"It's almost time, we should go to the Quidditch field." Dumbledore closed his pocket watch and called Albert downstairs.
They didn't speak any more along the way, and they didn't meet Harry Potter on the way.
The two walked through the hall, into the overcast night, and along the dark lawn towards the Quidditch pitch. At the entrance to the Quidditch pitch, they met Hermione and Ron, who were obviously accompanying Harry.
"Good evening."
Albert greeted the two with a smile.
"We'll accompany Harry here. It's not safe at night." Hermione said quickly, not knowing whether she was talking to Albert or explaining to Dumbledore.
"See you later."
After entering the Quidditch field, Albert found that it had completely changed. The field was no longer flat and smooth. Hagrid had built countless long low walls here. These low walls were intricate, winding and stretching in all directions.
Albert thought he should take some photos and study the maze map in advance.
"Good evening!"
A voice rang out on the court.
Amelia Bones came over with Krum, Fleur and Harry.
"Good evening, Amelia."
Dumbledore greeted him, and after noticing Harry's hesitation, he smiled and explained, "Once the Triwizard Tournament is over, the Quidditch field will be restored to its original state! Well, I think you can guess what we are here for, right?"
No one spoke for a moment, and everyone looked at Albert.
"The third project is a maze," said Albert.
"That's right!" Dumbledore explained happily, "The third task is very simple. We will place the Triwizard Tournament trophy in the center of the maze. The first warrior to touch it will get full marks."
"We just need to pass through the maze?" Furong obviously didn't think the third task would be that easy.
"There will be many obstacles in the maze," said Dumbledore. "Hagrid has provided a large number of magical animals, and there are also some spells that need to be removed. The third task will mainly test your strength, wisdom, courage and bravery. The warrior with the highest score will enter the maze first."
"I understand that the first warrior who wins the Triwizard Tournament trophy will win the Triwizard Tournament?" Albert suddenly asked.
"Yes, that's it." Dumbledore nodded. "Any other questions?"
"What advantages does the warrior who enters the maze first have?" Albert felt that the rules of the Triwizard Tournament were very strange in his previous life, and now he can finally complain about it.
"Advantage?"
"Yes, the advantage, can it be just entering the maze a few seconds earlier than other warriors?" Albert's expression became more and more strange, "Or can it allow the warriors with the leading points to gain a clear time advantage?"
"There is no time advantage." Dumbledore obviously realized the problem, but still said, "The difference between the warriors entering the maze one after another is not big."
"The rules of the Triwizard Tournament are really terrible!" After hearing Albert's complaints, everyone turned their heads and stared at him
"Do you have any other questions, Mr. Anderson?" Amelia Bones raised her eyebrows and looked at Albert.
"This means that both games will be meaningless." Albert directly pointed out the problem with the Triwizard Tournament.
"How can it be meaningless."
"Does it really make sense for the leading warriors to complete the maze first according to the scoring order? Can they have a huge advantage?" Albert shook his head. "No, let alone leading by a few seconds, even leading by a minute is meaningless. The third event directly negates the meaning of the previous two events and negates all the efforts of the warriors."
"If you fail in the first two games, but get the trophy in the maze in the third game, what's the point of winning the championship?"
Everyone was stunned, looking at Albert with strange expressions, who had scored full marks in the first two games. They didn't think that Albert was complaining because his advantages were lost in the third event.
"Don't look at me like that. Even if I start ten minutes later than you, I'm still confident that I can win the championship." Albert curled his lips and said, "I've participated in many kinds of competitions, and the mechanism of the Triwizard Tournament is the worst. It can't even be relatively fair. I don't know if it's always been this bad, or if this year is so bad."
"Is there a big problem?"
Harry really didn't see that he didn't actually care, nor did he think Albert cared, the tone was just a complaint.
"The warrior who wins the trophy in the third event gets full marks, while the others get no marks, right? And the result of the competition is the total score of all the marks added together, right?" Albert asked Dumbledore.
"Yes, that is true," Dumbledore nodded.
"Wouldn't it be embarrassing if we got the trophy but lost the overall score and failed to win the championship?" Albert said with an increasingly strange expression, "So the other participants in the third event will not get any points to ensure that the warrior who gets the trophy wins the championship. But this means that winning the trophy means winning the championship, and the first two events will completely lose their meaning."
"Mr. Anderson, what do you think?" Amelia Bones also realized the problem.
"It's not a brilliant idea. I just want to remind you that the rules of the Triwizard Tournament should be changed. Even the Magic School Potions Championship, which has been criticized by countless people, does not have this problem. Even if it cannot be completely fair, at least it must be relatively fair. This is very important." Albert reminded, "Besides, it is not difficult to do this."
Perhaps this statement would be more convincing if Albert had not scored full marks in the previous two games.
Anyone with a little bit of common sense could hear the problem. However, Albert's overwhelming strength allowed all the warriors to keep a clear head and not feel any envy or jealousy.
Envy and jealousy are based on the fact that everyone is on the same level.
This approach of winning the championship by winning the third game is simply throwing the previous two events underfoot and trampling on the faces of all the warriors.
It’s just that no one cares about the outcome of the game, so no one noticed that there were big problems with the Triwizard Tournament.
"It has been a long time since the Triwizard Tournament was held, and it is inevitable that there will be some oversights and problems during the period." Dumbledore looked at Albert with a smile, "But I think it should not make much difference to you."
"I don't mind, I just want to mention it so that the next Triwizard Tournament won't be this bad. Although we don't know if there will be a next one yet."
Albert glanced at the task panel. The task that had previously triggered the problem with the rules of the Triwizard Tournament had been completed.
For some reason, Dumbledore suddenly had a strange feeling.
This is a warning.
Yes, warning.
Albert obviously would not deliberately cause trouble. Even if he knew that there were problems with the rules of the Triwizard Tournament, he would probably only remind him privately.
However, Albert now said it directly, and the conversation in the office made him feel more and more that this was a warning.
If Albert knew what Dumbledore was thinking, he would definitely complain: You think too much.
He was just doing a mission, the experience reward was not much, but it was not too little either.
As for what to warn
Albert really didn't know.
However, what he didn't know was that Dumbledore really had a feeling that if Albert did die during the third task, something terrible might happen.
In fact, Dumbledore's instinct was right.
Albert was indeed well prepared, even considering the possibility that he might die in the maze.
If he were to die unfortunately, he would recklessly overturn the chessboard and put the blame on everyone. Then all the secrets would be exposed and no one would have an easy life. I believe that the entire wizarding world would be put on a wonderful show.
Anyway, I will be dead by then, and arrangements have been made for the rest of my family.
No matter how chaotic the wizarding world is, it's none of his business.
"If there are no other questions, then let's go back. It's already late. Be careful on your way back." Dumbledore said with a smile.
Everyone left the Quidditch field. Amelia Bones quietly walked up to Albert and said in a low voice, "Can I talk to you for a few words?"
"No problem." Albert nodded.
"Someone suggested that I come to you. They said you made a prediction!" Amelia Bones did not forget the purpose of this trip and went straight to the point.
To be honest, Amelia Bones didn't have to come. After all, she was just a temporary referee. Even if she had to come, it should have been the new Director of the Department of Magical Games and Sports, but the new Director was a temporary transfer and was currently cleaning up the mess left behind by Ludo Bagman.
Most of the directors of the Department of Magical Games and Sports are Quidditch players. If nothing unexpected happened, Ludo Bagman would have stayed in this position for at least a few more years, and his successor would have been trained by then, but that guy let everyone down.
That's why Amelia Bones, the Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, took the time to come here, in order to make the Triwizard Tournament look fairer.
"What do you want from me?" Albert asked.
"That prophecy, they say you are a very powerful prophet." Amelia Bones said.
"People like you definitely don't believe this kind of nonsense." Albert knew that the other party didn't believe it completely and probably came here just to try his luck.
After all, seeing is believing.
"No, I do." Amelia Bones said seriously, "I want to know the truth."
"Well, it doesn't matter anyway. Just as the prophecy you heard, the mysterious man will make a comeback soon." Albert stopped and asked Bones, "Didn't you go find other famous fortune tellers? At least they are more reliable than me, an ungraduated wizard."
"If you are not reliable, then who is? Mr. Anderson, don't underestimate yourself." Amelia Bones said softly: "Many fortune tellers are not reliable. Not many people have the innate ability to predict."
"Cassandra Vabrsky." Albert said without hesitation: "The author of "Seeing the Future Through the Mist" should be able to give you the answer. I remember that she should not be dead yet."
"She's very old and no longer does divination for people." Amelia Bones is considering the possibility of visiting Cassandra Wabrsky. The two sides have no friendship at all, and Cassandra Wabrsky has long stopped doing divination for people. "
"The Centaurs believed that the wizarding world was just experiencing a brief period of peace between the two wars, and I saw from the crystal ball an article in the Daily Prophet about the return of the mysterious man." Albert introduced his divination ability to Amelia Bones, "I can only predict the future through the crystal ball. What I see may not be true, but at least I saw it."
As he spoke, Albert pulled out a bag from his pocket, took out a small crystal ball from it, and handed it to Bones. On the crystal ball was a report about Voldemort.
"You're not going to catch me!" Albert said suddenly.
Amelia Bones glanced at the bag in Albert's hand that was cast with the traceless extension spell, but didn't care. Instead, she returned the crystal ball to Albert and said, "It seems you know why I came to you."
"I know something." Albert said suddenly, "but..."
"But what?" Bones asked.
"You could be dying."
"You predicted my death?" Amelia Bones' face turned very ugly, but soon returned to normal.
“You can think of it that way.”
"Who killed me?" Bones asked.
"The one who killed you will probably be the mysterious man. They won't allow you to take Fudge's place. I heard that you have a grudge against the mysterious man." Albert reminded.
There is more than just hatred. The Bones family is one of the most powerful families.
Now the whole family is beginning to decline, all due to Voldemort and the Death Eaters. This is why she hurried to find Albert today.
"Thank you for the warning."
Bones didn't completely believe it, but he was still alert because she did have a deep hatred for Voldemort and the Death Eaters.
"Gambling is not a good habit, and you usually lose badly." Albert warned, "For people like you who have deep hatred, I suggest you avoid it for a few years. Good luck!"
"You mean..."
Amelia Bones looked at Albert's back as he left, and she noticed that he used the word "you guys".
She was alone, and the rest of her family had died in the last wizarding war. The so-called "you" should refer to her and her relatives.
Does this mean that she and her relatives will be in danger
We will soon know whether the prophecy is accurate or not.
In fact, Albert never cared whether Amelia Bones would die or what would happen to the Bones family. After all, they were just strangers, and they were just doing each other a favor. It didn't hurt him anyway.
Cast a wide net and catch more fish.
She was a strong woman, and it was impossible for her to give up her career and hide away after listening to Albert's reminder, so she would probably die.
Even if Amelia Bones became the Minister of Magic in the end, she would most likely die because of her huge hatred for Voldemort and the Death Eaters.
