To be honest, among the three movies, the first two romantic art films are the simplest, especially the new film with Gu Jiaer's name on it. No matter how she acts, her star path will be much smoother in the future. Once her popularity is increased, her status among domestic stars will rise steadily. After the three-year contract expires, she will definitely be among the ranks of Century Galaxy's quasi-first-line actresses, and it is not completely impossible for her to even become a first-line actress of Century Galaxy.
But stability also means that it is not challenging enough.
Both of these movies are very much like Jiang Se's true performance.
In Gu Jiaer's new drama, the heroine and the hero have a pure love affair. They go through many twists and turns but they are still together in the end, enjoying a happy and perfect marriage.
The other film has roughly the same tone, the only difference may be the director and the future cast.
Although these two movies can make people feel happy after watching them, just like eating ice cream, they will not leave a deep impression on the audience. In fact, once a new movie comes out, it is very likely that the audience's enthusiasm will shift away.
In layman's terms, it looks good but is not a classic.
But "The Devil" is different. Although the character of Zhang Yuqin is not beautiful, the story is far more profound than the previous two scripts, and the challenge is much higher than the previous two scripts.
She twisted a page of paper with her fingertips, her eyes still on the script. Xia Chaoqun took a sip of coffee. She didn't expect that even though she had analyzed the interests with her, Jiang Se still insisted on choosing the script of "Devil".
"Why?"
Xia Chaoqun exhaled and asked:
"The characters in this movie are different from you. You should know that choosing "First Love" or "Love Story" is much more suitable for you than choosing "Devil"."
"I understand!" Jiang Se nodded, raised his head and looked at Xia Chaoqun with a firm expression: "But I still stick to my original choice. The heroines of these two movies are indeed very suitable for my image, but neither of them can be considered a masterpiece."
It will not be able to add glory to her in the future, at most it will be just a stepping stone on her way forward.
"If I only made these movies for fame, these two movies are undoubtedly better, but there is no improvement. I want to challenge myself, so I prefer "Devil". She said seriously:
"Sister Chaoqun, I want to be an actor, not just a glamorous star idol. I think you need more than that. Otherwise, there are many beautiful female stars in Century Galaxy, but you didn't sign them and chose to sign me instead."
Xia Chaoqun raised his eyebrows, licked his lower lip, and was silent for a moment.
"Let's not talk about this for now. As for the specific arrangements, I have to see how you perform in the filming of "Beijing Events"."
She rested her elbows on her thighs, her chin resting on her palms:
"Think about it again."
After Jiang Se took over "Beijing Grand Event", in order to practice "Douku" well, he went to the National Grand Theater to practice for a period of time. There is nothing wrong with hard work, which is why Xia Chaoqun did not reject Jiang Se outright.
She put away the remaining two scripts and glanced at Jiang Se:
"Angie, take the two scripts away later. You can also read the three scripts carefully before making a decision."
This was Xia Chaoqun's way of seeing off the guest. She stood up:
"I have something else to do later."
Jiang Se also stood up tactfully, "Then I'll take my leave first."
Xia Chaoqun hummed softly, took a sip of coffee, and watched the two people enter the elevator. After a long while, Xia Chaoqun raised the corner of his mouth and turned to go upstairs.
After Jiang Se got in the car, Mo Anqi drove while looking at Jiang Se in the back seat through the rearview mirror, a little curious:
"Sese, I think what Sister Xia said makes sense. Taking on two more movies right now will help increase your popularity and will also be easier for the audience to accept."
But she chose a more difficult path. She was still young and might not be able to act out the vicissitudes of a middle-aged woman, and the madness and resentment of losing her daughter in the later period.
When Jiang Se was flipping through the script earlier, Mo Anqi also took a few glances at it and probably understood a little bit of the plot.
"A road that is easy to walk on may not necessarily be the one I like. Mr. Lu Xun once said that in fact, there is no road on the ground, but when more people walk on it, it becomes a road."
Mo Anqi studied in Japan in her early years. After graduation, she knew all the celebrities at home and abroad and was adept at dealing with the media. However, she could not remember anything about what "Mr. Lu Xun" had said.
She shrugged her shoulders, thinking that Jiang Se was a really weird person, but she couldn't tell what was weird about him, so she had to keep quiet.
"Besides, do you think that if Sister Chaoqun really didn't want me to take on this film "Devil", she would take it out and put it together with the two art films?" Jiang Se smiled and asked. Mo Anqi was stunned for a moment and turned to look at Jiang Se. She seemed unaware of what she had just said and reminded Mo Anqi:
"Watch the road carefully."
On the way, she received a call from Pei Yi, who said he was coming to pick her up. Mo Anqi had also met Pei Yi, and knew that this young man from a wealthy family regarded Jiang Se as if she were the apple of his eye. He often called her, wishing he could stare at her all the time and protect her in his arms, as if she were his sweetheart. He looked at others with a distant and indifferent look, as if he was afraid that others would not serve this baby as attentively as he did. This was very rare among the princes of wealthy families.
Pei Yi's car had long been waiting on the road that Mo Anqi had to pass. It was nearly eight o'clock now, and it started to drizzle outside. Pei Yi brought a thick shawl and wrapped it around Jiang Se's neck. She got out of the car and leaned against the window to say goodbye to Mo Anqi. Pei Yi raised his hand to block her head, reluctant to let the drizzle fall on her head. Seeing this, Mo Anqi in the car couldn't help laughing.
"You go back first."
"I understand. Just go back with your boyfriend. Don't worry about me."
Pei Yi held one of Jiang Se's hands in his palm. Jiang Se nodded quickly, turned around and fell into Pei Yi's arms, wrapped in his open clothes.
This scene of a handsome man and a beautiful woman hugging each other is really pleasing to the eyes. Mo Anqi grabbed the steering wheel and started the engine:
"Isn't it nice to act in an idol movie?"
Jiang Se stood on tiptoe and kissed Pei Yi's chin. He lowered his head and kissed her several times in return, then asked:
"What is that? It hurts me."
She was holding several bags of folders in her arms, which he had seen earlier.
"Choose one of the several scripts Sister Chaoqun asked me to read."
Pei Yi didn't say anything, but felt a little depressed when he heard that she was interested in taking one of the jobs.
"Aren't you going out to play with Nie Dan and the others? Why did you come to pick me up so soon?"
She made an appointment with Xia Chaoqun tonight. Pei Yi and Nie Dan hadn't met for several days, so they decided to go out and play together. Jiang Se thought he would come back later.
"I miss you." (To be continued)
