Su Yan had a dream. In the dream, he saw Qin Su wearing a pure white dress.

She held up her skirt and walked on the green grass. Every few steps she would look back and smile at him, calling his name, asking him to catch up quickly.

He obediently took a few quick steps, and before he could touch the fluttering skirt, she walked away with a smile on her face.

After repeating this several times, he lost his patience and simply stopped.

Her brows suddenly dimmed, filling him with guilt.

Qin Su had been gone for too long, and even rarely appeared in his dreams, being reluctant to give him more time.

Yet in the end he and she were still able to sit side by side on the windy hillside, talking in the breeze.

He has grown into a man in his twenties, while Qin Su is still the beautiful 17-year-old girl in his memory.

They talked about a lot of things, and Qin Su responded to each of the letters that he had burned every year for ten years.

When Cheng Kou was mentioned at last, he saw Qin Su curved her lips and smiled, then nodded with joy.

"That's good."

She opened her arms and hugged him, feeling like a gentle breeze blowing past him.

"Xiao Yan, I think it's time to say goodbye."

He suddenly panicked, but couldn't grab anything.

Qin Su was illusory and gradually slipped away from his fingertips.

"Qin Su, don't go."

Qin Su shook her head. They all knew it was impossible. They had already separated ten years ago. This separation was not as simple as walking on two different roads. They went to two different worlds.

"Xiao Yan, don't forget me." She frowned and looked at him, "But, don't remember me either."

"Your life doesn't need to be tied down by me."

"You have such a bright future, so bright that it makes me jealous."

“So, you must be happy.”

She raised her eyebrows and just looked at him straight, her pure white skirt dancing gracefully.

Su Yan raised the corners of his lips and smiled, just like he did when he was a teenager and had no choice but to compromise with her.

"Qin Su..."

"Well, Xiaoyan, goodbye."

"Um."

Qin Su's figure walked away, he did not chase after her, but stood where he was and raised his hand to scoop up some air, the wind was warm.

It really seems like the feeling Qin Su has given people since she was young.

When Qin Su passed away, he felt that the world was like an icy river, and it was bone-chilling cold wherever he went, but now he has better warmth.

Going to find Cheng Kou was the best decision he had ever made in his life.

When Su Yan opened his eyes, it was almost time to go to work. The sky was bright and it hurt his eyes. His temples hurt so much that he rubbed them while sitting up.

He was still wearing the same clothes he wore yesterday, which were wrinkled and ugly. He took off his loose tie.

Recalling what happened yesterday, he and Qin Shan went to sweep Qin Su's grave, then met with Cheng's father to have a showdown, Rong Yan asked him to drink again, and finally he dreamed of Qin Su in his sleep after a long time.

He had no memory of what happened next.

Su Yan smiled bitterly. Just as Rong Yan wished, he would not go home until he was drunk.

He opened the door and looked around. No one was in the living room. Cheng Kou's door was closed, probably because he hadn't gotten up yet. He remembered that Cheng Kou said he wouldn't be working today, so he quietly returned to the master bedroom.

His body was sticky and uncomfortable, mixed with the smell of alcohol. He didn't have time to think about whether he had caused any trouble for Cheng Kou last night, so he went to the bathroom to take a hot bath.

His body finally felt refreshed. Seeing that he would be late if he didn't leave, he hurriedly changed into clean clothes, grabbed his car keys and went out.

While waiting for the elevator, I met Du Lanshan.

When there was no one around, Su Yan nodded proudly as a greeting, and then never looked at her again.

He could only maintain the most basic courtesy towards this woman, Du Lanshan.

There were only two people in the narrow and enclosed space, Su Yan and Du Lanshan each occupying a corner.

The seventh floor was not high, and the elevator quickly reached the basement floor. Su Yan waited at the door and let Du Lanshan inside go out first.

He obviously hated himself, but he still pretended to be a gentleman.

Du Lanshan laughed sarcastically in her heart, but when she passed by him, she put on a weak and pitiful face and called out to him in a tactful way.

"Su Yan."

If Qin Shan were here, she would probably laugh out loud. She does whatever she wants and hates people pretending.

But the person standing here was Su Yan, so he responded indifferently.

"What's up?"

Du Lanshan was short among girls, and even with her 12cm high stilettos she was still a long way behind Su Yan. She stood in the crack of the door, and it was Su Yan who kept pressing the door-opening button that prevented the door from closing and pinching her.

Du Lanshan took a deep breath, took a step forward, put her hands on Su Yan's shoulders, and stood on tiptoe to try to kiss his slightly cold and thin lips.

Su Yan took a step back quickly, and his hand, which was originally on the button, moved to her shoulder.

The two uncontrolled doors closed mechanically, hitting Du Lanshan's high heels with a dull sound.

Su Yan calmly withdrew his hand, but looked at her fiercely: "Ms. Du, I said I don't like strangers touching me. I'm not kidding. Please respect yourself."

He ignored Du Lanshan and walked around her to get the car, but the person behind him called him again.

"Su Yan, I liked you earlier than Cheng Kou, why can't you take a look at me?"

He stopped, turned around expressionlessly, and said in a cold tone: "Oh, that's your business, what does it have to do with me?"

He had always been very aloof towards irrelevant people, and because of this attitude, few people dared to approach him and talk to him. The remaining people who were brave enough to confess to him were all politely rejected by him.

Although he didn't like it, he would give them enough respect so as not to embarrass them too much or make them a laughing stock.

As for Du Lanshan, Cheng Kou still treated her as a friend, otherwise he really didn't want to have any contact with this person.

He and Cheng Kou missed each other for so many years because of his credulity. And his credulity was due to her lies.

When he was young, he was deceived, and he could take half the responsibility and say that it was his negligence and he was too naive. But now he was shouldering more than just one person's future, so it was reasonable for him not to want to have anything to do with Du Lanshan.

Su Yan drove away in his white BMW without looking back, leaving Du Lanshan standing alone in the dark basement, kicking over the trash can beside her in annoyance.

She grabbed her hair and looked like she wanted to scream out her frustration. If anyone who knew her saw this, they would probably stare at her in disbelief.

There has always been such a person living in her heart, but she has hidden it so well that no one can see it. She is unwilling to show this side of herself to others because of her inferiority complex and fear of being looked down upon.

Du Lanshan calmed down for a moment, called Cheng Kou and asked her if she wanted to have a cup of coffee together.

In fact, Cheng Kou didn't sleep at all. She curled herself up in the room and waited until Su Yan left before she stepped onto the balcony, feeling the cool breeze and gazing at the clouds in the distance.

My depressed mood finally eased a lot.

As soon as her mind was empty, the scenes of last night flashed back to her and she began to worry again.

It’s not that she doesn’t trust Su Yan. It’s just that if she truly likes someone, she can’t fake it.

But she was terrified and had reservations, fearing that she might accidentally become someone's substitute.

This subtle contradiction pulled her and made her subconsciously avoid him.

The name Qin Su was like a stone that broke the tranquility of her heart and created ripples.

Fortunately, Su Yan called her name later, otherwise she wouldn't know how to deal with it.

She felt delighted that she had found happiness, but she never thought that there were hidden worries behind this unreal luck, and the word "Qin Su" was the key to uncovering the truth.

After receiving a call from Du Lanshan, Cheng Kou simply packed up and took a taxi to the coffee shop she mentioned.

The environment inside the store is elegant and filled with green vegetation. Guests sit in groups of three or four and talk in just the right voices, which ensures the guests' comfort without disturbing others.

Du Lanshan arrived before her and sat in a secluded corner with a cup of coffee on the table in front of her. She half-turned her body, as if afraid of being recognized by others, and lowered her head to carefully tap a few times on the screen of her mobile phone, editing a complete sentence.

Cheng Kou sat down opposite her and asked the waiter for a cappuccino.

Du Lanshan got straight to the point and asked, "Cheng Kou, do you know Qin Su?"

Cheng Kou's right hand paused as he was about to pick up the cup, causing the liquid in the coffee cup to shake and some of it to overflow along the wall of the cup.

Du Lanshan noticed her actions and was secretly delighted in her heart, but she showed no sign of it on the surface and continued talking pretending to be unaware.

"Qin Su is Su Yan's childhood sweetheart. She is outstanding in every aspect. The two families have been engaged for a long time and are preparing to strengthen the relationship." She looked concerned, as if she had mentioned Cheng Kou's concerns. "Su Yan has never mentioned these to you, right?"

Upon hearing this, Cheng Kou's face changed slightly. He lowered his head and frowned, hiding the expression in his eyes.

"Cheng Kou, I'm telling you this for your own good. Be careful and don't be fooled."

Cheng Kou stirred the coffee, the spoon moving back and forth in the light brown liquid, just like her thoughts, floating without a fixed place.

She was silent for a long time, and finally raised her eyes to look at Du Lanshan.

After looking at her carefully for a long time, she bit her lip and spoke slowly: "Lanshan, you have changed."
