Chapter 840: Old friend

Views:

As dusk approached, the atmosphere in the camp gradually became lively. Wizards began to move around frequently and talk loudly about the Quidditch match.

As the sun disappeared below the horizon, the impatient wizards abandoned their last bit of disguise, and various signs of magic soon emerged from all over the camp.

After nightfall, Albert took Nia to walk around the camp. Every few steps, there were vendors hawking their wares, with carts filled with all kinds of strange souvenirs.

"Who do you think will win tonight?"

Catherine picked up a blue rose badge representing the United States and asked Albert who was buying a hat nearby.

"Krum will catch the Snitch and bring victory to Bulgaria."

Albert picked up a red hat, put it on Nia's head, looked at it carefully, and nodded with satisfaction. Then, he picked up a small red flag from the stall and waved it twice, and the lion on it roared.

"Oh no, it looks like we bet on the American team to win," Valeria muttered under her breath.

“Then you will definitely lose money.”

Isobel and Katrina came over with binoculars in their hands and handed two of them to Albert and Nia.

"You should have told me earlier." Valeria doesn't like losing money. She prefers the sense of security that winning money brings her.

However, she doubted that even if Albert told her, Kathryn would bet on the American team to win the game.

This woman is so stubborn sometimes.

"It doesn't matter. There's still a chance. Just remember to give me your share of the money when the time comes." Albert said jokingly.

"It's settled then."

The conversation between the two made the surrounding vendors confused.

Does this count as picking up girls

"I want that one."

Nia quietly pulled Albert's arm, pointed at the plastic models on the stall, and wanted Albert to buy her a flying broom model.

Albert immediately took out his wallet, paid the bill, and led everyone to continue shopping for souvenirs.

During this period, Albert also met many acquaintances. Davis from Ravenclaw was the most interesting. The guy stared at the girl next to Albert with his eyes wide open, as if he had lost his soul. He also accidentally bumped into a strange wizard. When he hurriedly apologized to the other party, he realized that they couldn't communicate in the same language.

Not only Davis, but young wizards from other countries all cast curious glances over here. There was nothing they could do about it, because their team was too eye-catching. Many boys were interested in the pretty girls around Albert, and there was even an acquaintance who looked like Catherine, who shamelessly came over to chat with him.

As a result, Catherine's question "Who are you?" made him extremely embarrassed and he had to walk away in shame.

"friend?"

"No." Catherine asked back: "There must be a lot of people in school who know you, but do you know all the students in the school?"

"That makes sense." Albert didn't ask any more questions and continued shopping with Nia, occasionally stopping to buy her some souvenirs or watch performances.

Albert narrowed his eyes, and combined the wizard in front of him, who was wearing some makeup and throwing a red ball like a fish, with a figure in his head. Albert asked tentatively, "Danny?"

"Who are you?"

Danny looked at Albert in confusion, and for a moment he couldn't remember who the man in front of him was.

"Albert Anderson, we used to play Quidditch together." Albert reminded with a smile. The other party did not refute, which meant that it was indeed Danny, but he had not seen him for too long and had forgotten him.

"Oh, it's you!" Danny forced a smile at Albert, obviously not wanting to be recognized by an acquaintance in such a place.

His eyes fell on the pretty girls behind Albert, and he smiled and teased, "You are really popular with the girls. Look at the men over there, they are all jealous of you!"

"Why are you the only one here? Where are Mario and Jack?" Albert didn't respond but found another topic.

"Jack gave up, and Mario joined a circus on his own and is now traveling around the world to perform." Danny looked calm as he talked about his former companions. "Actually, I gave up too, and now I just come here to do odd jobs to earn Galleons. Let's not talk about me, how are the others doing now?"

"Wood just graduated last year, and seems to have just signed to join Puddlemere United as a reserve player. Angelina intends to become a Quidditch player, Fred and George are preparing for the joke shop, they are still beaters in the team, and I plan to publish a book soon."

"I've seen you frequently in the Daily Prophet recently. Congratulations on winning the International Alchemy Award." Danny reached out and gently touched Albert's shoulder and said, "How's the Gryffindor team doing?"

"Won the Quidditch Cup last year. Harry Potter is a very good Seeker."

"I thought you were going to take over as Seeker." Danny was a little disappointed. He actually hoped to hear that Albert would be a member of the Gryffindor Quidditch team.

"Forget it. I'm too lazy to participate in the hard training." Albert suddenly said, "By the way, do you want me to perform for my sister?"

"Your sister. You actually have a sister?"

Albert pointed at Nia next to him and quietly took out ten Galleons and stuffed them into his hands.

"I know this request is a bit self-indulgent, but please, this is payment."

"Oh, of course no problem." Danny had a complicated expression, but he still nodded and accepted Albert's kindness.

He took Albert to his tent, took out some juggling tools, and showed everyone the simplest juggling tricks. This was probably Danny's best juggling trick. The red juggling tricks were like red fish swimming in the air.

In addition to throwing bouquets, there is also a sky-high somersault performance with bubbles, which looks a bit like the bubble head spell.

After spinning in the sky, Danny landed successfully, causing warm applause.

Then there was the fire-breathing show. He seemed to have eaten something, and then spit out all kinds of beautiful sparks from his mouth. It looked like he was setting off fireworks in his mouth.

There was also the singing of the Nile Bird. I don't know how Danny trained the Nile Bird, but he managed to turn those high-pitched, chirping calls into very rhythmic music.

After Danny finished his performance, there was warm applause from all around.

"I think it's a pity for you to give up the circus." Albert patted Nia's head lovingly and said to Danny with a smile, "Thank you so much."

"No, I should be the one to say thank you." Danny smiled and waved goodbye to them.

"Your friend?" Catherine asked.

“I guess so.”

"He's very talented." Valeria lowered her voice after everyone left Danny's tent, "But sometimes people have to compromise with reality."
