When Hubert came to his senses, he found himself surrounded by blood crystal beasts.

Another giant wolf rushed towards him. He clenched the spear in his hand, and the inscription on his arm lit up... A powerful force poured into his whole body.

But before he could thrust the spear in his hand, something sharp passed by his ear at high speed.

Hubert only felt that someone had stabbed his eardrum fiercely, and the sharp pain rushed straight into his mind.

But what was even more painful was the giant wolf in front of him. A gorgeous flower bloomed again on the giant wolf's head, but the petals of this flower were the blood and "brains" surrounding the giant wolf's body.

The giant wolf lost its balance in an instant and slid uncontrollably to Hubert's feet.

Hubert looked at the giant wolf...it was not dead yet. When it supported its body and tried to stand up again, two small red flowers bloomed on its head.

The sticky liquid from the giant wolf splashed onto Hubert's cheek, and his body trembled uncontrollably.

At this moment Hubert suddenly had an illusion.

There was an invisible god of death on this battlefield. It swung its scythe and cut off the heads of these giant wolves in an instant.

It should not be cut off, but crushed.

Hubert looked around blankly. The eight giant wolves that had walked out of the forest had all fallen to the ground. The wounds on their bodies were so hideous that it looked as if they had been pierced by a huge spear.

The tip of this spear is also attached with magic that has an explosive effect.

"General Hubert!"

Seventeenth Princess Elena grabbed the giant wolf's jaws with both hands, trying to tear it in half, but the giant wolf still struggled in Elena's hands, trying to stretch out its sharp claws to tear into pieces the walking beast that Elena was sitting on.

But before the giant wolf could struggle for even a second, its head exploded instantly... and scarlet liquid bloomed again in the night sky.

Elena took this opportunity to rescue General Hubert who was lying in the mud.

"Don't come over here!"

Hubert shouted loudly to stop Elena's rash behavior.

All the blood crystal beasts that attacked them have died, and their deaths were extremely miserable.

These giant wolves that could swallow humans in one gulp all fell to the ground in less than ten seconds and turned into headless corpses.

The god of death? The god of thunder

Hubert didn't know which god had done this, but that god did not leave the battlefield.

Hubert could feel this...creepy feeling of being stared at by an unknown death.

It was as if the invisible god was standing in front of him, holding the sharp blade against his neck and tilting his head to examine him.

What should I do at this time

Hubert was not afraid of death, but he was afraid that he would die in obscurity!

He racked his brains to think of some methods of worshiping the gods.

Finally, Hubert only thought of a universal method. He knelt down in the mud and opened his arms to the sky.

When Hubert was about to say something to the gods, a heavy rain began to fall from the sky which had already been covered with dark clouds.

Rain...is this the response from the gods

Hubert watched as raindrops fell from the sky, washing away the scarlet liquid from his armor.

For a moment Hubert couldn't figure out what the god was thinking, but he vaguely heard someone calling him in the heavy rain.

Could it be that the gods were communicating with him? Hubert closed his eyes and concentrated, trying to hear clearly what the gods were saying to him.

Finally he succeeded in capturing the voice, and what the god was saying was...

"What are you doing standing outside in the rain? And where are your horses?"

Suddenly Hubert opened his eyes, stood up from the mud, turned around and looked towards the church, where the sound came from.

Located on the second floor of the church, there was a blinding white light, the likes of which Hubert had never seen before.

Hubert subconsciously walked slowly towards the location where the light came from.

… … …

The firewood crackled as the flames burned, and the light from the burning woodpile illuminated the interior of the church.

But the heat emitted was not enough to dispel the dampness and coldness in the church.

Lu Cheng stood behind the firewood pile. The light shone on Lu Cheng, projecting his back onto the wall like a giant.

All the refugees huddled behind Lu Cheng, while the kingdom’s army, who were supposed to protect them, were standing at the door of the church, looking at Lu Cheng vigilantly.

The atmosphere seemed a little tense for a moment. Lu Cheng sighed and took the initiative to break the eerie silence.

"Aren't you cold standing at the door?" Lu Cheng said.

"Who are you?"

Hubert held the spear tightly in his hand, while Princess Elena and other soldiers also held their weapons and stared at... the group of people who suddenly appeared in the church.

Hubert did not see any soldiers armed with armor or swords on this group of people. Logically speaking, they should be far less threatening than the group of blood crystal beasts outside.

But their attire was too weird, as was their temperament.

Hubert shifted his gaze to the iron ring and the kite standing behind Lu Cheng. Hubert judged at a glance that they were soldiers who had experienced fighting on the battlefield.

"The messenger of the God of Thunder?"

Elena tentatively asked about Lu Cheng and the others' identities. She had clearly heard the thunder-like gunshots coming from the second floor of the church during the previous battle.

"God's messenger? Unfortunately, we have nothing to do with the God of your imagination."

Lu Cheng pointed with his right thumb to the scarlet flag on the left side of his heart.

"We are soldiers of the Celestial Empire."

Is he really a soldier

Elena stared at the emblem on Lucheng’s chest…it was a scarlet flag.

She had never seen the national flags in her royal diplomacy classes before. No matter how hard she tried to recall, she could not find the corresponding flags in the countries around Skarre, and she could not find any corresponding flags even in more distant countries.

"Which country are you soldiers from? The Principality of Leslota in the south? Or the Kingdom of Xiuenzhelai in the north..."

Elena could only regard it as a flag unique to a certain country's secret forces.

"We come from another world, a world called Earth."

In order to prove this, Lu Cheng showed the other party the Holy Crystal on his left hand and summoned a portal on the ground.

The portal lasted less than three seconds before disappearing instantly.

But this is enough to prove to Elena and Hubert that Lucheng is indeed a human being from another world.

"This is a teleportation magic I've never seen before. Are you really visitors from another world?"

Elena still held a skeptical attitude, as this was completely beyond her imagination.

"You can understand it as coming from a distant country, but this country has the power to crush everything here into pieces," Lu Cheng said.
