In the past, Master Mengxin’s greatest pleasure was to go to Zen and drink every day, or go to the flower shop to condolences to those poor women, so that they could feel the vastness of Buddhism, but when he got older, he was only left to go to Zen and drink, and after Mifang died, He also drank less alcohol.
"Master! Bitter medicine is harmful to your health."
"Prajna Decoction is a poison that penetrates the intestines."
"Master, what should I do with retreat?"
"Master, do you have the heart to lead me badly?"
"Master! The smell of alcohol on you is really stinky."
Even though a lot of housework was arranged, under the suspension of life and death crisis, Maitreya's thirst for knowledge was violent, and he was quick to do things. When studying, he often sold cute dreams to persuade alcoholism, although the old monk could not do it. I plan to quit drinking, but it's always difficult to drink too much in person, so as not to overdrink and forget important things.
Under Mengxin's teaching, Maitreya carefully studied Zen and Pure Land Buddhism, as well as a series of Buddhist rituals, as well as the healing techniques used to deal with the cannibal ghost and the enemy Naraku.
Different from Buddhism, which is mainly based on theoretical knowledge and norms of daily conduct, it is a kind of mysticism. The main content is to recognize all kinds of supernatural ghosts, deal with them according to their habits, and learn how to deal with them. Apply the mysterious spiritual power in the body.
The so-called spiritual power is the mysterious power in the human body, the manifestation of the soul, and the evil spirit of the monsters and evil spirits. It is the supernatural power that ordinary humans on this land can rely on when facing all kinds of monsters and ghosts.
Following Master Mengxin, Maitreya initially inspired the spiritual power in his body, and then consulted him while personally exploring and practicing the characteristics of spiritual power in the body.
The spiritual power initially inspired by Maitreya is very weak. According to Master Mengxin, spiritual power is the embodiment of the soul and is closely related to physical, spiritual, and will, but the most important thing depends on the natural blood.
There are mages who are born with strong spiritual power and can purify evil spirits with just a little thought. However, no matter how much spiritual power is exercised, it is difficult for some people to improve. And he belongs to the kind of low talent, and crossing does not bring him any talent. The benefits of bonuses.
The talent is not high and I am not afraid. I am afraid that I don't have any talent or even hope. Maitreya doesn't care about Master Mengxin's unintentional blows, but just explores and researches on his own.
After a series of research and exploration, Maitreya finally combined the Buddhism he had learned to propose a new assumption to Mengxin, that is, spiritual power does not depend on the natural bloodline, but everyone has spiritual power, and they are all equal, and the so-called Talent refers to how much an individual releases his own spiritual power, while the remaining spiritual power is blocked.
The so-called princes and generals would rather be kind. The traffickers, pawns and generals are actually equal. This view is quite shocking in Japan. Monk Mengxin is no exception. He is a little surprised. He asks Maitreya, what is it? Obstruct the spiritual power in the human body!
"Yes." Maitreya proposed an idea, and naturally thought of the answer.
"Reading?" Meng Xin pressed her rosacea, her face full of astonishment.
"Yes, Nian, ordinary people, monks, warriors, wizards and witches, all read, read firewood, rice, oil, salt, righteous and evil gods and ghosts, read power, money and profit, all of them." Maitreya nodded surely.
"The wood and stone have no thoughts, why don't they have spiritual power?" Meng Xin's eyes turned slightly, pointing to the floor below him, and the stone tower in the courtyard asked, since thoughts hinder spiritual power, why the wood and stone without thoughts don’t cast demons. In addition to the spiritual power of the demon.
"Non-mindedness is not mindfulness, attachment to nothingness is also mindfulness. The so-called no-mindence is to read only when you don’t think, and then you don’t. A kind of thought, true non-mind, is to read whatever you want.
"How can I get rid of thoughts then?" Meng Xin could not help but mumbled'too complicated' as he listened to the little guy's serious words. Thereby releasing the spiritual power in the body.
"Become a Buddha!" Maitreya stood upright with one hand on his chest and made a small joke, while Monk Mengxin was speechless for a long time, staring at him only with his eyes.
"Uh, that, joking, I think we should do three things without fail." Under the pressure of Master Mengxin's gaze, Maitreya could not help but chatter, and then asked again:
"Master, do you want to practice with me?"
"Don't even think about it, you can do it yourself." Meng Xin vetoed it.
The so-called "three nos" refers to the three basic principles of Buddhism: precepts, concentration, and wisdom. You must keep the precepts from the beginning. This is what Monk Mengxin absolutely refuses to do.
Monk Mengxin did not have the sword of Damorix hanging over his head, and there was a wine worm to worship, but Maitreya could not. With a practical mentality, he began his own spiritual journey.
There are many precepts in Buddhism. Maitreya followed Monk Mengxin to read several Buddhist scriptures, and he knew the five precepts and ten good virtues most.
The ten virtues are not to kill, not to steal, not to be evil, not to lie, not to talk, not to speak badly, not to talk, not to be greedy, not to hate, not to see evil.
In Monk Mengxin’s Dharma Academy, Maitreya did not have many chances to break the precepts, so he is currently performing very well, and the precepts are very relaxed. He didn’t want to find any restrictions for himself, so he went straight to meditation. Go with Xiuhui.
The so-called meditation is Sanskrit, meaning'focus on a certain object', which is synonymous with sitting meditation, purifying and concentrating on one's mind and will. Maitreya believes that this practice is the main reason for unlocking the spiritual power of the human body, so he is very focused.
The main purpose of sitting meditation is to purify thoughts and let people become attentive. Major religions in the world have similar practices. Each sect has different names and practices. Maitreya's practice is the Buddhist Pure Land Sect. He recites Buddhism from the second effort in the "Immeasurable Sutra".
What is meant by his second power? The so-called power is the Buddha power generated by Amitabha’s forty-eight aspirations. Zili has three kinds of resources for his faith, aspirations, and deeds. There are three kinds of accumulation of resources, as long as you say "Amitabha Buddha", By focusing your mind on the'Amitabha Buddha', you will be able to obtain the help and protection of the Buddha's power.
Maitreya’s theoretical knowledge is very solid, and his practice methods have been found, but he has never sat in meditation or knows what it feels like. I have heard people talk about some concepts of meditation.
The meditation can be divided into careless dwelling, careful dwelling, desire to define, future meditation, first jhana to rebirth joy, second jhana to regenerate joy, three jhana to be happy and happy, four jhana to be pure mindfulness, emptiness boundless concentration, consciousness boundless concentration, No-owning concentration and non-imaginative concentration are collectively called four jhana and eight concentration, which can also be considered as twelve states.
