Chapter 229: meet

This was a tough chase. In the darkness, two monsters collided and fought each other. The entire underground space shook wildly. As the fight became more intense, gravel and dust flew everywhere.

The vision has become completely chaotic. Baner destroyed everything around him as he moved forward. The steam pipes were repeatedly cut and damaged by the bone blades. The air in the space became more and more humid and stuffy. The visible range kept shrinking. Even Lorenzo could only barely make out the shadows in the darkness in this increasingly deteriorating situation and could not see Baner clearly.

The two monsters maintained a strange balance at this moment. Lorenzo could not get close to Baner, and Baner could not kill Lorenzo. He took out the last dragon breath bullet and pulled the trigger. A stream of blazing white fire pierced through the darkness.

At this moment, the only thing the warhead could do was illuminate and intimidate. The air was very humid and the flame could not be fully ignited. Lorenzo used the light again to determine Baner's specific location.

They were moving all the time, and just as demons are afraid of light, Baner showed a look of fear after seeing the blazing white fire, screaming continuously and moving his arms harder.

Lorenzo actually felt like laughing. The demon that was instilled with fear would also be afraid. Although it seemed like the instinct of living creatures, it seemed a little funny now.

This is a chase. This underground space is complex and huge. Lorenzo and Baner have been chasing each other for a long time. Apart from knowing that this is underground, Lorenzo is not clear about his exact location.

A strange sound echoed in the enclosed space. Lorenzo caught up with Baner again and launched an attack.

The folding knife chopped fiercely, but this time, with Lorenzo's tremendous strength, it became a rough blunt weapon in Lorenzo's hand instead of a sharp weapon. The folding knife hit like an iron rod and directly broke a slender arm.

The bones were broken but the muscles still connected them. Baner screamed again as blood flowed. More bone blades fell. Lorenzo raised his armor-covered hand and took all the attacks. The impact was so powerful that Lorenzo's arm was slightly numb for a moment.

But he did not stay there and take the beating. While enduring the attack, he moved closer again. This time, Baner did not push him away. Several bone blades attacked him, piercing Lorenzo's armor accurately and restraining Lorenzo like a cage.

This surprised Lorenzo a little. Since the start of the fight, Baner changed his tactics for the first time. Instead of simply escaping, he counterattacked. However, the huge impact soon interrupted Lorenzo's thinking, and the bone blade pushed Lorenzo into the wall.

The stone bricks broke and Lorenzo was completely sunken. If it were an ordinary person, he would have been crushed to pieces, but with the protection of armor and the body of the witcher, Lorenzo only felt a dull pain.

But the sudden change that followed interrupted the attack that Lorenzo had just prepared. Rubble fell heavily, and Lorenzo tried hard to climb out of it. Then the heavy bricks collapsed, completely burying Lorenzo's position.

The melee was still going on. Amid the sharp whistles of the steam, Lorenzo could distinguish the subtle cracking sounds. Only then did he look around vigilantly. Although most of his vision was obscured by the steam, he could still see clearly here.

What Lorenzo just smashed was not the wall, but the load-bearing column. He had no time to think about where he was. Baner came out of the darkness again, like a hunting wolf spider, with open bone blades stabbing down from above. Lorenzo dodged several bone blades by leaning sideways, but several still hit him.
