Chapter 921: Extra Try it and you will die

Views:

Not long after parting with Potter and the other two, Moody went to the principal's office to ask about divination.

In fact, the wisest approach is to pretend you don't know and not touch upon this matter, because that way you won't make mistakes and won't be easily exposed.

But Moody still decided to go to Dumbledore and use this incident to find out his divination level.

Albert Anderson was so evil that Moody felt threatened.

As for the risk, Moody thought that the risk of being exposed by divination was not great. If the divination of the mudblood was really so accurate, how could Dumbledore not ask him for divination? And the other party still couldn't see through his disguise.

Moreover, if there really is a way to find the whereabouts of Peter Pettigrew, given Moody's character, he would definitely be willing to give it a try. After all, there is little risk, but the benefits could be huge.

"Alastor, what is it?" Dumbledore looked up at his old friend.

"I just met Harry Potter and heard him say that the magical boy Anderson is very good at divination. Did you know about this?" Moody pulled an armchair and sat opposite the principal.

"I have heard of that," Dumbledore said noncommittally.

"Then can we ask him to help us predict the whereabouts of Peter and Crouch?" Moody said while leaning on his cane. "Although I don't really believe in divination, Anderson is indeed a magical guy. I think he might be able to bring us unexpected surprises. Even if he fails, it's not a big deal. At least it's much better than the Ministry of Magic searching everywhere without any clues."

"You're right, maybe we should give it a try." Dumbledore nodded in agreement with Moody's idea. He picked up the feather pen on the table and wrote a letter to Albert, inviting him to come to the headmaster's office for tea in the evening.

At eight o'clock in the evening, Albert knocked on the door of the principal's office on time. When he pushed the door open, he found that Professor Moody was also there. He knew that the principal was looking for him for no good reason.

In fact, Albert came here hoping to get some tasks or benefits, but now it seems that Dumbledore obviously wanted him to help with divination.

"Professor Dumbledore, what do you want from me?" Albert asked knowingly.

"I hope you can help me predict the whereabouts of Peter Pettigrew and Barty Crouch Jr." Dumbledore asked with a smile, "What would you like to drink?"

"A cup of black tea." Albert frowned and reminded, "Divination is not omnipotent."

While drinking tea, he took the time to glance at his task panel. No new tasks were triggered, so Albert had no intention of trying to steal Barty Crouch Jr.'s identity.

After all, this guy still has several tasks to complete. If his identity is stripped off now, some tasks may not be completed, and the losses will be huge.

Of course, if the benefits given by Dumbledore were big enough, or if it triggered some rewarding task, Albert wouldn't mind stripping Barty Crouch Jr.'s identity right there and then.

"Give it a try. I believe in your ability to divine." Dumbledore said gently.

I also believe in my abilities, but you need to at least show some appreciation. Getting something for free is not a good habit.

Albert muttered to himself, preparing to pretend that he had not predicted anything if Dumbledore didn't give him something good.

Dumbledore seemed to see through Albert's thoughts. He placed an old notebook in front of Albert and said, "This is my notebook. Perhaps it can be useful to you."

Albert glanced at the contents and found that it was the Transformation Notes, so he reached out and took out the crystal ball from the Transformation Lizard Skin Bag to help with predictions.

Moody watched all this with interest.

"Where is Peter Pettigrew hiding?" After drinking his tea, Albert stared at the crystal ball in front of him and began to predict Peter Pettigrew's hiding place.

As for little Batty, it’s not possible now. After all, it’s not time to pick the fruits yet.

The mist on the crystal ball began to dissipate, revealing a red, white and blue flag, followed by a tulip wood sign marking the entrance to Dutch Wizard Street, and finally stopping in the dim house where Peter Pettigrew was holding a... package.

"Peter Pettigrew is hiding in the Netherlands..." Moody looked at Albert in surprise, with a flash of murderous intent in his eyes. He suddenly had a bad premonition. He never expected that this Mudblood could actually divine the approximate location of Peter Pettigrew.

"It seems that Peter helped Voldemort regain his body." Dumbledore looked at the package in Peter's arms and said, "This is really bad news."

"This is a very troublesome matter," said Professor Moody.

"Where's Barty Crouch Jr." Dumbledore glanced at Moody and asked Albert to continue with the second prophecy.

"Wait a moment, don't expect..."

Albert paused and looked at the task panel. Surprisingly, a new task was triggered: Try it and you will die.

Albert did not do divination right away. Instead, he pulled out his wand from under his robe and tapped the teacup. After refilling the tea, he took a sip and glanced at Barty Crouch Jr., then looked at his task and was briefly entangled. The reward for this task was very good. He could obtain a specific skill, and the experience points he received were also very rich, as well as skill points. However...

Little Barty seemed to have ill intentions towards him. Although he had thought that he might cause trouble for him before, but... his hatred value should not be too high. He was the type that he would kill at the same time. It was hard to say now.

Otherwise, take them all away in one go.

As for the sequel... Never mind. Even if Barty Crouch Jr. wasn't there, Voldemort would most likely be resurrected.

After Albert finished his tea, he reached out and touched the crystal ball under the gaze of Dumbledore and Moody. The white mist on the crystal ball began to spin rapidly, and soon a new image emerged: this time it was a stone sculpture of a winged wild boar, which undoubtedly referred to Hogwarts.

Next, a hand appeared in the crystal ball, holding a parchment with three inky footprints on it. Next to the footprints were the names of the people, Albus Dumbledore, Albert Anderson, and... Barty Crouch.

That's right, Barty Crouch, not Alastor Moody.

The atmosphere in the principal's office suddenly became tense.

At this moment, Albert took out a piece of parchment from his pocket and spread it out in front of the two of them. Three ink spots appeared on the map, which was exactly the picture seen in the crystal ball.

Well, it was a map with a footprint charm cast on it.

But this is not the point. The point is the names of the three people marked on the map.

Albert and Dumbledore both looked up at Moody, whose expression was completely distorted. When Moody was about to draw out his wand for a desperate counterattack, a red light quickly hit him.

Moody, or Barty Crouch Jr., who was preparing for a last-ditch effort, was hit by Dumbledore's wandless stunning spell and fainted instantly.

At this moment, a new picture appeared on the crystal ball. Two Dementors were dragging a person, and that person was Barty Crouch Jr.

"Oh my God, what happened?" The portraits woke up one after another.

"The Human Tracking Curse!" Dumbledore ignored the portrait and stared at the map and said softly, "I forgot about this. Even if I take the compound potion, I can't hide the Human Tracking Curse."

"So, I said that there are always problems with the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor at Hogwarts." Albert glanced at the completed tasks on the panel, then looked at the unconscious Moody and muttered, "But why did he suddenly become so upset that he asked me to predict his whereabouts?"

This is good, you will die if you try it.

"He probably thinks you're not capable of it!" Dumbledore said gently, looking in a good mood.

"Then I'll be leaving now. I'll leave this to you. Don't let anyone know that this matter has anything to do with me. It'll be a hassle." Albert picked up the Transformation Note and ran away.

After Albert left, Dumbledore's face suddenly turned gloomy. He used the fireplace to call Professor McGonagall and Professor Snape, and found Professor Moody who was imprisoned in the Office of Defense Against the Dark Arts. He used Veritaserum to listen to the whole story, and learned about the other party's plan to use Harry Potter's blood to resurrect Voldemort. His face became even gloomier.

"How did you find out?" Professor McGonagall asked curiously.

Dumbledore handed the map to Professor McGonagall.

Well, now they knew how Dumbledore figured out that Professor Moody was a fake.

"In fact, it was this fake professor who suggested to Dumbledore that he ask Albert Anderson to help divine the whereabouts of Peter Pettigrew and Barty Crouch Jr., and this is what happened." Phineas Nigellus laughed. He thought the whole thing was really funny.

After listening to Phineas Nigellus's description, Professor McGonagall and Professor Snape stared at little Barty Crouch in front of them in amazement, not knowing what to say for a moment.

"You mean Mr. Anderson knew through divination that Professor Moody was the true identity of Barty Crouch Jr." Professor McGonagall felt that the whole thing was full of magic, and it was Barty Crouch Jr. himself who proposed the divination

What are these things

"So, this guy actually killed himself because of his stupidity?" Snape said with a strange expression.

"This is more of an accident. Who would have known that Mr. Anderson is such a powerful prophet?" Dumbledore shook his head and said, "Remember to keep this secret, otherwise Mr. Anderson might be in a lot of trouble."
