Chapter 308: meet

Views:

Deng Hai was still chattering while Zhang Yuqin was holding Zhu Zhu's belongings. This part was 'NG' twice because Wei Zuo forgot his lines. In addition, his tone of voice was not right. Zhao Rang was also picky about the shadows cast by the lighting technician. It was not until five takes that it was finally passed.

The photographer entered the room. The following plot had already been arranged yesterday and the lighting engineer adjusted the lighting, but due to time constraints, there was some delay.

By the time we were ready to start shooting, it was almost six o'clock.

The setting sun shone through the eaves, stretching Zhang Yuzhu's shadow at the door very long.

"Yuqin, let's get a divorce."

Deng Hai spoke for a long time and finally mentioned the key point:

"Zhuzhu is missing. It hurts both you and me." There was also a photographer outside the house, pointing at Wei Zuo's face. His face looked a little gray under the light:

"Whenever we see each other again, it reminds us of the past. I can't stand it."

He said a lot. A strand of hair fell down from Zhang Yuqin's forehead. Her face had distinct bones and her chin was thin with a thin curve. She didn't hear what Deng Hai said before. Until he mentioned "divorce" in the end, she nodded and responded softly:

"good."

The voice was faint, as if she was short of breath. She lowered her eyes, but her expression was firm and cold.

In the camera, Jiang Se's face showed a sense of decadence and desolation. Although she was still young, it seemed that one could see through the camera that her heart was like stagnant water, difficult to stir up any waves.

She was not only portraying Zhang Yuqin to life, in Zhao Rang's eyes, she was Zhang Yuqin. Her drooped shoulders and tired eyes even when she tried to smile, she brought to life a woman who had suffered a lot from the hardships of life.

Unaware of her daughter's life or death, she was trapped in a nightmare with hatred in her heart. She returned home to look for any trace of her daughter, only to discover that her husband, from whom she had not yet divorced, had already emerged from the haze in just a few months.

The contrast between men and women in this scene is very strong. Zhang Yuqin's deep love for her daughter made her have complicated feelings when she returned to the sad place. She guessed that something might have happened to her daughter, and she instinctively felt that her daughter might never come back in her lifetime.

But her choice was to face it head on despite knowing that there were mountains of swords and seas of fire ahead, and she vowed to find the "devil" who took her daughter away.

On the contrary, Deng Hai was also sad, but his sadness was only on the surface. When facing this unfortunate event, he was much more resolute than Zhang Yuqin.

On the surface, he was still living a steadfast life, not like a zombie, not hysterical, and could even speak to his neighbors.

In the script, after Zhuzhu got into trouble, he was the one who ran to the police all the time to provide clues and report the case.

But compared with Zhang Yuqin facing the harm directly, he was subconsciously avoiding it.

Including after Zhuzhu got into trouble, he changed the door locks immediately. This action was because he subconsciously feared that the incident would happen again, as if doing so would make him feel at ease. He got a new girlfriend and re-tidyed up the house.

It was as if without seeing the old things from the past and everything related to his past life, he could instinctively forget what had happened before.

In just a few shots, the differences and personalities of the couple Zhang Yuqin and Deng Hai were immediately revealed.

The crew is expected to stay here for three days, and during these days Jiang Se will shoot all of Zhang Yuqin's scenes on the set.

After editing in the movie, the scene here may only last for a short ten minutes, but it tortured Jiang Se badly.

She had to brave the scorching sun and search the straw hut that the props team had temporarily built. The scene where Zhang Yuqin went home to look for clues was scheduled in the afternoon, so Jiang Se suffered a lot in the past few days.

Zhao Rang had very strict requirements for this play, so when filming this scene, no body double was prepared for her. Jiang Se had to do all the scenes such as searching the straw hut by herself.

She was wearing many clothes and sweating quickly. Every time she searched through the haystack, the straw cut her hands into small cuts of varying sizes, adding to the authenticity of the film. During the filming, Jiang Se could not show any pain, in order not to affect the character of Zhang Yuqin in the film, who was immersed in searching for the "devil" and ignoring her own feelings.

Although it was planned to take three days to shoot, due to various reasons, this scene was still delayed for five days.

Jiang Se rested for two days before Liu Ye finally flew to Southwest Province to meet with everyone.

Zhao Rang discussed the subsequent plot with Jiang Se and Liu Ye for a while before the crew moved to the next shooting location.

The set has been set up, and the next scene to be filmed is the first meeting between Liu Ye and Jiang Se.

Zhuzhu's body was found. She had been murdered. Her body was dismembered, put into a bag and thrown beside a river where few people went.

The props team prepared everything in advance and packed it in a big bag. Jiang Se and Liu Ye had to prepare for tomorrow's scene in advance, move around and note the camera track points.

A bunch of extras who had been recruited in advance were also among them, and many of them stared at Liu Ye excitedly.

He wore sunglasses and a baseball cap, and held a bottle of mineral water in one hand. Yang Boxi personally took a mini rechargeable fan and blew it at him. Even so, Liu Ye still sweated a lot:

“It’s really hot here.”

While he was speaking, the assistant brought over two bottles of iced mineral water and handed them to Liu Ye and Jiang Se respectively.

Jiang Se took it and thanked her, but Liu Ye found that she did not unscrew the cap of the mineral water bottle, but instead held the cold bottle against her face.

It's not that she isn't thirsty; you can tell from her dry, cracked lips.

Xia Chaoqun stood behind her, as if he didn't see Jiang Se's actions.

This time when Liu Ye met Jiang Se in Southwest Province, he found that she looked more haggard than when she was in the imperial capital. Probably because of the proper sun protection, her skin was not too tanned, but her eyes were bloodshot and her lips were chapped.

Xia Chaoqun has always been strict about the appearance of his artists, but this time he allowed her to look like this without saying a word, which is really rare.

Jiang Se was wearing an ankle-length chiffon skirt with a small camisole top and a silk scarf draped over her arms to cover them tightly. She was wearing a sun hat on her head. The area near the set was relatively empty, with a factory area in the distance and factory buildings visible everywhere.

The crew chose a location next to a river that was about to dry up. In the distance was a stone bridge. The bridge piers were quite old and covered with moss.

The water was dry and yellow with an oily sheen, the pebbles on the ground were all stained yellow by the sewage discharged from the factory, and many flies were buzzing in the hot sun, which made the environment look even more dirty and miserable. (To be continued)
