After Xia Yu woke up, he remembered the contents of his dream and lay in bed for a long time.

It was not until Xu Zhan came knocking on the door and called him to get up that he came to his senses and answered in a hoarse voice.

"knew."

He wiped his face, remembered that he had an appointment with a client this morning, and climbed out of the quilt with a sigh.

When he came out after washing up, Xu Zhan was just about to leave. Seeing that he looked tired, he smiled and said, "There's breakfast in the kitchen, remember to eat it."

Xia Yu was a little happier, "Okay."

Breakfast was Xia Yu's favorite ciabatta and mixed vegetables, and Xu Zhan also left him a portion of oatmeal porridge.

While eating, he thought that just for Xu Zhan's cooking skills, he would be willing to stay with Xu Zhan for another twenty years.

After breakfast, Xia Yu packed up simply and went to meet the client.

Although he initially relied on the connections provided by his family in running the gallery over the years, over the past few years he has gradually established a foothold in this area through the exclusive agency rights for the painters he discovered.

He has his own customer base, and they are familiar with each other, so communication is smoother.

Although he said he was going to meet a client, he didn't take it too seriously and just dressed simply to meet the client.

The collector's name is Wu Xiu. He has a plain face and seems inconspicuous, but his words are extremely sharp.

He actually already had a painting he liked, which he wanted to hang in his recently purchased new home. The whole transaction process went extremely smoothly. The two of them stood in the gallery, looking at the paintings and chatting.

It was almost noon. Xia Yu looked at his watch and asked politely if he wanted to have lunch together.

Wu Xiu shook his head.

"I still have things to do," he said truthfully, but he looked at Xia Yu again, "Mr. Xia, you look listless today."

He pointed at the area under Xia Yu's eyes and said, "Your eyes are blue and you didn't get enough rest. It doesn't look good."

If someone else says this, it sounds a bit intimate.

But Wu Xiu's tone was cold and indifferent, and there was almost no emotion in his voice.

Xia Yu couldn't help but touch his face, "Really? I had a dream yesterday and didn't sleep well."

"A nightmare?"

Xia Yu recalled and nodded slightly.

"Yes, nightmare."

Wu Xiu didn't ask any more questions, and told Xia Yu to remember to give him the painting, then left.

Xia Yu went to have lunch alone.

He ate a healthy breakfast, but wanted to eat junk food at noon, so he went to a nearby store and bought a hamburger and a Coke.

While drinking an ice-cold Coke, he stared at his phone with a conflicted look.

He was hesitating whether to call Lu Zhao.

The conversation with Lu Zhao yesterday was actually abandoned halfway. Since he told Xu Zhan that he would handle it, he wanted to talk to Lu Zhao again to make sure that Lu Zhao would not do anything unnecessary.

But he instinctively resisted meeting Lu Zhao, so his brows were furrowed and he was very conflicted.

But before he could finish his struggle, Lu Zhao called.

Looking at the familiar number on the phone, Xia Yu's heart suddenly skipped a beat.

He picked up the phone in the noisy burger shop. "Hello?"

"It's me, Lu Zhao."

"I know."

Xia Yu suddenly lost his appetite.

"What do you want to do now?" he asked impatiently.
