope on the package with its claws, spread its wings and disappeared into the sky with the package slightly smaller than its body.

After Sheila flew away, Albert looked at the Owl Shed again. He needed another or two stronger owls to help him deliver the other package.

Owls are available for students to borrow at school.

However, Albert couldn't tell which owl belonged to the school, so his approach was very direct: "I have a big package that needs to be sent, I wonder if anyone is willing to help me."

As soon as he finished speaking, a strong great gray owl landed in front of Albert, obviously willing to take the job.

"Thank you, this is my gift, I hope you like it." Albert took out some owl nuts from his pocket, put them in the palm of his hand and stretched them in front of the great gray owl. It seemed very satisfied with Albert's reward. After eating all the owl nuts, it grabbed the remaining larger package, spread its wings and flew away.

It's really a magical creature with human nature!

Albert looked at the owl that had flown away and disappeared, sighing softly, then turned and left the owl shed. He had no intention of staying in a place full of straw and owl droppings.

When Albert was about to go to the castle hall, he accidentally saw Fred, George and Lee Jordan who were driven out of the forest by Hagrid. The corners of his mouth twitched. These three guys were really unwilling to give up. They actually sneaked into the Forbidden Forest and were caught by Hagrid.

Albert walked towards the three people and happened to hear Hagrid lecturing them there. He said that if they tried to sneak into the woods again, he would tell Professor McGonagall and put the three of them in detention.

"Good afternoon, Hagrid!" Albert greeted Hagrid with a smile, then looked at Fred and the other two and asked casually, "What happened to them?"

"It's you. These three mischievous guys are so brave. They dared to sneak into the woods not long after entering school, and they are not afraid of being taken away by dangerous beasts!" Hagrid dragged a dead branch and glared at Fred and the others fiercely. "I know I can't control you. But, Professor McGonagall..."

"Hagrid, what is that creature in your hair?" Albert interrupted Hagrid cleverly and pointed to a strange creature on Hagrid's head and shoulders. Their appearance looked like bark and twigs.

"What, oh, you're talking about this, they are called Bowtruckles. These two are injured and I need to bandage their wounds." Hagrid was successfully distracted.

"Hagrid, can you take care of these magical creatures?" Albert said with admiration. "I heard from others that the course of Care of Magical Creatures can only be taken in the third grade."

In fact, the admiration on Albert's face was real. After all, Hagrid's thick fingers could actually bandage these little things.

"I learned it from Professor Bourne, who is the professor of Care of Magical Creatures. However, he is very old now, and I occasionally go over to help him take care of those magical animals." Hagrid said proudly.

"Can I see how you bandage the Bowtruckle?" Albert asked, waving his hand towards the three men, indicating that they should apologize as soon as possible.

"Hagrid, we know we were wrong." Fred said quickly, "We also want to see how you bandage these little things."

George and Lee Jordan nodded repeatedly, with an expression that said, "We know we're wrong."

"This won't happen again. Come with me!" Hagrid did not refuse and invited Albert and the other three into his cabin.
