Wen Nuan sat cross-legged on the stone steps, with two question marks in her mind that were tangled like silk.

His alert look seemed to say that he didn't want to see her and his mother together, but why did he deliberately hug her and act towards his mother with a little bit of intimacy? These two actions were so contradictory that they could not be explained.

Lowering her head and scooping up the pool water with her fingers, she drew a soft arc on the black marble, and then another.

The sun gradually sets through the gaps between the tall buildings, and a streak of purple clouds appears in the sky.

The dusk gradually faded, and then the lights came on.

The marble was already wet, and there was no dry spot in front of her. People seemed to be coming and going all around her, but she didn't pay much attention to it. She just kept scooping up water from the pool and drawing invisible eye shapes on the wet stone surface in arcs based on her feeling.

"You dressed up like this just to draw talismans here?" someone suddenly sneered.

She quickly turned her head to the side, her head, which had been hanging for too long, suddenly felt dizzy. She felt her waist and legs go limp, and her whole body lost balance and fell into the pool. The moment her head and face were completely submerged in the water, she truly witnessed Zhan Nanxian's ruthlessness.

He only needed to reach out and hold her shoulder lightly, and she would be fine. But no, he did not save her. The extremely beautiful starlight flashed a cold light that had nothing to do with him. He just stood there with an indifferent expression, watching her fall down in front of him with almost malicious intent.

When she climbed out of the pool in a miserable state, her whole body was soaked, attracting the attention of passers-by.

A minute later she finally gave up looking for her slippers which had fallen somewhere, and walked barefoot to the road, waving to stop a taxi. She didn't know where she was going, she didn't have the key to her house, and she didn't even have money to pay for the fare, but she could think about these problems after she got into the taxi.

Finally, an empty car drove up in front of her. She opened the door, but the next moment someone drove in. The driver cursed at her and drove away.

She was silent, and drops of water dripped onto the road along her wet long hair and underwear.

Soon, another car stopped. She turned around and said calmly, "Let me go."

Zhan Nanxian raised the corner of his lips, "I'm curious about where you can go like this."

The reason he came back was just to see her in such a predicament of having nowhere to go? Wen Nuan smiled faintly. This city was so big, even if she had to go back to the building management office of her apartment and borrow the doorman's room for a night, there should be a place in the world where she could stay.

She reached out to open the car door, and was about to thank him for not slamming it shut, but he had already followed her in.

"When will you change your arrogance?" He asked coldly in the narrow space. Is that it? Would you rather live on the street than ask him for help

"What about your standards? When will they become clearer?"

"What do you mean?"

"You blamed me for not telling you about Guo Ruqian and Du Xintong, but I did tell you about that generation..." What was the result? He almost punched a big hole in her heart.

Zhan Nanxian sneered, "I don't know whether to say you are naive or stupid. How can you be sure that Zhu Linlu wants you to be his spokesperson?"
