Chapter 141: Crookshanks and the new password

The three of them walked out of the auditorium, and there were absolutely no mad swordsmen in the hall.

The figures of Professor Trelawney and Ron had just disappeared around the corner. Professor Trelawney went to the basement, and Ron followed the stairs back to the Gryffindor Tower.

"We'd better hurry up!" Ivan said hurriedly, noticing that the stairs leading to the second floor were changing.

The three of them ran forward in a hurry, but they were still a step too slow. By the time they arrived, the position of the stairs had changed, and the sound of Ron's footsteps gradually faded away. They had to take a slightly longer road, which made the three of them a full five minutes slower.

As soon as he walked into the Gryffindor Tower, Ivan saw a ginger-yellow figure jumping out of the shadows.

It was Crookshanks, with a white piece of paper in its mouth.

Seeing the three of them, Crookshanks approached affectionately, snorting strangely.

Hermione picked it up, looked at the piece of paper in its mouth, and said curiously, "Crookshanks, where did you get this piece of paper? What's written on it?"

Ivan and Harry leaned over curiously, and saw a few letters written crookedly on the paper: Nasty mongrel dog!

"I don't understand, what does that mean?" said Harry strangely.

"This sentence looks very rude, maybe some student's prank!" Hermione frowned and said, "Crookshanks, don't just pick up some messy things in the future, remember?!"

Crookshanks let out a cry, and it curled up into a ball, lying lazily in Hermione's arms.

Ai Wen didn't speak, looking at this dirty little piece of paper, he felt a strange feeling in his heart. Based on what he knew about Crookshanks, this clever little guy was completely different from ordinary cats. It was impossible for him to pick up a useless note for no reason.

Obscene mongrel, is this really just a simple joke

Or, someone deliberately wrote this sentence on a piece of paper and handed it to Crookshanks, hoping that it would convey some kind of message.

The three of them discussed it for a while, and when they reached the hole in the portrait, they found Sir Cadogan with two monks, several former Hogwarts headmasters, and his fat pony drinking wine. He pushed his helm up and toasted them with a jug of mead.

"Good afternoon, young waiters!" said Sir Cadogan vaguely. "Password?"

"Strange body!" said Harry to Sir Cadogan.

"The password is wrong, it's not this!" Sir Cadogan regained his spirits immediately. He pulled his ridiculously large sword out of its sheath, swung it violently, and shouted, "Are you planning to break into the sword?" Into this room behind me?! I won't let you in, let's go to war, you bad dogs!"

"Shut up!" Harry said suspiciously, "How could the password be wrong, it was still the same when I left in the morning."

"It has just been changed, and I have notified you of the new password!"

"But we don't know! Get out of the way, we have to go in urgently."

"Give up, I won't let you in without the correct password." Sir Cadogan shouted, "Draw your sword, you bastards! Meet Sir Cadogan's wrath, I will surely overcome You, or I will die bravely in the charge!"

Harry looked at Sir Cadogan helplessly, he was completely helpless in the face of this crazy guy.

"Maybe he told Professor McGonagall the new password and we should go back..." said Hermione uncertainly.

"Wait a minute, the words on that piece of paper!" A sudden flash of inspiration came to Ivan's mind.

"What?!" Harry turned to look at him and said in surprise.

"The sentence on the piece of paper may be a new password." Ivan said to Sir Cadogan, "Nawful mongrel dog!"

"You too, sir!" Cadogan roared, and the portrait leaned forward reluctantly, slowly opening.

The common room was deserted, and there was no one there.

"It's so stupid, this guy keeps changing those ridiculous passwords!" Harry climbed in first, and said angrily, "He's actually telling a cat the new password now, through a piece of paper, if it doesn't just happen Meeting Crookshanks, we...

"That note couldn't have been written by Sir Cadogan!" said Hermione. "He's a portrait, how can he write?!"

"If it wasn't him, who else would it be?"

"It should be Ron!" Ivan narrowed his eyes and analyzed, "Sir Cadogan just said that he told us the password. There are only four people in Gryffindor. Since the three of us don't know, Then it can only be Ron."

"But why did Ron write the password on the note? It's so strange?!"

Hermione looked worried, she looked around, lowered her voice and whispered, "Ivan, what is that guy going to do?"

"I don't know!" Ivan shook his head, which was indeed too strange.

He didn't understand why Pettigrew Peter did this

Why did he write the new password on a note and hand this note to Crookshanks

No matter how you look at it, for Peter Pettigrew, it doesn't make any sense to do so, and it is even very stupid and dangerous.

In this situation, Sirius Black is looking for him all over Hogwarts, and on Halloween, he even broke into the castle trying to get into the common room, but failed because he didn't have the password. Now, Peter wrote the crucial password on the note and scattered it around, and it was found by Crookshanks; or, he gave the note to Crookshanks on purpose.

This is so odd that Peter Pettigrew could not have been unaware of the relationship between Crookshanks and Sirius Black.

The cat scratched his Animagus form "Striped Mouse" all over the castle for half a year.

He now gave the password to Crookshanks, which meant giving it to Sirius Black.

In other words, Peter wants Blake to come to the castle!

Ivan suddenly had an ominous premonition, what on earth Peter Pettigrew wants to do? ! Since Ron accused Professor Lupine last night, everything has deviated from the original main line and developed in an unknown and unpredictable direction, and all these changes are beyond his grasp.

Ivan tried to think about this matter in the way of Peter Pettigrew: he first controlled Ron and got rid of Professor Lupine, and Dumbledore is not in the castle now because of Professor Lupine. Then, he was taking this opportunity to find a way to introduce Black to the castle.

This is obviously not normal. According to normal thinking, Pettigrew Peter is too late to hide from Black, so how could he deliberately let Black in.

Ivan suddenly had a feeling of horror. It was impossible for Peter to know the plan between himself and Sirius Black. He didn't know that Black was going to the castle tonight. What he was doing now meant he wanted Black to come to the castle, to the Gryffindor common room.

Either he is crazy, or he has a new conspiracy! ! !
