The next day, Jiang Mian put on protective clothing and hurried to the experimental station.

When he rushed in, it was already bustling and busy like a vegetable market. Ted was submerged in it, standing in front of the observation window, recording something at a very fast speed.

"I told you this would take time. Now is not the time to decipher the frequencies—"

"We are on a tight schedule! Synchronization is desirable—"

"Would you like me to remind you again? The sound wave blocking device cannot fully cope with the flexible and changeable communication methods of mermen. It is still-"

Jiang Mian sneaked around the crowd who were arguing fiercely and came to Ted.

"What are they arguing about?"

Ted was startled, but when he saw it was him, he breathed a sigh of relief: "Hey, you little creeper, don't come so quietly next time!"

Immediately, he lowered his voice and explained to Jiang Mian: "In order to crack the mermaid's language system, some people insisted on not giving the experimental subjects a silencer, so... some people began to worry about their own safety."

Jiang Mian looked down with a mixture of worry and curiosity. Lapers stood quietly in the water, seemingly ignoring gravity. Even the alloy chains weighing more than a thousand pounds on his body seemed to have no weight, and looked swaying and floating.

Jiang Mian couldn't help but feel a deep awe for this amazing power.

"The mermaids won't use sound waves to shatter their internal organs," he smiled helplessly, his expression gentle and soft. "The outer wall of the observation room is sandwiched with nearly half a meter thick polyurethane glass wool, not to mention the vacuum protection belt. If this can't dispel their doubts, then I really don't know what can."

Ted glanced back, his lips still, and murmured, "This is not a question of whether to mute or not. When you have the ability to live longer, I'm afraid only God knows how much you fear death."

"Ladies and gentlemen, please be quiet." Fabian finally spoke, "This moment is indeed rare. I know you are all very excited. Seeing the creatures below, I can't suppress the excitement in my heart. But!"

He emphasized his tone: "Please let us unite as one. Isn't this the nobility of mankind? Now, tell me, is there any gentleman or lady who is willing to stand in front of the glass window of the observation room and have a historic meeting with our guests who have come from afar in the deep sea?"

Ted coughed uncomfortably, his hands hanging down, and he quickly wrote a line of scribbled words on the blank space of the notebook. Jiang Mian lowered his eyes and glanced at it, and couldn't help but curl up the corners of his mouth.

Ted: "What a cunning guy. He doesn't dare to be the first one to try something new."

However, while laughing, Jiang Mian couldn't help but feel puzzled. Fabian was indeed a bad guy, but he was also a bold bad guy. In the ocean, the home of the mermaids, he dared to deploy a plan to capture Lapers. Why couldn't he set an example in the research institute with multiple insurances and airtight defenses

In a moment of distraction, Jiang Mian and Ted's small movements seemed to have been spotted by the Germans with sharp eyes like hawks. Across the crowd, Fabian smiled and called Jiang Mian's name: "How about it, Jiang? You took the initiative to ask to work with me. Not only does your courage leave a deep impression on me, but your professionalism in the field of mermaid breeding is also amazing. Are you willing?"
