Harry Potter’s Book of Sin

Chapter 505: Draco takes the bus

Views:

After a lot of panic, Draco finally left the mansion. When he stood still on the street, he breathed a sigh of relief, but after a while he secretly fell silent again.

Since when did even going out feel like a big battle? You know, that is his own front door!

Draco suddenly felt that ever since he entered Hogwarts, he had never had a good time.

That Potter boy had been against him from the beginning. He was obviously a star in the wizarding world, but he didn't want to be friends with him, Master Malfoy? Then it was McClane again... Forget it, that guy was untouchable from the beginning, let alone now...

But now, he actually has to be cautious even in his own home, for fear of offending the "distinguished guest" if he is not careful. What does this mean

His Malfoy family is the glory of pure blood, and his ancestors have produced many famous wizards. How could he have imagined that he would be so frustrated now

However, Draco thought about it and finally sighed.

The so-called family misfortunes are often a maturation agent for children. With age and various changes, he has to become more mature. Although he, Draco Malfoy, was still proud of his family and surname, after learning to assess the situation several times, he finally understood that the situation was stronger than the person.

In the beginning, it was Lucius, the father, who asked him to live a low-key life; but now, even though he can no longer see his father all the time, he has finally figured out the need to look up to see people and keep his head down to do things.

After being stunned on the street for a while, Draco took out his wand and waved it towards the street. Not long after, I saw two houses on the opposite side of the street twisting their waists to get out of the way, as if they were alive, and then a purple three-decker bus rushed straight from that road like lightning.

Accompanied by that heart-wrenching "crunch", the bus went from extreme motion to extreme silence, and stopped steadily beside Draco, directly across the middle of the road.

"Wow-"

A young conductor roughly opened the door, leaned against the door, and casually recited the set of lines prescribed by the boss.

"Welcome aboard the Knight Bus. We have opened this emergency bus for witches and wizards in distress. All you need to do is reach out your wand and board the bus, and we will..."

This was Draco's first time riding on this thing. He looked at the two cars casually, but didn't care at all what the conductor said. Before the other party could finish speaking, he wanted to pull away the conductor and get into the car.

But as soon as he stretched out his hand, he immediately retracted it.

Yes, Young Master Malfoy's temper has not changed much, but the cruel reality has taught him to think more about his words and deeds. Even if you really look down on the conductor in your heart, sometimes, there is no need to argue with these people, right

Fortunately, probably because he had recited the lines so many times, the conductor had become quite eloquent. He didn't even pause for a long line of dialogue and finished it in one breath.

"Sir, please get in the car! Where are you going?"

After the other party got out of the way, Draco said "Hogsmeade" while walking up with his suitcase, and then looked curiously into the depths of the carriage.

At this sight, he immediately frowned.

Although this bus is manufactured and operated after a Muggle bus, there are naturally no Muggle-style seats inside. It was daytime now, and there were no beds with brass pillars in the carriage. Instead, there were various chairs arranged in a mess.

Logically speaking, a typical pure-blood family wizard like Draco would not be willing to take the Knight Bus. They have always felt that it was an insult to have something imitating Muggles in the wizarding world, let alone sit on it. Normally, he would travel in his own Yeqi carriage.

But now, he had to rely on this thing to get to Hogsmeade, which really made him feel a little ridiculous. Especially, this carriage looks dirty no matter how dirty it looks!

Of course the conductor didn't know Draco's inner thoughts. When he saw people getting on the bus, he slammed the door shut again. Perhaps because Draco's clothes revealed his distinguished identity, he obviously showed some deliberate flattery.

"Oh, Hogsmeade? Yes! There have been a lot of people going there recently, it's like a trend, um... Mr. Dumbledore's funeral!" The conductor raised his eyebrows, his words full of worldly Breath, "But it's a bit far from here to Hogsmeade. The cost of this car is quite a lot... Hey, you can tell that you come from a big family. This amount of money must be nothing to you, but I'm too talkative..."

"How much?" Draco asked directly without wanting to talk nonsense.

"Two gold Galleons and nine silver Sickles... This has to be driven across the entire UK! It's really a bit far... Really..."

Seeing that the other party was chattering endlessly, Draco took out three Galleons and threw it in front of the other party without saying a word. The conductor had quick eyes and quick hands, and he caught it with both hands.

"No need to look for it!" he said casually.

The Malfoy family may not have anything else but gold and galleons. Their ancestors have been experts at collecting money for generations. The savings from past generations alone are enough for several generations to eat, drink and enjoy themselves, not to mention the large number of family industries that continue to earn them more gold galleons.

Putting aside everything else, the amount of money donated to Hogwarts every year can already make most wizarding families dumbfounded.

"Okay!" The conductor suddenly became more enthusiastic, as if he had met a long-lost relative, "This is really... Come on, please sit here -"

When Draco had just sat down on a back chair that looked barely acceptable, before he could collect himself, he heard the conductor shout cheerfully towards the front of the carriage.

"Earn, let's start!"

Before he finished speaking, the driver Ern suddenly pulled the shift lever, and the whole car immediately shot forward like a wild horse that had escaped the reins. For a while, the car was turned upside down.

Draco felt as if he was being pulled by the back of the chair, sliding backwards uncontrollably, and then collided with other chairs. But before he could react, the bus squeaked and turned to the left again.

"boom!"

Draco was caught off guard for a while, and in the blink of an eye, he and the chair were thrown to the right side of the car, and his face was pressed tightly against the solid window glass.

Fortunately, some magic seemed to have been cast on the carriage of the Knight Bus. This sudden collision did not cause any damage to his handsome face.

"Damn, I'm so curious... I'll never drive this crappy car again! Never!" Draco looked at the beautiful scenery flowing rapidly outside the car window, but he felt regretful in his heart.

This Knight Bus travels extremely fast, with only two gears from beginning to end—the first is forward, and the second is braking. Although it is indeed based on Muggle buses, it is really difficult for these wizards who have rarely set foot in the Muggle world to design cars according to the rules.

But even though the riding experience of this thing is by no means pleasant, it is still welcomed by many middle-class wizards because it is indeed fast and convenient... although it is indeed a bit expensive.

Not long after, when the driver pulled the gear lever again, and the bus's speed suddenly returned to zero, Malfoy threw himself forward.

Soon he heard that the conductor opened the door again, leaned against the door and babbled his lines.

"...How much does it cost to go to Hogsmeade? I...I don't know if it's enough..."

Before the conductor could finish reading the lines, another voice spoke. Draco felt something familiar when he heard it, and while he was concerned, he put aside the anger in his head for the time being, stood up and looked ahead.

"Is it that stupid big guy Longbottom?" He looked past the conductor and immediately recognized who it was.

The little chubby guy before has now turned into a big silly guy. This has to be said to be a wonderful change. To be honest, this cowardly boy with no strings in his head is getting more and more human-looking... although he is still not half as handsome as Draco Malfoy!

"To go to Hogsmeade from here, one gold Galleons plus seven Silver Sickles, no matter what," the conductor said loudly, "Don't look at me like that, this is the price set by our boss, I can do it Can’t reach the Lord!”

"Ah... um... okay... I'll look for it again..."

The two people in front of them were muttering and arguing for a while, before Neville silently moved himself into the car while pouting.

Although the Longbottom family was once a large pure-blood family and had a glorious generation in the past, now the family is entirely supported by grandma. The previous generations of ancestors did not manage the Longbottom family very well. Not to mention making money, they actually lost a lot.

Although I am not very poor now, I still have to use money sparingly.

As soon as he walked into the carriage, Neville saw Draco's figure at a glance. He immediately shrank his feet, but two completely opposite expressions of cowardice and anger appeared on his face.

He still remembered Draco's harsh words when he slandered his parents. This was the thing he hated most in his life.

Draco, on the other hand, just glanced at Neville casually, as if he hadn't seen him at all, pulled up another chair and sat down. This time he was sitting next to the armrest in the carriage, within easy reach - he couldn't make a fool of himself in front of Longbottom later!

When the conductor shouted to the driver again, Draco quickly hugged the pillar next to him, and then looked at Neville with a subtle look on his face as if he was joking.
