"To round it off, you saved my life, Lorenzo."

Hebode pushed open the door of the tavern and motioned for Lorenzo to follow him in.

"Actually, I didn't think it was a big deal at the time. Later, when I was lying in the hospital, Hong Xun said a lot of nonsense to me."

"Red Falcon?"

Lorenzo was a little confused and walked into the tavern. The interior decoration was quite in line with the Viking style, with round shields and swords and axes hanging on the wall, some ox horn cups scattered on the table, and of course, there was that lingering strange smell.

Lorenzo didn't know what other people thought, but it made him feel like he was back home... However, it was strange that there were not many guests here. Apart from the bartender, Lorenzo and Hebod seemed to be the only guests.

"Yes, Red Falcon. He fell on the ground and was screaming for no reason. He had no fear of escaping death. Think about it, it was the same in Maruri. This guy was flying happily and didn't care about life or death at all."

Hebode randomly picked a table and sat down, his expression becoming somewhat subtle as he recalled the past.

"Vikings are not afraid of death, and we long for the Hall of Valor after death, but it is obvious that for Red Falcon, there is nothing after death. I asked him why he felt this way.

Hong Falcon told me that according to his life course, if nothing unexpected had happened, he would have died many years ago in some dirty corner of downtown. It was the Purge Agency that saved his life and gave him a decent job and a stable place to live.

"Although for the Kestrel, this was a crawl from one fire pit to another not-so-bad fire pit, but at least he survived."

The bartender came over drunkenly and served two large bottles of beer to the two of them. Dense foam was floating on the surface of the beer, and a few ice cubes could be seen suspended in it.

"He told me that every day he lived from then on was a huge gain."

"Making a profit?"

Lorenzo laughed out loud at the words.

Hebode couldn't help laughing, and shook his head helplessly while laughing.

"This guy is a little too optimistic, but think about it, he does have some truth. I should have died in Maruli, but I came back alive, thanks to you." Hebode picked up the wine glass and took a big sip. "Every day I live now is a pleasant surprise for me."

"That sounds pretty good."

Lorenzo was reminded of the past by Hebod's words, but he did not recall too much. He only touched upon that memory slightly and then returned it.

"It seems that everyone has stolen time from the hands of the god of death."

Lorenzo sighed softly and rubbed the wine glass vigorously with his fingers. Under the rough texture, he could distinguish every inch of the cracks.

"How is Red Falcon now? Why didn't he come with you?" asked Hebod.

"We left in a hurry. Hong Jian's injuries had not healed yet. Most importantly, this guy asked for a vacation. When we were heading to Maluri, he was caught halfway through his vacation."

Lorenzo explained, and thinking of Red Falcon's broken face, he added.

"Let him take a break. No matter how optimistic a person is, you can't torture him like this."

"What about you? Don't you need a rest? You just blew up Maruri, and now you're rushing here nonstop. Sometimes I think you're a disaster, Lorenzo."
