Harry Potter and the Secret Treasures

Chapter 20: Cowardly and humble

Aiwen slept very restlessly all night and had many dreams.

He first dreamed that he was back in Godric's Hollow twelve years ago. On that dark and silent night, he watched Voldemort kill Harry's parents. He wanted to help them, but he couldn't do anything.

Immediately afterwards, he dreamed of Ginny again, the girl fell powerlessly in front of him, her body was as cold as a corpse, and young Voldemort—Tom Riddle stood beside her with a look of sarcasm and complacency, laughing at his little trick , in the face of absolute strength is simply vulnerable.

Ivan pulled out his wand with great effort, but was instantly knocked away by Tom Riddle. The next second, a green light flew towards him, and he sat up suddenly from the bed.

After waking up from the dream, Ivan was drenched in sweat all over his body.

It was just getting bright outside, and he lay down again panting heavily, as if he realized that he was too weak to be Voldemort's opponent at all.

Fortunately he still had time, and even luckier they had Dumbledore on their side, the only wizard Voldemort feared.

Aiwen gradually calmed down, improving his strength needs to be done step by step. It is impossible for him to learn advanced magic as soon as he comes into contact with it, and become comparable to Voldemort and Dumbledore. The most urgent task now is to consider how to defeat the basilisk and deal with that diary.

"The basilisk seems to be afraid of the crowing of the rooster, should I..."

Just when Ivan was thinking wildly, he suddenly heard a rustling sound from the corner of the room, and someone broke in.

"Fluorescence flickering!" Ai Wen suddenly picked up the magic wand beside the bed, looking ahead vigilantly.

It was a brownish-green creature with a dirty pillowcase, a house-elf, cleaning up a room. The light on Aiwen's wand frightened him greatly. He stared at his pitiful big eyes and stood there for three seconds before letting out a suppressed scream and disappearing into the air.

On the four-poster bed next to him, Colin rolled over and continued to sleep.

Ivan couldn't fall asleep anyway, he sighed, and thought of Voldemort again, maybe in Voldemort's eyes, he was as humble as the house elf just now.

This feeling was very bad, and Ivan simply put on his robe and quietly got up from the bed.

Hogwarts was extremely quiet in the early morning. The portraits on both sides of the corridor were sleeping, and no one could be seen. Ivan was walking in the empty castle. For some reason, he suddenly wanted to see the sunrise.

Ivan held his breath and walked straight up the stairs. There was the top of the castle, and he had never been there before.

When he climbed the last step, Aiwen saw a large circular room with elegant arched windows on the wall, decorated with blue and bronze silk around it, and an old bare building directly opposite. A wooden panel with a bronze door knocker in the shape of a questioning eagle.

That was the entrance to the Ravenclaw common room, and Ivan didn't approach it. He walked to the balcony protruding from the window on the left, from which he could see the beautiful scenery outside the castle.

In the next second, Ivan noticed that someone had come here one step ahead of him.

A breeze blew by, and the morning sun slowly rose from the horizon at the edge of the Forbidden Forest. With the golden sun, Ivan saw a beautiful blonde girl sitting on the edge of the balcony. The girl has an indescribable ethereal temperament, like a fairy who has fallen into the mortal world.

"Good morning, Ivan!" Luna turned around and said calmly, as if she had expected him to appear here.

"Good morning, Luna!" Ivan breathed a sigh of relief, walked to her side and sat down, "What are you doing here?"

"I'm writing an article on the hunt for the Crooked Snork for your newspaper."

Aiwen didn't know how to answer. It stands to reason that he should be happy if someone contributed an article, but when he thought of the content "how to find the horned snoring beast", he couldn't be happy at all.

"Inspiration often appears most easily in the morning!" Luna put the parchment aside and stared at Ivan with her foggy protruding eyes, "Are you also here to find inspiration, no, you look Do you seem to have something on your mind?"

"Um, that's right!" Ivan hesitated, and continued, "I just feel that in the face of the cruel reality, human power is too small. Even if I know everything, I can't change anything."

Aiwen spoke vaguely, and he wasn't sure if Luna could understand it.

The two stared at each other for a while, before Luna said in that peculiar trance voice, "Strength is not absolute. Being able to face one's cowardice and humbleness is also a kind of courage, isn't it?"

"Yes!" Ivan nodded, courage is the most important thing.

"However, compared with strength and courage, I believe in wisdom more." Luna said in a singing voice, "Extraordinary ingenuity is the greatest wealth of human beings."

This is the second time Ivan heard Luna say this sentence. He checked it out when he went back yesterday. It was the last sentence of Ms. Rowena Ravenclaw before she died. It has been used for centuries. Later generations sang.

Maybe this is a famous saying, but Ivan didn't know how it would help defeat Voldemort.

"My mother once told me that before embarking on this road of life, the important thing is to choose the right direction, and then no matter how many doubts and opposition voices are filled, we must go on unswervingly and pursue our own. Faith, fearless and difficult, heart to the sun, blooming their own light."

On the towering Hogwarts tower, Luna's voice came over lightly like the clouds beside her, making Ivan feel dazed for a while.

"Direction?!" It wasn't long before he realized it, and asked subconsciously, "Your mother?"

"Yes!" Luna said simply. "She was an excellent witch who liked to do experiments. One day her spell failed and she just died. I was nine years old."

"Sorry, Luna!"

"It's okay, Ivan!" Luna continued in one breath, "I have met her after all, although I still feel uncomfortable sometimes, but I still have my father. What I want to say is that you are not alone, what is there Difficulties can be shared, and we can solve them together.”

"You're right, I'm not alone." Ai Wen nodded if he realized something.

In fact, ever since he knew that he had traveled to the wizarding world of Harry Potter, Ivan had always felt a deep sense of anxiety, always putting himself on the opposite side of Voldemort, ignoring the existence of other people.

Hearing Luna's words, he thought of Harry, Ron, Hermione and everyone. In the original book, Harry relied on everyone's help to finally defeat the mighty Voldemort. Even though it cost a lot, he still won in the end up.

Now that he is here, those tragic things will definitely be avoided.

"Believe your friends, maybe they can't do anything earth-shattering, but they will make up many ordinary, almost negligible but essential details." Luna's voice came over at the right time, "Helga Hech Patch's famous quote, I think he has a good point. I sometimes think that maybe everyone should be assigned to Hufflepuff, he seems to be the smartest of the four founders."

"Thank you, Luna!" Ivan felt much better.

"You're welcome, do you want to go to the Ravenclaw common room with me?" Luna stood up, "We can read "The Quibbler" together, it's a magazine written by my father, maybe it can give you Bring some inspiration."

"Oh, no need, I'm a little hungry, I want to go downstairs to eat some pudding!" Ivan shook his head, although he was very grateful to Luna and was very interested in Ravenclaw's common room, but he didn't want to see it. What "The Quibbler".
