Shen Luo widened his eyes, as if a cold snake was crawling up his back.
Those little hands were swollen and rotten, and pale in color, looking like a floating corpse that had been soaked in water for a long time. However, they were covered with long and thin black nails, some of which even penetrated into his flesh through his clothes.
Shen Luo opened his mouth to scream, but his mouth was wide open but no sound came out. He was filled with fear.
But then he discovered something strange.
He didn't feel any pain at all!
"Don't panic when things happen, don't panic when things happen..."
Shen Luo felt a little relieved and forced himself to calm down.
He tried to practice an unknown technique, trying to mobilize the magic power in his body to see if he could force back these pale ghost hands.
However, as soon as the magic power in his dantian moved slightly, he immediately felt a chill on the back of his neck. An extremely powerful and cold aura emanated from it, causing the hairs all over his body to stand up.
“It’s a jade pillow!”
Shen Luo immediately noticed the changes behind his neck.
Before he could make any further move, a powerful devouring force suddenly came from the jade pillow behind his neck. He felt that the blood and energy in his body suddenly boiled and turned into wisps of white steam and were sucked out.
His eyes were wide open, but he could only watch his chest collapse bit by bit. His hands that were exposed dried up quickly and became like ghost claws, with life gradually fading away.
Shen Luo's mind was in a mess, filled with fear, doubt, and unwillingness... All kinds of emotions mixed together. He used up his last bit of strength and shouted wildly, "No..."
The next moment, his body suddenly sat up from the bed, his chest heaving violently and breathing heavily.
In a panic, he quickly looked at the mattress under him, but all he saw was a circle of water stains soaked with sweat. Where was the pale ghost hand as small as a child's
Then, he looked at his palms and backs of his hands over and over again. They were all intact, with no signs of having the blood sucked out and turned into dried ghost claws.
"Is this really a nightmare?"
Shen Luo looked around in a daze, only to find that all the doors and windows were closed, and there was nothing unusual in the furnishings in the room. Even the pillow under his head was the rattan pillow he usually used, and the jade pillow was quietly placed aside.
He raised his hand to wipe the cold sweat from his forehead, and all his sleepiness disappeared in an instant. He got up, lit a lamp, changed into clean clothes, and sat down at the table.
The dim moonlight can still be seen outside the window, and it seems to be the second half of the night.
Shen Luo recalled the scene in his nightmare and still felt a little frightened. He took out a ghost-exorcising talisman as if possessed by a ghost, stuck it on himself, and transferred a trace of magic power into it.
As the light on the talisman paper lit up, his eyes became blurry again. He looked around and carefully checked every corner of the room.
However, as soon as his gaze turned, his brows suddenly twitched.
There really is something strange in the room!
When he turned his gaze back, he saw a series of slender shadows hanging down in the void from the roof to the head of his bed, flickering vaguely and extremely blurry.
If he hadn't been so nervous and overly focused at the moment, he wouldn't have noticed it at all.
