Chapter 234: Is gambling a must?

Views:

After a quick shower in the second half of the night, the sky over the Patrick Islands this morning was as clean and refreshing as if it had been washed by water.

Around the island, the sea reflects the sky, and the sky is connected to the sea. Everything is blue, and time seems to have slowed down at this moment.

Compared to the tranquility and beauty outside the island, the center of Patrick's main island is already bustling with people.

"Hurry up, everyone! The finals of the Truth Conference are about to begin! If you walk too slowly, there will be no seats left to watch the game!"

"Yes, yes, we brothers have to hurry up!"

"Speaking of which, the last promotion match really opened my eyes."

"I thought that in the promotion round, Stuart, Charles, and that sea monster Karen Glacier would dominate the whole game, but I never expected that Wu Hui and Lawrence would win in the end."

"Hey, hey, what do you think, in this final, will Wu Hui and Lawrence have the last laugh, or will those three geniuses regain their form and win the championship in one fell swoop?"

"Hmm... It's hard to say. Hey, stop talking and squeeze in, or there will be no good seats left."

Several youthful young magicians in grey robes trotted along with the crowd and rushed to the top of the mountain.

This is a low mountain located in the middle of the main island. It is not high, but there are remains of an altar from ancient times on it. It is also one of the important ancient sites in the Patrick Islands.

This area used to be one of the restricted areas directly under the jurisdiction of the academy, but in the past decade or so, the relevant personnel of the Magic Association have completed the scientific research of this relic and have just recently decided to open it. Therefore, this ancient relic has become the venue for the finals of this Truth Conference and the competitive event.

"Please make way. Please make way."

"Don't push, don't you see there's someone in front of you?"

"Hey, then, what is that altar used for? Is the final going to be held on that altar?"

"It seems so..."

"Ah, ancient magic is worthy of being the origin of modern magic. There is so much knowledge to be discovered. Such a competition is simply beyond our comprehension."

The venue for the finals was the ruins of an altar located on the top of a mountain.

The altar is only two meters high, but its area is as large as seven or eight basketball courts. The altar is circular in shape, and is built of large pieces of almost weathered white rocks. The style is a bit rough, but it is full of a sense of vicissitudes of life that has been washed away by time and integrated with the entire mountain.

Now there are nearly twice as many spectators as in the second promotion match, and they are crowded under this not-too-high altar.

Except for the members of the Magic Association and the Academy who had to be on duty, almost everyone came here. Even the foreign merchants who came from all over the place gathered here today.

If the first two preliminaries and qualifying matches were so crowded with people and merchants that it felt like a festival, then today's event is an unprecedented grand event.

Everyone was eagerly waiting for the start of the final of this Truth Conference with great interest.

Suddenly, someone shouted, "Look, it's President Wood, he's here!"
