After leaving the hospital, they went to the police station and it was already noon when they finished taking their statements.
They had lunch at a nearby restaurant. When leaving, Feng Si mentioned that there was a flea market nearby and asked Lu Jingshen if he wanted to go and take a look.
"I went there once when I was here before. There are a lot of fun things. Are you interested?"
Lu Jingshen actually didn’t care. Since Feng Si wanted to go, he followed him.
The flea market is in a nearby square, with scattered stalls selling all kinds of things. Pedestrians walk among them, and the sound of people talking and asking prices is endless.
A place full of urban flavor.
Although this scene was rare for Lu Jingshen, it was not unfamiliar. He had been to similar places with Feng Si before.
When they were in Africa, they came across such a gathering while passing through a city. They stopped by to have a look and bought a bunch of local specialties, including the leather rope he had been wearing on his wrist all these years.
It was a leather rope made from hand-tanned skin of a special local rhinoceros. The vendor who sold it to them said that wearing it would bring them good luck. The price was very cheap, so he and Feng Si each bought one.
Lu Jingshen didn't know whether the leather rope would really bring good luck. After Feng Si casually put it on his wrist that year, he had never taken it off in the past seven years.
It was not until he unexpectedly met Feng Si that he took off the leather rope and put it away, perhaps because he felt guilty about leaving without saying goodbye.
While Lu Jing was in a daze, Feng Si leaned towards him and asked, "Are you in a daze again?"
The breath coming closer made Lu Jingshen subconsciously want to turn his face away, but Feng Si reached out and supported one side of his cheek, preventing him from doing so: "What are you thinking about?"
Lu Jingshen turned his gaze to him: "Nothing, what do you want to buy?"
"Just take a look."
Feng Si said this, hooked his arm around his waist, held him and continued walking forward.
In public, such an intimate gesture made Lu Jingshen feel a little uncomfortable. Feng Si's voice fell close to him: "Let's just leave it at that. There are too many people here. Be careful not to get separated or run into someone who is looking for trouble again."
Lu Jingshen was convinced and no longer resisted.
Feng Si was in high spirits along the way, stopping from time to time to pick and choose at the stalls and bargain with people.
Lu Jingshen was not very interested in the things being sold. His eyes occasionally fell on Feng Si, noticing the upward curve of his lips and the color of the afternoon sun between his eyebrows.
After a round of shopping, Feng Si was relatively restrained today and only bought a few things, but they were all beyond Lu Jingshen's expectations.
A vintage gramophone, two vinyl records, and a collection of poems published in the last century.
Lu Jingshen didn't know how to comment: "... You bought these?"
"No?" Feng Si raised his eyebrows and smiled.
Lu Jingshen: "It's not like your style."
Feng Si asked him: "So what is my style? Unserious? Hooligan? Sloppy?"
Lu Jingshen was speechless. Feng Si had said it all himself, so what else could he say
"Actually, I am quite serious sometimes." Feng Si said, "Don't you think so?"
Lu Jingshen was completely speechless: "After buying things, do you want to continue shopping? Or go back?"
Feng Si nodded casually: "Then let's go back."
That kind of thing just happened last night, and he didn't want to stay outside too long.
