However, Liu Bang abandoned the lives of his wife, children, parents and the people, and did not care about his own career as an emperor, causing the lives of the people to suffer. Although he was defeated, if he gave up the war for hegemony, the people might also be able to live in peace. This was also the will of heaven. Since he wanted to cross the Wujiang River, he might have been ambushed by others, and it was difficult to have both.
Xiang Yu got the advice of the Hu monk and headed east out of the swamp and headed straight for the East City. After fighting all the way, when he arrived at the East City, only 28 followers were left, trapped on the Sigui Mountain. Xiang Yu said to his followers: This is the will of heaven to destroy me, not the fault of war. In order to save the children of Jiangdong, Xiang Yu rushed down the mountain ridge, killed the Han generals and the captain, and broke out of the siege. He gathered with 28 people who were divided into three groups and went straight to the Wujiang River. Although Xiang Yu committed suicide on the bank of the Wujiang River, this was the last victory of Xiang Yu since he was born, and it was the best portrayal of his never-say-die and heroic spirit. It was praised by future generations.
The Taoist told Elder Jingtian about Xiang Yu's deeds and the long-standing reputation of this place. Elder Jingtian was secretly happy.
