Harry Potter and the Secret Treasures

Chapter 250: Tit for tat

The chairs on the Knight's Bus seemed to be randomly found in different Muggle streets, and several wizards were sitting on them, muttering, looking for a comfortable position.

Someone's shopping bag slipped to the other side of the car because of the heavy parking, and frog eggs, cockroaches and custard were scattered all over the floor.

"We have to sit separately. Today is the first working day after the holiday, and there are a lot of people on the bus." Sirius explained, "Harry, you sit in the empty seat next to me, and the others sit behind me. Percy, take care of it."

"Don't worry, leave it to me!" Percy agreed with a look on his face. He raised the badge of the male student council chairman on his chest, and led Aiwen and the others to the back.

"I've always wanted to sit in this!" said Ron happily, who was looking around and around excitedly in the seat behind Harry.

Ivan and Hermione continued to walk backwards, and they found two empty seats at the back of the car.

No sooner had the two of them sat down than the car started up again, wobbling around the Burrow, twisting and turning.

There was another loud bang, and everyone in the car rushed forward.

Ron flew up from his chair, and the piglet on his lap wrenched itself out of its cage, and flew to the back of the carriage, flapping its wings and landing on Hermione's shoulder. The owl has been particularly fond of clinging to Hermione since she fed it crumbs last night.

Hermione held Ivan tightly with her right hand, and Aiwen grabbed the candle holder beside her, and the two barely fell.

He looked out the window, and they seemed to be speeding down a highway.

"This is outside Birmingham." Stan Parker, the conductor, came over and greeted enthusiastically, "Hello, I went to the shop in Diagon Alley yesterday. I didn't buy a newspaper. There were too many people. By the time it was my turn, the papers were sold out. But it doesn't matter, I tell everyone, I already have Blake's autograph."

Ivan and Hermione each handed Stan eleven Sickles, and he handed them the tickets.

On the Muggle street, the Knight Bus lurched menacingly, passing an inner line of cars, and ramming into the surrounding pavement.

Hermione covered her eyes in fright, and the piglet swung happily on her shoulder.

With a bang, the chairs all slid back, and the Knight Bus jumped from the Birmingham Highway into a quiet country lane, full of twists and turns.

As the car rolled over the curb left and right, hedges jumped out of the way. They drove onto a downtown main road, a viaduct amidst lofty mountains, and then a cold, windy street between tall buildings, each time with a loud bang.

"Can't they drive a little slower?!" Hermione said tremblingly.

"This car has only one speed!" Ivan supported Hermione with one hand, and tightly held the candle holder beside him with the other so that they would not be thrown out.

Compared to the Hogwarts Express, the comfort level of the Knight Bus is simply terrible.

Especially when the car is full of people, the environment in the car is even worse than the time Ivan and Harry and Ron took Mr. Weasley's car to school last year.

"Attention, the next stop is Hogwarts." Stan said happily, staggering over without being affected at all.

In the carriage not far away, there were bursts of vomiting and terrible clacking sounds.

Ai Wen opened the window a small gap, and with the cold fresh air, he saw the Knight bus speeding past a dilapidated small bar.

Xiaodian dodged to avoid being hit.

It was the Pig's Head Pub, and the signboard of the severed pig's head creaked in the cold wind. Not far away was the snow-covered Hogsmeade village, and there was no one on the street.

Pieces of snowflakes hit the large front windows of the car, the Knight Bus accelerated again, and the car finally wobbled to a stop outside the gate of Hogwarts.

"Here we are, kids!" Sirius helped unload everyone's luggage from the car.

Immediately after, Ron was the second to get out of the car.

His complexion was very bad, and he was knocked off the seat six times along the way, and he whispered, "I don't want to sit on this thing again."

Ivan and the others also got out of the car, and everyone waved to Stan.

The Knight Bus restarted and disappeared out of thin air.

Nine people struggled to drag their boxes along the icy driveway to the castle. Although it was cold, everyone was very excited and talked about interesting topics.

After a few seconds, the voice stopped instantly.

In front of the gate of the school wall, Ivan saw Snape in a black robe who came to greet them. He had a cold smirk on his face, his black eyes narrowed, and he looked at the little boy with hatred. Sirius.

Ivan naively thought that after Snape knew the truth about Lily's death and helped them catch Peter Pettigrew, his attitude towards them would improve.

But he found he was wrong, Snape was just as disgusted as before, if not more.

"Welcome, welcome!" he said in that low, sarcastic tone.

"What are you doing here?" Sirius said immediately warily, his hand resting naturally on the wand at his waist.

"I'm here on Dumbledore's order," Snape said disgustedly. "I'm here to meet the new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor. It's a terrible job."

"Where are the other professors?" Harry asked. "Why didn't Hagrid come?"

"Obviously, except for me, the other staff members are unwilling to accept this unpleasant job. They have great opinions on a murderer becoming a professor at the school." Snape said, his voice became more and more sinister, "But this is not surprising, the principal always likes to hire some strange guys"

"Go away!" Sirius yelled, "I don't need you to greet me, and get out of my sight before I can't help but beat you up."

"That's just right, I didn't intend to waste too much time here." The sneer on Snape's face became more obvious, "I'm not like you, I don't have unlimited free time."

Snape turned around, ready to leave.

"Wait!" cried Sirius suddenly, frowning. "I've heard a lot lately about the things you did to Harry at school while I was away. I must Remind you, if you dare to find excuses to bully Harry, I will find you to settle accounts."

"How touching, my dear godfather's concern for his godson." Snape sneered. "You must find that Potter is very similar to his father?"

"Not bad," replied Sirius proudly.

"Then you should know that he's cocky and conceited, and criticism falls on his ears," Snape said tactfully.

"Hmph!" Sirius pulled out his wand, and strode towards Snape.

Snape also showed his wand, and the two struck a pose.

Sirius' face was livid, Snape seemed to be calculating, his eyes flicked back and forth between Sirius' face and the tip of his staff.

"Sirius!" Harry called, but he didn't seem to hear.

"I warned you, Snotlite!" Sirius' face was less than a foot away from Snape's face, "Dumbledore may think you've been transformed, but I don't think so"

"Oh, then why didn't you just tell him?!" Snape murmured. "Are you worried that he won't take a murderer seriously? Hiring a pug to teach at Hogwarts is a shame. The most absurd thing I've ever seen."(.)
