"Is this what you did last night?"

Snape put down the newspaper and stared at Dumbledore, as if he wanted to know something from him.

"You knew that already, didn't you?"

"Did you know that a long time ago? No, we just happened to be going to talk to Barty about strengthening the security measures for the Triwizard Tournament, and verify a guess by the way." Dumbledore looked calm. Although he felt very sorry for Barty's death, he had lived for a century and had seen many separations and deaths, so he did not feel sad.

"You killed the Dark Lord?" Snape couldn't help but ask the question in his heart. He pulled open his left arm, revealing the Dark Mark on it: "The Dark Lord has become weaker, and the Dark Mark has even returned to its previous state."

"Killed him, no, I didn't. I just drove him away temporarily." Dumbledore shook his head and said, "Let's talk about the situation at school. There shouldn't be anything unusual during the time I was away."

"Moody still looks suspicious. I suspect he knows you asked me to spy on him," Snape said.

"Anything else?"

Dumbledore didn't care about this. He knew long ago that with Alastor Moody's caution, he would discover this sooner or later.

"Potter is ill. According to him, it seems that the scar on his forehead hurts. It is not an ordinary scar." Snape continued, "Even Madam Pomfrey can't do anything good."

"Does the scar hurt?" Dumbledore looked thoughtful.

"Surely you know why," said Snape.

"I'm not sure." Dumbledore actually guessed the reason.

"Do you think Voldemort will regain his physical body?" Snape was still more concerned about Voldemort's problem.

"Peter Pettigrew is still alive. Although the Aurors of the Ministry of Magic are looking for him everywhere, I doubt whether the Ministry of Magic can catch him." Dumbledore didn't believe that the Ministry of Magic had such ability at all. "Since there was a first time, there will be a second time. I think Voldemort should be eager to have a physical body and restore his previous strength. I have no doubt about this. It's just a matter of time."

Snape looked paler than usual.

"As much as I hate to admit it, you'd better be prepared. You know what I mean." Dumbledore looked at Snape and said.

"I know what I should do." Snape trembled his lips slightly and turned away.

Dumbledore looked at Snape's back as he left, picked up the Daily Prophet, looked at the front-page news, and murmured, "You did it after all."

"That guy is a disgrace to the Ministry of Magic. I really don't understand how such a person could become the Minister of Magic." The portrait in the headmaster's office began to denounce Fudge after Snape left.

"No way, some things are just like that."

Dumbledore raised his hand to signal the portraits to be quiet, grabbed a handful of shiny powder from a jar on the mantelpiece and sprinkled it into the fireplace. He said to the rising green flames, "Alastor, please come to the headmaster's office."

Seconds later, Mad-Eye Moody climbed out of the fireplace flames.

"Have a seat, old fellow!" Dumbledore pulled an armchair for Moody. "Tell me about last night!"

"If I have to say, I think it's probably that Potter is sick." Moody recalled: "I didn't find anything wrong with the others. No one left the castle, and no one spread the news. Of course, Snape is still suspicious. I found that he grabbed his left arm for a while. That should be the location of his Dark Mark. If that thing has any special function, you know that the Death Eaters can summon Voldemort through the mark."

"I see." Dumbledore was secretly observing Moody.

"I read the latest issue of the Daily Prophet, and I feel like Fudge is hiding something." Moody cast a probing look at Dumbledore. He could probably guess what happened last night.

Barty was actually very angry, but he had to hold it in now, and not let Dumbledore see any flaws, otherwise he would be really finished. Moreover, he couldn't drink tranquilizers, lest the other party see any flaws.

"It was Voldemort," said Dumbledore. "Voldemort used the Imperius Curse to control Barty. I suspect he had another helper besides Peter Pettigrew."

"who?"

"Barty Crouch Jr." Dumbledore said without hesitation.

"I think Barty Crouch Jr. died in Azkaban?"

Moody's face twitched slightly, and he frowned and said, "The body should have been buried in the cemetery of Azkaban by the Dementors."

"I know, but... Peter Pettigrew's body was also buried in Azkaban, but he is still alive, so Barty Crouch Jr. may not be dead either." Dumbledore murmured, "Otherwise, why would Voldemort control or even kill Barty?"

"Do you suspect Barty Crouch Jr. of sneaking into Hogwarts?"

"I don't know. If he really sneaked into Hogwarts and moved around under my nose, I would not have failed to notice something was wrong."

Dumbledore's control over Hogwarts is actually very strong, and basically few people can hide things from him.

"Are you suspicious of anyone in school, including me?" Moody said suddenly.

"Sorry old man."

"It's understandable. Before we find that guy, everyone looks suspicious." Moody didn't care too much about it. "However, we know both sides well enough. If you found anything suspicious about me, you would have subdued me in the first place."

Dumbledore did not object. This was indeed the reason why he only suspected Moody now. In fact, he should not show it, but he still let Moody know his attitude towards this matter and see how he would react.

"Tell me about what happened last night. Did you encounter Voldemort?" Moody changed the subject, showing enough curiosity and vigilance about what happened last night.

"Yes, Voldemort was transformed into a baby."

"He's back in physical form. That's not good news," Moody muttered.

"The situation is a bit bad. Once this happens, there will be another one. I still don't understand what Voldemort is doing." Dumbledore sighed and said, "That guy seems to be planning a big conspiracy. The Aurors found a lot of medicinal herbs in Barty's house."

"At least, you have successfully thwarted Voldemort's plot. If you can catch Peter Pettigrew, you should be able to get more useful information from him." Moody seemed a little regretful: "Besides, I am very interested in how Peter Pettigrew came back to life after his death."

"Mrs. Peter went to visit Azkaban two days ago." Dumbledore said suddenly.

"It's not worth it." Moody said after a moment's silence. "I remember that the Ministry of Magic would not easily allow family members to visit Azkaban. Fudge must have accepted the Galleons from them."
