Ember’s Gun

Chapter 58: Heavy sacredness

Views:

The sea tides began to roar with the rising wind, they hit the reefs along the coast, and finally broke into pale foam and disappeared into the air.

A lonely lighthouse stands above the roaring sea. Green moss covers the scarred bricks. The light at the highest point burns quietly, emitting an eerie green light.

Heavy rain poured down after a brief thunder, as if gods were crying because they were forgotten. The rapidly flowing water distorted everything in the world, washing the entire world with a bone-chilling chill.

"The Purge Agency has arrived. We need to evacuate now."

Someone was talking in the silence, a neutral voice came from under the bird-beak mask. The mirror surface of the plague doctor's mask reflected a faint green light, giving off a speechless and weird feeling.

"They are carrying heavy firepower, and with Lancelot following behind them, we have no ability to resist."

He looked at the guy at the edge of the platform. The dim green light illuminated his figure. He seemed to be a priest wearing church clothes with a silver cross sewn on the edge of his sleeves.

"You go first, I'll stay here."

The man replied calmly, looking down at the ground.

He didn't care what would happen next. All the man cared about at this moment was the present, the present that haunted him.

"Although we successfully trapped the train, the Towards Dawn is still chasing us in the sky. In order to lead Lancelot to another place, we sacrificed a large part of it, but in the end we only delayed it for half a minute."

"We can last long, right?" he asked suddenly.

"What do you mean, this dark night?"

The man nodded. He knew very well what could kill demons and what could make demons powerful.

"The sunrise has been delayed, and endless clouds and darkness are protecting this place."

The plague doctor's voice carried a hint of uncertainty.

"Are you sure you want to do this?"

The plague doctor was a little skeptical. He thought that leaving the man alone here would only lead to his death.

"Yes, now the Nightmare Illusion has taken control of the train. We have the upper hand. And according to our intelligence, isn't there another demon hunter there?"

There was a hint of nostalgia in the man's eyes as he looked at the wound on his arm. As the secret blood surged, white flames rose in his eyes.

"It must be a demon hunter. Only a demon hunter's spiritual vision can reach such a deep [gap]. That's why I can see him and he can see me."

Like a happy child, his words were filled with madness and joy.

"Plague Doctor, after all these years, I finally meet another demon hunter. I am so full of doubts and joy."

As the demon hunter spoke, the blazing white flames burned violently.

Since six years ago, the man thought he was the only demon hunter, but now there is another one appearing in this desolate world. The feeling is wonderful and indescribable.

"Then I will start preparing to move the sacred coffin."

The plague doctor said nothing more. Although they had not worked together for a long time, he knew very well what kind of person the man was. The action went straight to the formal process. Tonight the sacred coffin must be left with Inglvig.
