Ember’s Gun

Chapter 74: Boiling blood

The pitch-black object suppressed the blazing white flames. The demons retreated in fear, hiding not far away and watching the battle like jackals.

The high temperature could not shake it at all. The deadly black sword was so eye-catching in the blazing white flames that it pierced Ed completely.

"So... were you teasing me before?"

This was the force that turned the tide of the battle. With the awakening of Lorenzo's secret blood, Ed was left without the ability to resist.

"No, I just think it's unnecessary, because if the secret blood awakens to a high level, it will be discovered by the Evangelical Church. As you said, Secret Order No. 13 has been executed. The Templar Knights will never stop until all the secret blood is recovered."

Lorenzo just felt it was troublesome. He had hidden a lot in Old Dunling, and no one had discovered him in six years. It could even be said that no one was qualified to awaken his secret blood to such an extent.

The Demon Hunting Cult is dead, but the Gospel Church still exists. In the name of faith, they have gathered an armed force called the Templar Knights, and all believers will become their lackeys. The secret blood is a precious treasure, and the Gospel Church will not allow it to be lost.

"So what does it mean now? I finally made you look at it straight?"

Ed gripped the sharp black sword tightly, and the rising heat tried to melt it.

Lorenzo's face was completely hidden under the visor, and only the blazing fireworks poured out from the gap, swaying slightly and leaving a white trail.

"That's not the case. It's just that there is something more worthwhile waiting for me to do, so I don't have time to chat with you here."

He gripped the black sword tightly with his backhand and pulled it out again, and burning blood splashed. The next moment, Ed also raised the mottled nail sword and slashed down fiercely with fireworks.

The sound of metal breaking and splashing of chaotic sparks.

Ed was like a burning beast, slashing wildly with his sword. On the burning surface, more metal began to precipitate out, like raised spikes. The blazing white and the pitch black collided with each other, and then staggered into the tangled flesh and blood.

All I could hear was that sharp warning sound, a cold, neutral voice, like a machine.

It was the Silver Bound Bolt, that damn thing was screaming in his ear. This was a technology from the cult. Witchers were the hunting hounds, but every hound needed its own collar.

Ed has broken through the critical value. The secret blood is multiplying wildly in his body, constantly spreading, filling his body with power and ominousness.

After repeated slashing, Ed could even see Lorenzo's condition clearly. Now the only thing in his mind was slashing. Every sound of metal collision made him happy. He hit Lorenzo. As long as he kept going like this, no matter how hard the armor was, it would be broken under his attack.

He was so happy, not only because Lorenzo finally showed his power, but also because of the source of this power. This was a power that Ed had never seen before. Maybe this thing was related to the Holy Night? He was getting closer and closer to the answer of his nightmare, and he was getting closer and closer...

The sudden pain interrupted Ed's wild thoughts. The swinging sword was like a stuck machine, stuck in mid-air and unable to move.

"So... what is this?"
