Harry Potter and the Secret Treasures

Chapter 50: Hagrid and Aragog

Late at night, Ivan was the only one left in the common room.

He looked at Tom Riddle's diary in front of him in a daze. What happened today made him realize that this stalemate could not continue. Although there was no more attack, if the secret room incident was not resolved for a day, everyone would continue to be suspicious.

Maybe, I should give this thing to Dumbledore!

The other party must be able to recognize that this is a Horcrux, and know how to deal with it, and then the Chamber of Secrets incident will be over.

Before Ivan could make up his mind, he saw Harry walking out of the bedroom.

"Ivan, why haven't you gone to bed yet?" Harry said in surprise.

"It should be me who asked you, what are you doing out so late?"

"I can't sleep, I'm thinking about Hagrid over and over again in my head, he must be innocent, I'm going to find him to confirm." Harry looked at Ivan with expectant eyes, "You think so too, yes Bar?"

"That's right!" Evan nodded.

"Then let's go!" Harry whispered.

"us?!"

"Yes." Harry grabbed Ivan, "I planned to go alone, but I didn't expect you to find out, let's go together."

Aiwen wanted to cry but had no tears. He knew that he should go back to sleep.

He didn't want to sneak out of the castle in the middle of the night and go to Hagrid's hut to confirm something he already knew, but Harry didn't give him a chance to refuse and pulled him out of the Gryffindor common room.

Before they could climb out of the portrait hole, Hermione was standing behind them, looking at them seriously.

"Hermione!" Harry said in surprise.

"Don't look at me like that, Harry, do you think I'll let you guys go it alone?!" said Hermione, "I said earlier that we had to talk to Hagrid, although I don't believe he did, But he must know something."

"Okay, since everyone is going, let's go quickly." Harry put the invisibility cloak on them.

The interior of the castle at night was extremely gloomy, and the corridors were empty.

It can be seen that Harry wandered around the castle many times in the middle of the night, and he took Ivan and Hermione to avoid Filch and walked out of the castle gate with ease.

The three of them hurried towards the lighted window of Hagrid's apartment, and they took off their invisibility cloaks only when they were outside his door. Seconds after they knocked, Hagrid flung it open, Fang the Hound barking loudly behind him.

"Oh, it's you!" Hagrid glared at them. "What are you three doing here so late?"

"Hagrid, we have something to ask you." Harry walked into the cabin first, hesitantly said, "Can you tell us something about you..."

"What about me?" Hagrid poured a large glass of boiling water for each of them with a large kettle, "Is there anything we can't talk about tomorrow, you should go back to sleep now, and you won't be caught sneaking out of the castle so late."

"But, Hagrid..."

"We want to ask you about an incident that happened in the school when you were studying at Hogwarts, which is related to the Chamber of Secrets." Ivan said it directly.

"The Chamber of Secrets?!" Hagrid's thick hands shook violently, knocking over the teapot.

"Hagrid, you know that someone in the castle was attacked by monsters in the chamber of secrets, and there have been three attacks in a row." Harry said quickly, "After our investigation, we found that the chamber of secrets was opened fifty years ago. ... "

"What exactly do you want to ask?" Hagrid's face turned pale suddenly, and sweat began to profuse on his forehead.

"Fifty years ago, not long after the Chamber of Secrets was opened, you were expelled from school because of a serious accident." Hermione took out the newspaper, "Hagrid, it's not that we don't believe you, but you sure know something ?”

"I don't know anything!" Hagrid yelled at them, seeming a little uneasy, spilling water from the kettle and nearly dousing the fire.

This was so suspicious that Harry and Hermione glanced at each other quietly.

"We need your help, Hagrid!" Harry said in a pleading tone, "the last time the Chamber of Secrets opened, the monster inside killed a student, and if we don't take action, the monster might as well this time. .. ... "

"No, Aragog was wronged. It didn't attack anyone." Hagrid choked out.

"Aragok, who is it?" Harry asked hastily.

"It's an acromantula, a gift from a traveler for my twelfth birthday. I kept it in the cupboard. When the Chamber of Secrets was opened last time, Aragog was very frightened. It kept begging me to let it go, and it said it was an ancient creature that their spiders fear most." Hagrid wiped his tears with a large handkerchief.

"That ancient creature, what is it?"

"I don't know, Aragog never told me the monster's name despite my asking many times, all the way to that horrible monster that killed a Ravenclaw girl in a bathroom, The man who can't even mention the name caught me, and he blamed Aragog for everything."

"People who can't even mention their names?!" Harry stood up pale, "Hagrid, you mean Voldemort?"

The name made Hagrid tremble visibly, as if he had just woken up from his sad memories.

"My God, what did I say to you!" Hagrid said angrily, "This is not something you should know, forget what I just said. Now, you should go back to sleep immediately, don't ask questions, I I won't tell you anything."

They were kicked out by Hagrid, and Harry and Hermione talked quietly as they walked.

"Hagrid just said about Voldemort. Fifty years ago, Voldemort must have opened the Chamber of Secrets, killed Myrtle, and wronged Hagrid." Harry said angrily, "I knew it would be like this, but this Who opened it once, wouldn't it be Voldemort again?!"

Harry suddenly thought of what happened last semester, Voldemort sneaked into the school to steal the Philosopher's Stone, fortunately he stopped him in the end.

"I don't know, Harry!" Hermione shook her head and analyzed with a trembling voice, "Maybe it's the same as last semester, Voldemort sneaked into the school behind someone's head, remember Ron's robbing some time ago?" The soul curse, it must be someone hiding beside us."

"Who could it be, and what is that monster hiding in the Chamber of Secrets?" Harry lowered his head in thought.

"Hagrid just said that it is an ancient creature that spiders are most afraid of. I seem to have seen a similar creature somewhere." Hermione thought for a while, then turned to look at Ivan, and asked, "Ivan, you No clues?"

"Obviously, that terrifying creature hidden in the secret room is a basilisk, which is the deadly enemy of spiders." Ivan told what he knew.

He had decided to hand over the diary to Dumbledore, and it was time to call it a day.

As for the person controlled by Tom Riddle, no matter who he is, as long as he is not affected by the Horcrux, he will slowly return to normal.
