Chapter 7: Magic Night

Views:

Late at night, at No. 19, Tibe Avenue, the lights in the second-floor windows were still on.

While Albert was quickly reading the contents of the book, he also upgraded his quick memory to level 2, and his memory became much stronger. Ordinary people do not have this ability, at least their memory is definitely not as strong as Albert's.

Just now, Albert discovered that he had gained a new unfamiliar skill: Wizard Bloodline, Level 0.

This skill cannot be upgraded through ordinary experience and can only be upgraded through skill points.

This was the first time he had seen such a situation. After hesitating for a moment, Albert decided to upgrade his wizard bloodline to level 1.

After upgrading his skills, Albert found that he was more efficient in learning magic, or in other words, his magical power became stronger and he mastered the Shining Spell faster. After only practicing for a dozen minutes, he raised his skills to level 1.

This means that Albert has already mastered the spell and can use it easily without paying special attention.

Should I put all my skill points into it

Albert hesitated. Skill points were hard to come by and he needed to reserve some for himself.

However, after hesitating for a long time, he finally nodded and invested in the remaining two skills, only to find that he could only upgrade one level

What a scam!

After Albert upgraded his wizard bloodline to level 2, he didn't notice any other changes.

Is it a passive skill

Albert was a little depressed, but he didn't regret it. He walked out of the room and started trying the unlocking spell.

He held the wand in one hand and opened the "Standard Spells, Elementary" with the other. He waved the wand twice according to the gestures taught in the book. It was a bit like a reverse S-shape, which felt very awkward.

After trying a few more times, Albert locked the door and left his door handle hanging.

Albert reached out and twisted the lock a few times, but it didn't open.

Failed.

Although the failure was expected, there was still good news. There was another unlocking spell on the panel, but this time there was no experience.

"Albert, what are you doing?" The girl's voice sounded from behind, and Nia in pajamas appeared at the end of the corridor.

Albert turned his head and looked at his sister. He knew how she felt right now, as if she had caught a thief eating snacks.

"Why don't you go to bed?" Albert asked.

"I can't sleep!" Nia complained, "How cunning! You are really practicing magic secretly."

Albert was a little embarrassed, but it was the truth. It was like being caught stealing... ahem, stealing dessert. He felt a little humble.

"I want to play too!" Nia said, staring at Albert's wand.

"But this is not a toy!" Albert shook his head. He would not let his sister use this wand.

Children have no self-control and always do things based on their own preferences. No one knows what kind of trouble they will get into.

Of course, the premise is that Nia is also a wizard.

After all, Albert himself is a wizard, and there is a high chance that Nia is also a wizard, so he will not let Nia try to use the wand easily, at least not now.

"How cunning! Aren't you just playing secretly?" Nia complained, like a child whose toy was taken away.

"Don't you want to go back to bed?" Albert changed the subject.

"No, I can't sleep"

"Then I'll tell you a story!" Albert took out the key, opened the door again and walked in.

"Albert is so cunning!" Nia muttered, but still picked up Tom and walked into Albert's room.

As soon as Tom came into the room he started sniffing around, as if he was looking for an owl, and he was very dissatisfied with the birdcage by the window.

"Okay Tom, Sheila has gone out to find food!" Albert picked up the short-haired cat and touched its belly. Then he put the wand in the drawer, locked it, and put the key in his pocket, as if to prevent thieves. Albert knew his sister's personality too well.

"Hate it! Is it necessary to guard against thieves like this?" Nia pouted in dissatisfaction.

"Don't I know you?" Albert rolled his eyes at Nia. "If you get the magic wand, won't you blow up our house?"

"I can't?" Nia said stubbornly.

"Who knows if you won't? Don't forget where the scratch on your arm came from." Albert didn't want to try. "Don't promise me. I don't want you to suddenly lose an arm one day, or even worse, lose your life."

"No way." Nia felt a little guilty.

It was indeed a similar situation at the beginning. Tom had just arrived at their house and she was scratched because she treated Tom roughly. She still remembered that Albert scolded her angrily.

That was the first time Nia saw Albert angry.

"Don't forget the lesson." Albert asked back, "Do you still want to hear the story?"

"Okay!" Nia leaned on the cushion, touched Tom's hair, and listened quietly to Albert telling fairy tales. He was already very proficient. He used to practice speaking and improve his English. After all, his core was not an orthodox British. Although he was influenced by what he saw and heard after traveling through time, he still had some gaps in this aspect.

It is worth mentioning that he also mastered a foreign language, and his French was upgraded by one level with his experience. It is not without reason that Albert is regarded as a genius.

"Albert, do you think I can use magic in the future?" Nia suddenly asked.

"It should be possible. I can use magic, so should Nia." Albert comforted.

"That's because you're a genius and you learn everything very quickly."

"This has nothing to do with whether you are a genius or not!" Albert was speechless. "We are brother and sister. If I can do it, you should be able to do it too."

"But Grandpa can't. He said that all his family members can do it, but he can't," Nia murmured, "and Dad can't do it."

Mou He was innocently caught in the crossfire.

"Even if you can't use magic, you can still do other things," Albert comforted.

"You are so cunning. You are already able to use magic, but you still use such words to comfort others. Tom, hit him." Nia grabbed Tom's paw and put it on Albert's face.

As the night deepened, Nia fell asleep unknowingly.

The door was pushed open, and Daisy and Herb, in their pajamas, walked into the room, looking helplessly at their sleeping daughter.

"Finally fell asleep." Herb picked up Nia and returned to her room.

"Good night, Albert. Go to bed early and don't stay up late. You can read the book tomorrow." Daisy kissed Albert's face and said softly, "Neither your father nor I will object to your decision."

"Good night." Albert suppressed a yawn and reached out to push Tom. The guy just turned over lazily and seemed not to intend to move.

"Forget it, good night, Tom." Albert pushed the cat aside, reached out and fiddled with the pillow, found a comfortable position to lie down and prepare to rest. He was also very tired.

But, having said that, magic is really a magical thing.
