Dumbledore stared at the Dark Mark reflected in the Pensieve and began to wander around the headmaster's office. He always felt that there was something he had overlooked.
At this time, the portrait on the wall of the headmaster's office suddenly spoke: "Dumbledore, Sirius hopes to come visit you tonight. It seems that he has something to discuss with you about Harry."
"I understand. Sirius will come over sometime." Dumbledore nodded in agreement.
"Now, if you are free," the portrait said without hesitation.
"Then now."
Shortly after the portrait left, a green flame suddenly rose from the fireplace in the headmaster's office, and Sirius Black walked in from the fireplace.
"Good evening, Dumbledore. I'm sorry to disturb you so suddenly." Black, who was dressed in a formal suit, said straight to the point, "But for Harry's safety, I have to come here."
"Sit down, what would you like to drink?"
"Black tea." Sirius sat down and organized his words. "Peter did not die in Azkaban. Although I don't know how he did it, he is indeed still alive and escaped. Harry had a nightmare some time ago. He dreamed of Peter and Voldemort. They seemed to be making an evil conspiracy. I remember I wrote to you about this."
"Dream?" Dumbledore raised his eyebrows slightly. He remembered that he had indeed received a letter from Sirius, and the letter did mention this matter.
"A while ago, we saw the report that Peter died in Azkaban prison, so we suspected that he faked his death and escaped. Later, Harry dreamed of Peter again at the World Cup, and we suspected that it was a precognitive dream, so we found Mr. Anderson who was also watching the World Cup. As you know, Mr. Anderson is an expert in the field of prophecy."
"What did he say?" Dumbledore suddenly became very interested in this matter.
"He said it was not a precognitive dream, but some hidden dangers left behind when Voldemort did not kill Harry. He thought there might be some connection between Harry and Voldemort, but he did not elaborate. Let us ask you." Sirius took a sip of the tea in his hand, lowered his eyes and asked, "Is that really the case? Is there really some connection between Harry and Voldemort?"
"Yes, the unsuccessful spell may have linked Harry to him," Dumbledore sighed, "It is not an ordinary scar."
"So, what Harry saw was real?" Sirius couldn't help but gasp, even though he was mentally prepared.
"I think so," Dumbledore nodded.
"I think Harry might be in trouble," Sirius murmured.
"trouble?"
"It's like this." Sirius began to talk about his recent summary, and also told Dumbledore about finding Albert to predict Peter's location.
"So, the prophecy ends with Peter in the Albanian forest?"
"Yes, he did. Later, Albert divined again, and that time he saw a large, desolate house, a man who seemed somewhat familiar to me, and a cemetery."
"You don't mind if I take a look at that memory?" Dumbledore said suddenly.
"Of course... no problem." Sirius put his wand to his head and pulled out the memory of that moment, placing it into the meditation tray that Dumbledore moved in front of them.
After the two entered that memory, they saw Harry waking up from a nightmare and his conversation with them. Soon the surrounding scene changed again, this time it was the scene of them going to Albert for divination, and when the man in the crystal ball appeared in front of Dumbledore, the old headmaster immediately recognized who he was.
"Barty Crouch Jr."
"Barty Crouch Jr." Sirius remembered who this man was. "I think he was dead?"
"Yes, he died long ago," said Dumbledore.
After Albert handed some Felicis to Sirius, the scene stopped abruptly and the two returned to the principal's office.
"What else did Anderson say?" Dumbledore continued to ask. He felt that Sirius must have other reasons for coming to him in such a hurry.
"Yes, I just received a letter from Harry, which is why I was in a hurry to find you." Sirius took out a letter that Harry had just sent him not long ago from his robe pocket. It mentioned Harry's conversation with Albert on the train, as well as two small summaries mentioned by Albert.
"Do you believe him?" Dumbledore asked after quickly reading the letter.
"Although it seems ridiculous, I have to admit that Albert has a point." Sirius had seen how powerful Albert was, and the other party obviously would not say these words to scare Harry for no reason.
"If Harry is really involved in the Triwizard Cup, does that mean this is most likely Voldemort's conspiracy?"
"You think Voldemort's minions have infiltrated Hogwarts?" Dumbledore realized something, "and this person is likely Moody."
"Yes, I know this is unlikely, but we cannot deny that the Defense Against the Dark Arts professors at Hogwarts do often have problems, right? Especially after Harry entered school, first-year student Quirrell was possessed by Voldemort, second-year student Lockhart was a complete liar, and third-year student Lupin was a werewolf, and he was a good friend of me, a fugitive. So, is it possible that fourth-year student Moody is an undercover agent?" Sirius made his bold guess, which was one of the reasons why he was so anxious to come to Dumbledore. He lowered his voice and said, "Moody got into trouble on the day he came to Hogwarts. He claimed that he had been attacked, and the incident was even reported in the Daily Prophet."
Dumbledore was silent, as if considering this possibility.
"I have known Alastor for more than half a century, and I know him well enough, but I have not found anything suspicious in Alastor so far," Dumbledore said softly. "At least, he doesn't look like he has been cursed by the Imperius. Given Alastor's ability to resist the Imperius Curse, I am sure I can spot some flaws, and it would be great if they are really that stupid."
Although Dumbledore was very interested in Albert's words, he trusted his own judgment more.
"Where's the Polyjuice Potion?" Sirius asked tentatively, feeling that he had to put Dumbledore on alert, especially regarding Moody.
Dumbledore fell into a brief silence, because he remembered that at the start-of-term dinner, Alastor seemed to have a curved bottle on him and drank only once.
He ate something that night, but didn't touch the drink in the glass, only took a sip of the wine from the curved bottle. At that time, he just thought that Alastor was more sensitive... At least, he didn't remember whether Alastor's curved bottle contained a polyjuice potion.
"I will keep an eye on him. If Alastor is really someone else pretending to be him, he will definitely reveal his flaws. No one can perfectly disguise himself as another person." Dumbledore said calmly.
"I'll leave Harry in your care. I suggest you keep an eye on the Triwizard Cup. If Harry really becomes that damned champion, I think you should consider Albert's words." Sirius stood up and prepared to leave, and said, "I suggest you talk to Anderson. He is really an incredible guy, very smart and sharp, and seems to know everything. Although he does look a bit like a charlatan."
