Ember’s Gun

Chapter 25: Death and madness

Views:

It was like the return of hell, filled with distortion and chaos everywhere. Under the influence of the hallucination, all things seemed to come alive, and countless faces grew out of it, with all kinds of expressions, screaming loudly in pain.

The short figure looked like a tall and thin ghost, and the straight sword became distorted under the illusion, like a white snake coming to life.

This used to be a dueling arena. Gladiators stood in the darkness underground, listening to the cheers from the surface. As the chain of the elevator was tightened, they bathed in the first ray of light in the darkness.

Everything here now is so similar to that time. The two of them are the iron-blooded fighters, and only one person can survive.

Without any warning, the sword came rushing over. The swordsmanship was as incomplete as Sabo himself. One could barely see some of the moves, but it was more like he had stolen some techniques and added his own skills to them.

The sword blades collided with each other, and the crisp sound shook the eardrums. Lorenzo gripped the hilt tightly and then slid the staff sword to the side.

This is a skill called deflection in swordsmanship. At the moment of the sword blade's impact, the inclination of the sword body is changed to achieve the effect of leveraging force, which will change the direction of the opponent's blade force. Of course, the important thing about this skill is not defense, but accumulating strength while defending. The opponent will be slow to return to defense because of the inability to retract the force, and this gap in defense is the fatal eye.

Lorenzo saw the fatal eye, stabbed his sword from his side, raised his staff sword and slashed it with ferocious force, as the blade of a guillotine.

Sabo had no time to defend himself. He twisted his small body hard and drew out his rapier, which then exploded with dazzling sparks.

Leaping back nimbly, Sabo looked at Lorenzo in shock, his arms numbed by the tremendous force. It was hard to imagine that this detective had such great strength.

This attack ended with Lorenzo's victory.

Sabo looked down at his rapier. There was an obvious crack on the blade, which was left by Lorenzo. If his staff sword could be a little heavier and like a normal sword blade, the blow just now would have beheaded both the rapier and Sabo.

"Do pastors also have to learn swordsmanship?"

This is not something a detective would know, let alone a priest.

"In Florence, priests are essentially just a class, just like those Templar Knights. Most of them were priests before they were promoted to knights."

Slowly raise the staff sword with the tip of the sword hanging forward. This is one of the sword postures.

"Courage, strength, skill and... cunning!"

Few people know that these are the four principles of swordsmanship: the courage to swing the sword, the power to break steel, the deadly skills and the insidious cunning. In the final analysis, this is the art of killing, and the so-called glory is just a fig leaf for self-comfort after killing.

He took a sudden step forward and swung his sword down like thunder.

It was a whistling sound that broke through the air, and in the distortion of the illusion it sounded like the wailing of the souls killed by the sword.

Sabo's short figure became tall and thin. He knew very well that he could not block the sword, but while he was thinking, white light slashed down.

Red smoke exploded as the sword fell, and a treacherous dagger attacked in the midst of it.

The staff sword barely blocked the attack, but the rapier was like a snake. After failing to hit Lorenzo, it twisted strangely and then stabbed Lorenzo.
