Ember’s Gun

Chapter 733: At dawn

Views:

Lorenzo felt something strange. For some reason, he always felt that his consciousness became hazy, and his sense of space and time became blurred. He could clearly touch the things in front of him, see the things in front of him, hear them, and smell them, but Lorenzo felt that there was an inexplicable force squeezing him, trying to drive him away from this world.

He was panting and crawling laboriously in the ruins. His palms were rubbed bloody and his figure was shaky, as if he had lost all his strength.

He looked distraught.

It may be because the Unspeakable was [exiled] that the connection with the secret blood was cut off. He became water without a source, and the forbidden power in his body was gradually declining. The obstacles that he could easily overcome in the past also became difficult and dangerous.

Perhaps, this is what mortals should be like.

Lorenzo leaned aside and tried to rest. His own healing ability was weakening and he felt unbearable pain all over his body. He was like a torn doll with cotton wool exposed through the damaged scars.

Fortunately, Lorenzo could no longer cry. He just looked numb as he stared at the light falling through the gap above his head.

It seems that I have never been a strong person, the only thing that is strong is my secret blood. Now that the connection is broken, this solid shell is also peeled off, revealing my cowardly self.

Sometimes Lorenzo wanted to stay here forever, to interrupt and escape his thoughts, but his body moved involuntarily, continuing to crawl among the ruins, trying to escape from this terrible place.

He must live, live no matter what, and live happily.

Although Lorenzo didn't want this to happen, he carried the expectations of his friends, which was both a blessing and a curse.

“How cruel.”

Lorenzo muttered to himself as he crawled out of the ruins of the Stasis Temple and found himself in another, even larger ruin.

The twisted and hateful flesh and blood will now turn into gray and white dead branches, like weathered sculptures, raising gusts of gritty dust as the breeze blows.

With one step, these dried remains can be broken into fine powder, which rises like white smoke, just like the soul rising into the dome after the body is broken.

The Temple of Stasis was buried in the darkness underground, and the Cathedral of St. Naro was destroyed. Its former glory was gone, and only dilapidated ruins remained. There were still some sparks burning, but they looked almost extinguished.

Lorenzo looked into the distance, which was shrouded in a psychedelic fog. Fortunately, Lorenzo no longer heard the roar of demons, nor any shouts of fighting.

It seemed that at the moment when [Echo of the End] was released, the fate of darkness was completely ended, everything was judged, and a new dawn was just around the corner.

"Ah... is it over?"

Seeing everything in front of him, Lorenzo felt that everything was over and felt lost.

Looking around the Cathedral of St. Naro, faint sounds of collapse could be heard from time to time, and along with it the sacred faith collapsed.

Lorenzo had thought about this: with the advancement of modern technology, it is only a matter of time before ignorant beliefs are abandoned by the new era. It is only a matter of time and how they are abandoned.
