A world war that engulfs every inch of land, and no one can stay out of it.
A storm was brewing in Lorenzo's mind. He began to realize the changes in the situation, Lawrence's Secret Blood Legion, the reincarnation of the nation builders, the destined doomsday war... All of these were advancing madly, like the wheel of history. He thought he had the ability to stop these, but found that everything was moving forward with it.
Arthur's eyes glazed over, his pupils shrank into points, and he stared straight at the queen. His voice was flat and mechanical.
"What is the reason for the war?"
"This is what I want to explain. After so many years of research by the Purification Agency, have you ever thought about the connection between demons and us?"
The queen asked back, as if she knew everything.
"No, that's not quite accurate. I've also read Mr. Holmes' report and Merlin's feedback. In essence, the 'demon' is just a byproduct. The real threat to human survival is something called 'erosion'."
The Queen went on to add that this was the conclusion reached after experiencing various events and recent interrogation experiments.
"The real disease is the so-called erosion, and the demons are just sick humans. This has always been a civil war between humans."
She raised her head and looked at the only beam of light in the dome.
"We cannot directly observe the existence of light, but we can indirectly realize its existence from the things it illuminates. The same is true for erosion. We can feel the oppression, hear the chirping of the Geiger counter, and the changes of the demons. These are all evidence of the existence of erosion from a side view, but we have never directly discovered it."
As the queen spoke, she looked at Lorenzo again. She seemed to know something, and her lifeless eyes made Lorenzo feel uneasy.
Although he was reluctant to admit it, at a certain moment, Lorenzo seemed to realize the source of the demon, or the source of the erosion.
Power Gabriel.
After being [Sublimated], Lorenzo's empty will itself became a source of erosion, just like light, invisible and intangible, but able to detonate amazing power from nothingness.
In fact, it is not appropriate to use Lorenzo himself as an example. He himself is not a completely non-existent existence. Lorenzo still has a physical basis. Just as Watson said, Lorenzo is an incomplete [sublimation] rather than a failed [sublimation].
Each power corresponds to a characteristic of the demon, and the power of Gabriel may correspond to those strange angels, silent ones, and shepherds.
Cold sweat soaked Lorenzo's back. Perhaps... Perhaps those strange guys were the source of the erosion, and himself, this power called Power Gabriel, the end of this [sublimation], would it be...

The queen's words interrupted Lorenzo's thoughts. She did not continue with the previous topic, but brought up something else.
