The elevator went down to the first floor and felt a vibration. Zhan Nanxian took out his cell phone from his pocket.
The red dot in the lower left corner was blinking, indicating that there was a new message. He touched it to open it and walked towards the car while receiving the satellite message. When he was halfway through receiving the message, the phone issued an alarm of low power. He frowned slightly and felt his pocket, only to find that he didn't bring any spare batteries.
"What's wrong? Is it an important message?" Bo Yixin asked.
Zhan Nanxian smiled faintly, "Nothing, just some pictures." He put the phone, which had beeped and automatically turned off, back into his pocket and sat in the driver's seat, "What do you want for dinner?"
"I've been vomiting a lot lately and have no appetite. I'd better go home and ask my third sister to make some porridge."
"The club has a first-class vegetarian chef. How about I go with you to try it—" The royal blue sports car that shot more than ten meters away in three seconds like an arrow suddenly stopped. Zhan Nanxian apologized to Bo Yixin who was startled in the seat belt, "I'm sorry."
His eyes were fixed on the silhouette of a car hidden in the shade of trees at the end of the road in the rearview mirror.
"What's wrong?" Bo Yixin asked in surprise.
He didn't answer, but backed the car back until he could clearly see the license plate in the rearview mirror, making sure he was not mistaken, it was Wen Nuan's car.
Why is she here
He immediately pushed the door open and got out of the car. He looked around but couldn't see her. After thinking for a while, he lowered his head and said to Bo Yixin, "Wait for me."
He walked back to the building in two steps and took the elevator up.
I habitually wanted to take out my cell phone, but when I put my hand in my pocket I realized that it was out of battery.
When he reached the sixteenth floor, the corridor was empty. He stood at the door of his house, concentrating for a moment, then took out his key, opened the door and went in. He walked slowly from the living room to every room, his focused eyes not missing any corner.
Everything was in its place, with no sign that anyone had ever been there.
His eyes dimmed, and he sat quietly for a while on the edge of the bed in his former room before getting up and leaving.
He locked the door, walked over and pressed the elevator button, inadvertently turning his head, his eyes stopped on the tightly closed door at the entrance of the stairs. Something flashed through his mind, and he subconsciously raised his leg and walked over. He raised his hand, and the moment his palm touched the door, for some reason he felt an indescribable slight panic in his heart. This panic spread quickly from his brain to his arms, and he subconsciously clenched his palms, and then relaxed before opening them again.
He pushed the door open gently; the staircase was empty. He pushed it again, and all fifteen steps, including the upper and lower corners, were visible; still empty.
He let out a sigh, unable to tell whether he felt relieved of his worries or slightly disappointed. He retracted his arm, and the automatically closed door quickly closed in front of him. He turned around - suddenly he used his elbow to block the door that was already closed to a line and then pushed it open with force.
On the ground next to the escalator at the corner of the stairs, there lay an inconspicuous bunch of dark copper keys.
He picked it up, looked upstairs, then downstairs, the panic he had felt in the silence surged into his heart again, his thin lips pursed, he opened the door and rushed to the elevator, pressing the down button that was clearly lit red.
Outside the arcade on the first floor, Bo Yixin, who was sitting in the car, quietly watched his figure rushing out from inside. Her face changed slightly when her eyes swept across the empty parking space not far behind her. This man with unpredictable emotions and a heart as hard as a rock, from the time she knew him until now, a full ten years, his heart has only moved for one person from beginning to end.
