Chapter 177: Filming

In Jiang Se's makeup photo, the beauty is half-lying on the sofa, with her long hair tied up. She has a lazy and seductive expression, one hand supporting her chin, and the other hand holding a small golden silk fan, with her eyes squinted, as if she is half asleep.

This photo overturns the 'goddess' impression she gave in "The 99th Love Letter". At least in terms of appearance, Jiang Se's makeup photo is indeed good.

In Lin Xiwen's lens, she appears lazy and casual, like a cat, light and charming.

The fitted cheongsam outlines her figure. Although her breasts and thighs are not exposed, her white arms are wrapped around her slender waist. The whiteness of her skin matches the dark green color of the cheongsam. It is simple yet exudes an alluring and mysterious feeling.

Some people online have started asking where the cheongsam Jiang Se is wearing came from, and some fashion social accounts have also reposted this makeup photo of Jiang Se and commented on it.

During the filming of "Beijing Events", Jiang Se's scenes were shot in three other places across the country in addition to being partially shot at the Imperial Capital Film and Television Base.

The scenes at the Imperial Capital Film and Television Base were the final location for reshoots, so the crew decided to go to a mountainous area in the southwest of the Qinling Mountains to shoot first. In early February, Jiang Se said goodbye to Pei Yi who was reluctant to leave, and followed the crew on a plane to the southwest province.

There was almost no time for everyone to get familiar with the environment, and the venue was hastily prepared and set up for the shoot.

The crew filmed the scene where the hero and heroine met for the first time. In the plot, after her family was destroyed, Doukou escaped alone and prepared to go to Beiping to find her fiancé. However, on the way, because of her beauty, she was abducted and forcibly sent to a brothel.

Also traveling with them was "Hongdou" played by Fan Zhiyun in the play. This scene mainly took place in the carriage. In Hou Xiling's script, it was a rainy day when this part was written.

The crew waited for two days. The weather forecast originally predicted rain, but the weather turned out to be gloomy and the rain never came.

With no other options, Lin Xiwen had to change his previous decision and prepare a sprinkler truck, while the thunder and other sounds would be inserted in post-production.

Jiang Se changed into a costume. She was now dressed in standard fleeing attire, wearing baggy pants and a buttoned green top. Dora braided her hair into two braids that hung in front of her chest, and also cut some bangs.

In this scene, Lin Xiwen did not allow her to wear any makeup, and she appeared completely without makeup.

Several extras got on the prop carriage first, crying. The script supervisor shouted:

"Everyone, get set. Take one." As the sound of the board rang out, Jiang Se got into the state.

"I won't go, I won't go, where are you taking me?"

This section mainly shows the character "Doukou" played by Jiang Se being forced into a carriage. She struggled desperately but could not fight against fate.

She had a vague feeling that something bad would happen after getting on the carriage, so she struggled constantly at the beginning.

After the script supervisor shouted "start", Jiang Se suddenly screamed and struggled, and the two extras who were playing the roles of pushing her didn't react.

Lin Xiwen coughed not far away. He was a little surprised at how quickly Jiang Se got into the mood, and also a little pleasantly surprised at Jiang Se's unrestrained performance.

In fact, Lin Xiwen was a little worried that Jiang Se would not perform well in this scene.

She has a subtle temperament and doesn't seem like someone who can let go. Her whole person gives people the impression of being introverted rather than extroverted.

The scene where she listened to opera at the Liyuan Opera House on Tianqiao Street during the audition just happened to suit her introverted temperament.

It was obvious that Jiang Se's acting skills were still a little raw at that time. Afterwards, Hou Xiling mentioned that he was willing to ask Chang Yuhu for guidance. In fact, Lin Xiwen was not without worries in his heart, but at this time Jiang Se really gave him a surprise.

Not to mention that it was just a brief struggle and her acting skills could not be seen, but she was not restrained by her airs. Instead, her whole body was relaxed, which made Lin Xiwen satisfied.

Because he was in a very good mood, Lin Xiwen did not blame the two extras for their mistakes. Instead, he just smiled and asked them to try again.

“Again!”

The script supervisor called out, and everyone stood in their positions. The script supervisor stepped forward and told two extras who had lines to say:

"Later, after Jiang Se finishes his lines, you guys will follow."

The two nodded, the stage manager turned around and gestured, then quickly ran away. After the stage manager's board made a "click" sound, Jiang Se struggled again:

"I won't go, I won't go, where are you taking me?"

The camera slid closer to her along the track. She was not wearing any makeup in the camera, her face looked a little pale, and even her lips seemed to be trembling.

She struggled desperately, and the two extras could hardly control her.

The two of them didn't dare to put in any effort to catch her. In this scene, Jiang Se let go and the extras were completely suppressed by her. After Lin Xiwen shouted "Cut", the two of them were a little at a loss.

"What?"

The script supervisor took one look at Lin Xiwen's face and became furious. He pointed at the two extras and started to curse:

"Do you still want to act? If not, get out of here and stop wasting our time!"

The crew spent a lot of money on this scene. The sprinkler truck was always on standby, and the cost of renting the location was also not small. The time of so many actors and every second of film costs money. The two extras couldn't get into the role for a long time, and if they were delayed any longer, a whole day would be wasted!

The two men bowed and apologized, their faces flushed red. The stage manager cursed and glanced at Jiang Se again:

"Again."

Jiang Se nodded.

Although the temperature in the south in February is not as low as in the capital, the chill is still deep in the bones. Jiang Se's costume is thin and the sprinkler truck is still working. Water falls on her and quickly soaks her clothes.

She didn't put on any makeup for this scene. According to Lin Xiwen's request, she should look as disheveled as possible, so Dora didn't even need to touch up her makeup and could start right away.

Jiang Se glanced at the two extras. They were a little uneasy. They were replaced and seemed to be more restrained. She thought for a moment and said:

"Don't be nervous, try again."

If we continue to delay like this, it will only delay progress.

Her words made the two women nod their heads a little embarrassedly, and Lin Xiwen was already shouting to try again.

Perhaps they were afraid of being replaced, and the previous scolding from the script supervisor put a certain amount of psychological pressure on the two female extras. When the scene was retaken, the performance of the two extras was undoubtedly much better.

Jiang Se recited his own lines and struggled:

"I won't go, I won't go, where are you taking me?"

The two men held her tightly, and Jiang Se was quite strong, so she almost escaped several times.

The two were afraid that they would be scolded by the stage manager if they made another 'NG', so they held her tightly. Even after Jiang Se struggled to break free from the two men's hold, one of them grabbed one of her braids and pulled her back! (To be continued)
