A good person once said that if you do good things without letting others know, it is not a good deed.
Confucius also taught his disciples that if they did good deeds, they must leave their names behind.
This story of Confucius teaching his disciples took place during the Spring and Autumn Period.
At that time, the State of Lu enacted a law that if the people of Lu saw their compatriots being sold as slaves (mostly prisoners of war) in other countries, the state would give them compensation and rewards as long as they were willing to pay money to redeem them.
This law was implemented for many years, and many people from Lu who had been stranded in other places were able to return to their homeland because of it.
However, Confucius had a disciple named Zigong, who was very rich. After he redeemed the slaves of Lu, he refused the reward given by the state.
Because he felt that it was his duty to share the country's worries, and he didn't need the money anyway.
In theory, doing good things without expecting anything in return is an excellent quality and deserves praise.
However, after learning about this, Confucius not only did not praise Zigong, but instead scolded him for being a heinous person.
Why
Confucius taught Zigong, "Everything in the world is nothing more than righteousness and profit. The law of Lu not only takes into account the righteousness in people's hearts and redeems compatriots in distress, but also takes into account the profit. Afterwards, the state gives rewards so that the person who does good deeds does not suffer any loss. In this way, more and more people will be willing to do good deeds, so this law is a good law. Now that you have done this, you have indeed won a reputation for yourself, but at the same time you have also raised everyone's requirements for righteousness. In the future, those who redeem people and ask the state for rewards may be laughed at, and the people will ask them why they can't share the country's worries like Zigong did? What you did is to oppose righteousness and profit, so it is not a good thing, but a hateful act."
Sure enough, since then, many people have turned a blind eye to their compatriots in distress.
Because they were not as rich as Zigong, if they redeemed the people and went back to ask for compensation from the country, they would be scolded. Therefore, many slaves from Lu could not return to their homeland.
Yang Fan felt that he was comparable to Zigong, having conquered three beauties who were bringing disaster to the country and the people. He did not want to show off his good deeds and great achievements to outsiders.
At worst, he could just take a step back and not get the marriage certificate with the other two and just hold the wedding.
In this way, he is definitely a good citizen who abides by the law.
"Did you sleep well?" After lowering his head and sucking for a while, Yang Fan asked Aunt Thirteen.
"Yeah." Aunt Thirteen felt very happy. She thought that Yang Fan didn't wake up Liu Qianqian on time because he wanted her to sleep a little longer.
What more could one ask for when one has a man who cares about one so much
Now, if Yang Fan asked Aunt Thirteen to go to the back mountain with him to copy and paste what happened before the nap, she would definitely agree happily.
It must feel really good to think about it, as her little sail has a natural critical hit effect.
The end of the sky and the corner of the sea are naturally critical strike areas.
When the two come together, love is wonderful.
"Don't do this in the future. Look at how Qianqian was crying just now." Aunt Thirteen whispered to Yang Fan.
"She cried just because she was depressed after waking up. It had nothing to do with us going to the back mountain to see the scenery." Yang Fan said.
Thirteenth Aunt was as shy as a young girl and hid in Yang Fan's arms: "Look at you!"
"Do you want to watch it now?" Yang Fan asked.
Thirteenth Aunt twisted her body like a fairy, and every move she made exuded charming charm that seemed to be able to bewitch people.
Yang Fan was secretly frightened and felt a little overwhelmed.
But it doesn't matter, he is willing.
Thirteenth Aunt looked up and secretly glanced at Yang Fan, then lowered her head and tapped him on the head.
After playing, she jumped out of bed, ran out of the room quickly and went to wash up.
Yang Fan acted as if nothing had happened. Thirteen now knew almost all of his weaknesses, so he acted with discretion and nothing would happen.
Liu Yueyue and Liu Qianqian haven't yet, so they would accidentally hurt him from time to time.
This is the price a man must pay if he wants to help a girl grow up, and Yang Fan has already prepared himself mentally.
The main city of the mountain city.
After Liu Ma hung up the phone with Yang Fan, she immediately called a fund manager.
This fund once received investment from Liu Ma.
The fund manager and Liu Ma are a pair of very trustworthy friends and business partners.
"Qiao E, in your life, what do you think is the most exciting experience you have had?" Liu Ma asked the fund manager and administrator who is also a strong woman.
The middle-aged woman Qiao E thought for a moment and said, "It should be about the incident ten years ago when one person challenged five male models on a golf course."
Mother Liu was speechless: "At your age now, you should be able to fight more than seven people alone."
"It's not as interesting as it was before." said Qiao E, a middle-aged woman, regretfully.
Liu Ma laughed and scolded, "Don't talk to me about these useless things. I want to ask you, after doing speculative work that is of no use to social progress for a lifetime, do you want to do something useful?"
"Mrs. Liu, I know you have a good family background and have done great things. We ordinary people just want to support our family in Hukou. Whether we can contribute or not depends on you." Qiao E smiled bitterly.
Although she gave examples to refute Liu's mother, she always felt that her arguments were untenable.
In fact, in Qiao E's heart, she also knew that the negative significance of financial speculation to social progress far outweighed its positive significance.
Especially for ordinary people, this kind of financial speculation contributes nothing to social development.
It is little more than a pastime for the rich or those who want to be rich, and is an inherently selfish and self-centered behavior.
Qiao E once cited examples to prove her innocence.
The first one is the story of Ah Huang in the cinema.
Tonight's movie ticket is priced at 30 yuan and starts at 8 o'clock. Mr. Xiaomang suddenly doesn't want to watch it anymore, so he runs to the door of the cinema at 7:30 and shouts, "Is there anyone who wants to watch it?"
Ah Huang came over and said give me 25 at most, no more, in case I can’t sell it.
Mr. Xiaomang said yes and the ticket was sold.
After a while, at 7:55, Xiao Xian passed by the cinema. She really wanted to go see the movie, so she asked if anyone could transfer the ticket.
Ah Huang then came over and said, “I’ll give it to you, but you have to sell it for 35. You come to buy the ticket at this time. Do you still want to get it at the original price?”
Xiao Xian thought about it and took out the money obediently.
It is always difficult for Mr. Xiaomang and Sister Xiaoxian to meet each other. They can only meet Ah Huang who is on guard all year round. Then Mr. Xiaomang accepts the buying price of 25, and Sister Xiaoxian accepts the selling price of 35, and Ah Huang earns the difference of 10 yuan.
However, Xiao Mang and Xiao Xian are both very grateful for Ah Huang's existence. If it weren't for Ah Huang, Xiao Mang's ticket would have been wasted and Xiao Xian would not have been able to watch the movie.
Ah Huangs have solved the "liquidity risk". They are the real-life version of short-term traders, or "scalpers", who make money by taking on the "liquidity risk".
The second example Qiao E gave was the story of the Pu'er tea king's mistress.
Old Man Wang owns a tea garden where he grows Pu'er tea. He has a younger brother named Wang Erye, who lives in Yanjing and runs a Pu'er tea shop.
One year, drinking tea became a fashion, more people bought tea, and more people grew tea.
Old man Wang is rather timid. When he saw his lazy neighbor started to grow tea, he became nervous. What if he sells it cheaper than me? What if the price of Pu'er drops
Mr. Wang Erye is also timid. So many people want to drink tea. What should I do if the purchase price of Pu'er goes up? What should I do if my elder brother asks me for more money
When Old Man Wang and Old Man Wang were both worried, Xiaosan Wang appeared.
Wang Xiaosan thought that the price would peak in August and then fall. In April, he first approached Wang Laohan and said, "Sell me the tea. I will give you the same price as last year, 50 yuan per catty. I guarantee you will not lose money. If the price falls, I will bear the responsibility."
Old man Wang was overjoyed and sold the goods quickly.
In August, the price of Pu'er tea soared. Wang Xiaosan resold the tea for 100 yuan per catty and made a fortune.
At this time, Wang Xiaosan went to find Wang Erye and said, "Look, the price of tea has risen so much, and it will definitely go up in the future. I will sell it at the current price of 100 yuan per catty, and deliver it to your door in half a year. If the price goes up, I will take the responsibility."
Mr. Wang was overjoyed and signed the contract immediately. From then on, he was no longer afraid of price increases and paid the money on the same day.
Half a year later, the price of Pu'er tea fell back to 60 yuan per catty. Wang Xiaosan bought 100 catties and gave them to Erye, making another profit.
Here, Wang Xiaosan is a long-term trader, a "speculator" who makes money by taking on "price risks".
