He and It

Chapter 143: The Snake of the Pharisee (IX)

Views:

Echidna hissed a few times, and several giant stone snakes instantly moved out from the throne and swam silently outside.

Xie Ning sobbed and sobbed, no longer having the energy to speak or to argue. Echidna shortened his sharp nails and touched the scar on his forehead, then reached out and covered the human's hand, carefully pinching the thin fingers.

There was no intimacy in his actions, just pure curiosity. In his long life, Echidna had never willingly approached a human being, let alone been with them without hurting them.

What's his name and where is he from

Judging from his facial features, he did not look like a resident of Cilicia. Because of the bloodline of Poseidon, the people here were strong and aggressive, and all of them were tall and rough. He also did not look like the people of some southern countries, and his language was a type that no one had ever used.

No matter where he comes from, he is mine, Echidna thought secretly, his will and greedy determination are more unshakable than the towering Caucasus.

He stared at the top of Xie Ning's head and sang proudly in his heart: Mine, mine, mine.

Soon, the stone snakes returned, carrying huge silver plates on their heads, on which lay steaming roast meat, sweet smoked figs, and a delicious curd made of cheese, flour, honey, and sweet wine. Next to the silver plates were golden cups filled with clear, surging wine.

These snakes swayed horizontally towards them, and no waiter could match their swiftness and speed. Xie Ning smelled the aroma of food, and his spirits lifted. His cheeks felt sore and he couldn't help but secrete a lot of saliva.

Echidna stretched out his arms, tore off the hot, greasy roast for him, and placed it on his wrists and palms for him to eat.

Xie Ning was so hungry that his eyes were blurry. He didn't care about so much and just stuffed it into his mouth. The barbecue was too hot and couldn't get close to his lips for the time being, so he first sucked two ripe and soft figs, swallowed a few pieces of milk cake, gulped down the wine, and then turned to the barbecue.

Seeing how ferociously he ate, Echidna was extremely happy. He didn't tell the snake to take away the cups and plates until Xie Ning's belly was so full that he couldn't eat any more.

"Hey," he looked at Xie Ning and asked eagerly, "What's your name and where are you from?"

After drinking the water, Xie Ning finally came back to life. He wiped his mouth with satisfaction, and was no longer starving.

… Hey, why am I sitting in the middle of Echidna's tail

Now that hunger no longer seriously interfered with his mind, Xie Ning breathed a sigh of relief and immediately noticed his strange situation.

He looked at the snake tail moving around him in surprise. The smell of the demon, like the fragrance of rotten flowers, lingered around him. Xie Ning found that his back was pressed against Echidna's skin and the delicate edges of the gold jewelry.

He was immediately horrified by this unusual closeness.

The gap between species is greater than the difference between heaven and earth. As an ordinary human, Xie Ning is like a rabbit sitting on the top of a dragon, and the stress reaction is about to come out.

What just happened? Am I hallucinating

Or have I traveled through time again, this time to a magical timeline where "Xie Ning and Echidna love each other"
