Chapter 2: Founding, meeting (1)

The story takes place in Yilushen City.

This place is exactly the same as Hong Kong, Taipei, Shanghai, Tokyo, and even New York, Vancouver, Zurich, and Amsterdam. They are all just cities in a peaceful and prosperous era. Technology is changing with each passing day, and life keeps pace with the times. The city is crowded with merchants, and there are countless beautiful women and outstanding young talents. The rich all live in villas like Billyhua - Hong Kong has Victoria Peak and Taiwan has Yangmingshan - the city itself is like a fairy tale. No matter how many twists and turns it goes, it will eventually be artificially replicated in a fixed pattern.

Even a prosperous and beautiful city like Yilushen is no exception.

Early on Monday morning, Chi Bika, the human resources manager of Qianyu Organization, received a call.

As soon as she heard the other person's voice, her expression immediately became respectful.

After responding for a few words, the respectful look on her face disappeared after the call was hung up, and was replaced by hesitation and embarrassment.

While I was deep in thought, Liu Danran from the secretary department called me on the internal line.

"Bikka, when will Yang Ying take up his post?"

"I was just about to talk to you about this. Yang Ying can only work until this Friday at the latest. She has to report to Ouyang at the New York branch next Monday."

"I plan to recommend Du Xintong from the Technology Department and Zhang Duanyan from the Planning Department as her successors. What do you think?"

"These two senior secretaries are both excellent choices." Chi Bika pondered for a moment, "What about Wen Nuan from the business department? How is she?"

"Wen Nuan is also excellent. She has a calm personality, is smart and flexible in her work, and has first-class professional qualities. I originally wanted to recommend her, but the company has a rule that the person must have served in Qianyu for more than three years to take this position. She has only been here for two years and has little experience. If I let her take the position, I'm afraid others will have something to say."

Chi Bika smiled and said, "Danran, you and I both know that Qianyu's greatest strength is to appoint people based on their talents. Back then, Yang Ying was also promoted out of turn. It turns out that President Zhan is very satisfied with her. Otherwise, she wouldn't have been promoted to the next level and transferred to New York to be the deputy manager in just two years."

With such work experience, Liu Danran was naturally a man of insight. When he heard what Chi Bika said, he responded, "You are right. President Zhan is not too particular about these red tapes. How about this, I will recommend all three of them to you, and you can compare them."

"Okay, I'll talk to them all. To be honest, I can't make the decision on such a big matter. I still have to report it to President Zhan, and he will make the choice."

After hanging up the phone, Chi Bika breathed a sigh of relief.

In about the time it took to drink a cup of tea, the announcement on Qianyu's internal network was sent to every employee's mailbox. The secretariat decided to recommend Du Xintong, Zhang Duanyan and Wen Nuan as candidates for the president's secretary. Wen Nuan, who had the least experience among the three, was selected as an exception, which more or less caused some discussion in the tea room.

Chi Bika called for the past performance reviews of the three people, and after reading them one by one, she made an appointment to meet with Du Xintong and Zhang Duanyan.

Finally it comes to warmth.

This was the second time Chi Bika had looked through her resume. The first time was when she was recruited two years ago.

The records on her resume are much simpler than those of the previous two. She went to the UK at the age of fifteen and stayed there for seven years. She only came back as an exchange student when she was twenty-two years old and in her senior year of university. After graduating the following year, she was admitted to Qianyu's secretarial department. Due to her outstanding performance, she was promoted to senior assistant manager of the business department a year ago.
