Relying on the Gate of Wonders, Shen Lian has the deepest connection with the boundless universe. He is almost like a Taoist master and can control the origin of the universe.
That is another perspective, overlooking all living beings.
If someone like Xuandu comes to experience this realm, he will be assimilated to the ultimate way. Although it will give them abilities close to those of a Taoist master, they will definitely lose themselves.
But Shen Lian is able to maintain his independence and understand the difference between things and me.
Even if life is like a dream, he still knows what his life is.
The drums in the evening and the bells in the morning are endless, and the chants of the Buddha are in my ears. But there was no way to disturb Shen Lian anymore. He rode the wind and waves step by step, and wherever he passed, there was beauty everywhere.
Finally, the evening drum and morning bell hanging on the Great Leiyin Temple shattered into pieces and turned into butterfly pieces, flying one after another.
Shen Lian appeared again, holding a fragment in his hand. The fragments immediately turned into light sand, flowed away from his fingertips, and disappeared into the void.
This movement finally alerted the monks in the Main Hall, and they were all surprised and confused.
They all looked back and saw a young Taoist coming out of the gate.
He was the person whom the Buddha had transferred. The monks were puzzled and felt that this young Taoist was a little rude.
The monks went to see the Buddha again, but the Buddha disappeared.
Shen Lian had already reached the square outside the main hall. He saw the Buddha disappear. Then he looked up and saw the Buddha in the sky at the end of the endless clouds and smoke.
Silently, a huge palm fell from the sky.
No one in the world can avoid this palm, and Shen Lian has nowhere to hide.
He could only raise one palm and open two doors, one was the Gate of Mysteries and the other was the Gate of Mysterious Women.
As soon as these two mysterious portals appeared, they were greeted by palm power falling from the sky, and then were shattered. There was no earth-shattering explosion, and no vigorous momentum.
The two portals, which can suppress all evil spirits and heretics in the world, disperse like sand in front of the giant palm.
In the end, Shen Lian's fleshy palm hit the Buddha's palm hard.
An invisible palm print appeared in the square, and Shen Lian was no longer there.
Maybe he was destroyed by the Buddha's palm and disappeared into ashes. Or he escaped, but that was extremely unlikely.
Because that is the palm of Buddha, falling from the sky, there is nowhere to escape.
The Buddha once again appeared in the Mahavira Hall and said to the monks: "I am experiencing profound suffering throughout the three realms. The fundamental nature will eventually disappear. It is the same as the void, and there is nothing. It is unknown to the Taoist people who have perished. It is called the beginning of life and death. , the law is like this.”
Of course the monks know that the first half of the chapter is the Nirvana Sutra taught by the Buddha before, which refers to the three realms and six paths, the void of heaven and earth, and no birth or death. The meaning of the second half of the paragraph is that the Taoist who came was originally like the void, neither born nor destroyed, and had nothing. But after having the appearance and name of the Taoist, he had the cessation of life and death.
Because of this, Taoists will be surrendered by the Buddha.
Although the monks understood the general idea, they were still curious about who this Taoist was.
A monk asked: "Who is this Taoist?"
The Buddha said: "This man came from the Qingxuan Immortal Mountain. He has boundless magical power. He came to find me to resolve a piece of cause and effect."
The monk asked: "Is that the cause and effect of the Buddha's salvation?"
"When I am in the world, there is this cause and effect. When I am not in the world, there is no such cause and effect. Now that I have come here, I will have today's ending. But from now on, there will be no such cause and effect." Buddha said.
The monk clasped his hands together and said, "I am a boundless Buddha!"
The Buddha smiled and continued to explain the wonderful Dharma.
After Shen Lian was struck by the Buddha's palm, he lost his form and spirit.
As the Buddha said, after he takes form as a god, he will experience birth, death and cessation, and will naturally be surrendered by the Buddha. But now his body and spirit have been destroyed, he has nothing, his nature is empty, and even the Taoist Master cannot touch him.
Of course, it is not entirely correct to say that his body and soul are destroyed, because he still has a trace of his spirit left in the world.
It's just that this trace of divine will is covered with a layer of Nirvana Dharma, which prevents him from continuing to evolve into a spiritual form and manifest into the human world again.
Nor can it completely destroy it, return it to nothingness, and then create something out of nothing.
Shen Lian was not sad, but admired Buddha for coming up with this way to deal with him.
If one word could be used to describe Shen Lian's current state, it would be "not on this shore, not on the other shore." This shore is reality, and the other shore is escape from the suffering of the world. This is tantamount to refining between reality and detachment.
If you are not in reality, it is difficult to interfere with reality. Not being on the other side means there is no detachment.
But Shen Lian can go anywhere in the world. It can even be said that he can appear anywhere with a thought, but he can only be a bystander.
The Buddha trapped Shen Lian in this period of history. This was probably the intention of all Taoist masters. They did not want Shen Lian to make any more changes.
Shen Lian is not afraid that he will be trapped forever, because as he clearly understands, because of the existence of form and spirit, he will have the cessation of life and death, so as long as the Buddha Dharma of cessation exists, it can be destroyed.
Give him a period of time, and he will always be able to break through this layer of Nirvana. It is just a matter of time.
In this state, his realm is still there, and no secret in the world can be hidden from him. It is equivalent to knowing everything, but he cannot be omnipotent.
Shen Lian found this situation novel and interesting, and he even walked into the main hall without any scruples.
He could hear the Buddha's teachings. Moreover, this time the Buddha was talking about the Nirvana Sutra, specifically discussing Shen Lian's current state.

Shen Lian walked up to a monk with long eyebrows, squatted down, and tried to pull his eyebrows, but it had no effect. The long-browed monk couldn't help but blink. He felt something strange in his heart, but found nothing.
Then Shen Lian came to the Buddha again and jumped up and landed on the Buddha's shoulders. If a monk observes carefully, he will feel that the Buddha's light on the Buddha's shoulders is a little stronger.
Shen Lian saw the Buddha turning his head sideways and glanced at him, but made no move after all.
Shen Lian knew very well in his heart that the Buddha could either completely annihilate him and return him to nothingness, or he could only let him be like this. But if Shen Lian returns to nothing, he will naturally be able to create something out of nothing, which means that all the previous efforts will be in vain.
Because of this, Shen Lian also understood that as long as the Taoist Buddha is in the world, there will naturally be things that he cannot do. This is not because the Taoist and the Buddha are incompetent, but because the world is inherently flawed and not perfect. Naturally, the Taoist Even after the Buddha appeared in the world, he could not be called perfect.
Shen Lian made a fuss in Daleiyin Temple for a while, and it seemed that the Buddha didn't want to see him, so he left on his own initiative.
