Chapter 529: All the birds fly high

Views:

Taihu West Mountain.

In the mountain pavilion, looking up at the sky, a group of birds flew high and far away until they disappeared without a trace.

There is a white cloud in the vast sky, but it seems unwilling to stay and slowly drifts farther and farther away.

Sitting leisurely in the mountain pavilion, I feel particularly quiet and peaceful, as if after the noisy sounds of a group of mountain birds and the rolling thick clouds have disappeared.

Aunt Thirteen could not describe this state of mind and appearance, but after reading the poems written by Yang Fan, it was as if all her pent-up emotions were released, and she felt completely refreshed and extremely comfortable.

Liu Qianqian stood behind Yang Fan, entwining a few strands of hair with her fingers and playing with them, her eyes fixed on the paper with a twinkling look.

Poetry belongs to literature, and literature belongs to art.

Art is something that is indispensable even in ancient times when everyone was struggling for hunger. Its status is probably second only to the gods and Buddhas in the hearts of ignorant people.

Gods and Buddhas can bring comfort to people's hearts, and art has a similar effect.

"Yang Fan, you are my God." Liu Qianqian put her hands on Yang Fan's shoulders. She was in a very good mood and massaged him as if no one was around.

"Well, you are also my goddess." Yang Fan put down his pen and put one hand on his shoulder. Under his palm was Liu Qianqian's soft hand, which felt great. "It would be best if you could massage her legs. When climbing a mountain, you use your legs, not your waist or shoulders."

"Hehe, okay." Liu Qianqian squatted down and massaged Yang Fan's legs.

Thirteen didn't care about the young couple being so affectionate in front of her. She was savoring the meaning of the poem.

They give people a sense of endless loneliness. If Thirteen had not lived with Yang Fan all the time, but only seen his calligraphy, he would have felt that he was a banished immortal who fell into the mortal world. He was lonely and no one could truly enter his inner world.

Thirteen remembered what Twelve had told her, that Yang Fan and Twelve were of the same type.

People like them are at the top in certain fields.

The peak will inevitably bring loneliness and solitude.

"Your father said he is very lonely. He feels lonely just as you are next to him." Aunt Thirteen suddenly said to Guoguo.

Guoguo widened her eyes and looked at Yang Fan: "Dad, you have so many of us around you, aren't you happy?"

Yang Fan took his hand off Liu Qianqian's head. Thirteen was indeed a very jealous girl. He said to Guoguo, "Dad is very happy. Sometimes, words can be deceiving."

"What kind of word is so powerful that it can deceive people?" Guoguo asked, being perfectly misled.

Yang Fan pointed at the words on the paper and said, "For example, although these words are written by me, they cannot represent my mood and state of mind. I don't feel lonely now, but full of fulfillment. My heart is filled with Guoguo, your sister Qianqian, and mother. I don't feel lonely at all."

On the paper is a poem by Li Bai.

"When wine enters his heroic stomach, seven parts of it turn into moonlight, and the remaining three parts turn into sword energy. Every word he says is half of the prosperous Tang Dynasty." This was the praise someone gave to Li Bai a thousand years later.

Li Bai, the greatest poet of all time, is heroic and unrestrained, and his talent is unmatched.

Because of him, the Tang Dynasty becomes even more fascinating. He is a legend of that era. His poems are known to everyone, but his love is a flower blooming in the depths of time, beautiful and secret.

"All the birds fly high, and the lone cloud drifts away leisurely.

The only place I never tire of looking at is Jingting Mountain."

Conventional interpretation is that Li Bai's poem gives life to the scenery and personifies Jingting Mountain. The sentence "The only mountain that I never get tired of looking at" vividly describes that Li Bai's soul's final destination is the beautiful mountains and rivers, and that only in nature can he find spiritual comfort and emotional sustenance.

An unconventional interpretation is that what Li Bai "never got tired of looking at" was not Jingting Mountain, but Princess Yuzhen who lived in seclusion in Jingting Mountain. She was the emotional destination that Li Bai was obsessed with.

This interpretation is overly romantic and even far-fetched, but it is undeniable that there was indeed some ambiguous relationship between Li Bai and Princess Yuzhen that was difficult to explain.

Let’s not mention for the moment that Li Bai was appreciated by Emperor Xuanzong of Tang with the strong support of Princess Yuzhen. Let’s just say that even a proud person like Li Bai had never written poems to flatter or curry favor with anyone

It’s true. The person who was flattered and fawned over was none other than Princess Yuzhen.

At that time, Li Bai met Princess Yuzhen for the first time in Zhongnan Mountain under the introduction of his Taoist friend Yuan Danqiu (the Danqiu in "Song of the Wine"), and was struck by her beauty at first sight. He immediately wrote a poem "Yuzhen Immortal Lyrics" for Princess Yuzhen:

"The Jade True Immortal often goes to Taihua Peak.

In the early morning, the celestial drum sounds, and two dragons soar into the sky.

He keeps playing with electricity, and the moving clouds leave no trace.

When will I enter Shaoshi, I will meet the Queen Mother. "

In this poem dedicated to him, Li Bai portrayed Princess Yuzhen as the beautiful and mysterious Lady of the Nine Heavens.

Not long after, Li Bai left, and the first meeting between the two ended in a hurry.

After leaving Princess Yuzhen, Li Bai had been in intermittent contact with her.

Princess Yuzhen probably had some feelings for Li Bai, but this feeling was not love between men and women, but appreciation of Li Bai's talent.

That is why Princess Yuzhen strongly recommended Li Bai to Emperor Xuanzong of Tang later, and why there was the sentence "I look up to the sky and laugh out loud, I am not a weed man", and why there was the later historical scenes of "the emperor stirs the spoon with his hands and the dragon towel wipes the spit", and why there was the supreme honor of "the imperial concubine holds the inkstone and the strong man takes off his boots".

However, Li Bai was ultimately a man of temperament. He was a banished immortal. The officialdom of the Tang Dynasty could not withstand his lofty ambitions and his talent. Only the beautiful mountains and rivers, the desert and the snow-capped mountains were his final resting place.

Therefore, he was finally "given gold and released" in the capital, and he left with a loud laugh towards the sky. The prosperous Tang Dynasty lost an official, but history gained a poet.

Li Bai waved his sleeves, and all his fame, wealth and power were gone. His heart was no longer bound by the world of fame and fortune. He left in a graceful manner, but the voice, appearance and smile of Princess Yuzhen could never be erased from his mind.

After Li Bai left, Princess Yuzhen, despite Emperor Xuanzong's opposition, distributed her property, gave up her title of princess, and went to Xuancheng, AH to practice Taoism.

What was Princess Yuzhen's purpose in doing this

Perhaps because of her experience and temperament, the struggle for imperial power in her early years made her see through the worldly affairs, and she became a nun at a young age.

Perhaps because of love, because when Li Bai's figure no longer appeared in her eyes, wealth and glory were no longer important.

In the time that followed, Princess Yuzhen traveled around the country. Although Li Bai did not travel with her, he visited all the famous mountains and rivers she had visited.

When Princess Yuzhen finally decided to practice in Jingting Mountain in AH, Li Bai chose to settle in Dangtu County at the foot of Jingting Mountain.

The immortal poem "All the birds fly high, only the lonely cloud goes away leisurely. The only mountain that never gets boring to look at is Jingting Mountain" was also written after that.

Was Li Bai looking at the mountain

Maybe not, it’s the people on the mountain.

However, that person and he were ultimately not destined to be together. He was out of reach, and all his feelings turned into poetry:

You are in Xuanzhou County, where the officials are clean and idle.

He often praises the beautiful clouds and moon and invites me to Jingting Mountain.

Five fallen leaves of Dongting Lake, I have not returned from my trip to the three rivers.

Lovesickness cannot be seen, and sighing hurts one's face.

The final outcome of Li Bai and Princess Yuzhen was that they died in the same year. Princess Yuzhen was already in her seventies at that time and was buried in Jingting Mountain after her death.

Li Bai also died in Dangtu County at the foot of Jingting Mountain in the same year.

"Does this pavilion have a name?" Aunt Thirteen walked out of the pavilion and looked up, trying to find the name of the pavilion.

"No, Jingting Mountain is not a place name or a thing name, it's a person Jingting Jingshan." Yang Fan also stood up and walked out of the pavilion.

"The man who climbed up from below seemed to be named Wang Tingshan." Aunt Thirteen thought thoughtfully.

"Coincidence." Yang Fan looked down the mountain.

After saying that, he turned back to the pavilion, put on his backpack, came out again, looked up at the top of the mountain, and said, "Keep climbing, rest at the top, and wait for the sun to set."

Four people, three adults and one child, continued their journey.

Just as they were about to enter the mountain trail from the pavilion, Wang Tingshan and his secretary arrived breathlessly.

"Brother Wang, we have rested enough. You should also take a rest before climbing." Yang Fan reached out and supported Wang Tingshan.

“No… no need!” Wang Tingshan’s face turned pale. He could climb up in one go. The West Mountain was not very high.

Yang Fan looked back at the pavilion where he had just rested, and said to Wang Tingshan: "Brother Wang, I left a notebook in the pavilion. You can take a rest and help me get it back."

"Oh, okay." Having said this, Wang Tingshan didn't dare to insist on climbing the mountain with Yang Fan and his group.

They may like to be with their own people and don't like outsiders.
