It is like the sun wheel, with perfect body and boundless brightness. It cannot give people the feeling of full enlightenment, radiance and purity of Buddha nature.
The bronze bell entered the square with a buzzing sound, and finally rushed into the sky, and then fell firmly to the ground, and a simple-faced monk appeared in the square.
Some people recognize that this is not Huike. There are still people who recognize this monk, who clearly cultivates the power of Vajra in Vajra Temple.
The sound of the bell was dull and powerful, and it took a long time to stop.
The monk put his hands together and said, "Little monk Hongzhen, my master Huike would like to ask the venerable about the sound of the bell."
Venerable Baoyue seemed to have lotus flowers flowing in his eyes. He looked at the monk and smiled lightly: "How do you want to ask?"
Everyone knew clearly that this was Huike's question.
Shen Lian focused on Hongzhen. This monk was no different from the first time he met him. If there was any difference, it was because he had not made any progress at all.
Although it has only been a short time since we last met, practicing cultivation is like sailing against the current. If you don't advance, you will retreat. By refining your own spiritual sense, he is no different from last time.

"The shadow arises from the form, and the sound follows the sound. Abandon the shadow and work with the form, not recognizing the form as the original shadow. Raise the sound to stop the sound, not knowing that the sound is the root of the sound. Eliminate the troubles and achieve nirvana. It is a metaphor to get rid of the form and find the shadow. Stay away from all living beings. Seeking the fruit of Buddhism means seeking the sound of silence. Therefore, there is only one way to understand and understand, and there is no difference between ignorance and name. Who is wrong? It is empty and empty."
This Buddhist verse is quite long, but when everyone heard it, they all interpreted it. Even Huanzhen Taoist had a thoughtful look on his face.
Because this verse actually has the same posture as Buddhism and Taoism, it has profound meaning. The sentence "abandoning shadows and laboring for shape" is actually derived from the book "The Way of Heaven" in the "Nanhua Sutra". How about self-cultivation. It can be said that if you seek truth and get rid of falsehood, you will abandon your shadow and labor over your form. If the body is delusional, it is true, as if it is a shadow. Ordinary monks can only remain confused, but only people like Bai Shi, Huan Zhen, and Shen Lian can understand it.
They are people who are qualified to break free from illusions and grasp their true nature. It's just that whether they understand this step or not, whether they can do it is another matter.
Just like illusion, it has no substance in itself.
Huike didn't mean to break the illusion, he had an ulterior motive. Such thoughts came to Shen Lian's mind.
Because illusion cannot be explained clearly and cannot be explained. Everyone is different. Some people kill Buddhas when they meet, and they achieve immortality by killing their ancestors when they meet; some people are compassionate throughout their lives and repay evil with kindness, and they also realize their true nature.
But in essence, it is nothing more than the Tathagata speaking the Dharma. Kasyapa held up a flower and smiled, becoming a demon with a single thought, and a Buddha with a single thought. It's not about becoming a Buddha or a demon, it's about thinking, which is the heart.
After hearing this verse, Venerable Baoyue smiled, like spring flowers and autumn moon, which made people feel peaceful. He only heard him say: "Since Huike asked this, he must already know the answer, why bother asking me."
Hongzhen replied: "Although my teacher knows it, it still needs words from your venerable master to clear up the confusion."
Venerable Baoyue sighed softly and said slowly: "If he makes a verse, I will also reply with a verse. Listen carefully."
But I saw Venerable Baoyue's young face showing a bit more solemnity. The Buddha's sound resounded inside and outside the square, and every word reached everyone's ears. "Everyone's intention is true, but the truth is actually different." This Mimani suddenly realizes that they are true pearls. Ignorance, wisdom, etc. should know that all dharmas are the same. I am sorry for the two views and write this book. There is no difference between meditating on the body and the Buddha. There is nothing left to look for."
As soon as this verse came out, it was not the Taoist monks who were shocked, but the famous monks, monks and nuns like Xihuang.
Because what Venerable Baoyue said was originally an explanation of Huike's Buddhism. The original intention of Huike is to firmly believe that all living beings have the same true nature. If you can give up illusion and return to the true state, you will be in the realm of mortals and saints. Therefore, the essence of all living beings and Buddhas is the same. Therefore, the old Buddhism promoted by these monks makes people willing to be enslaved. It is wrong to regard noble people as inherently noble.
Huike's theory is actually not his original creation. It has its roots in Buddhism. It is also called the "Buddha's Heart Sect", which is a separate sect of Buddhism, and some people call it "Zen Sect".
In the Zhou Dynasty, it spread secretly and gradually grew stronger.
The current cohesiveness of the Buddha's Heart Sect is not as good as that of the original eight major schools of Buddhism: Shishi Sect, Kusha Sect, Vinaya Sect, Sanlun Sect, Tiantai Sect, Faxiang Sect, Huayan Sect, and Shingon Sect.
However, it is more directly aimed at people's hearts, and it has been recognized by some immortals, so it is quite full of vitality.
Now even Venerable Baoyue has turned against him, which is really an internal change in Buddhism today.

He is really angry. Firstly, he failed to embarrass Shen Lian. Secondly, after today, many people will pay attention to this internal change in Buddhism, which is not conducive to the expansion of the influence of the Guangqing Immortal Sect.
At the same time, Baoyue and Huike's move also attracted some Taoist monks. Their teaching that all living beings have Buddha nature does not conflict with Taoism. Using Buddhism to open the door to convenience, I am afraid there are many casual practitioners. Even the authentic Taoist traditions are willing to communicate with them.

Venerable Baoyue couldn't help but look up at the handsome face, and then his face darkened. As he waved his hand, the golden Buddha's light moved up, trying to hold up the demonic cloud that had fallen down.
Someone in the demon cloud laughed loudly and said: "Anyone who doesn't want to die, get out of here."
Shocking spiritual pressure fell from the sky, causing ripples in the void.
Many monks felt this spiritual pressure and knew that demons at least at the immortal level were coming. It was not uncommon for gods to fight and mortals to suffer.
In the blink of an eye, densely packed magic weapons appeared in the square and scattered in all directions.
