Chapter 15: Tricky game

Views:

The flames in the fireplace in the banquet hall rose up, and the sound of firewood crackling and exploding rolled out. In the area illuminated by the fire, flickering shadows fell on the handsome face of the young man, but his expression was not really happy.

Andre was also unhappy. After the three players came back from winning the game, he raised his eyebrows slightly and did not even bother to hide his expression. He could not put on a celebratory face anyway, and instead lingered among the players with a mocking and malicious look.

His gaze was direct, scanning each one like an inspection.

This kind of malice from the NPC was like a death mark, a dangerous omen that often made the players feel uneasy. But now, his warning and threat completely lost their effect, because the two people who were stared at maliciously by Andre were paying attention to others - to be precise, the newcomer - and didn't notice his gaze at all.

Don't even mention being afraid.

Andre became even angrier.

The person who had been "taken care of" by Andre's malicious gaze for the longest time was naturally the newcomer in the middle.

But Yuan Yuxue walked over with her eyes downcast, cold and quiet, not to mention giving any reaction, not even making eye contact with him for a moment. Andre's eyes were almost burning with fire, his gaze swept from Yuan Yuxue's hair to every part of his ankles, his presence was very strong - but Yuan Yuxue just didn't look at him.

Andre's depression was written all over his face.

Why did this person make him so angry

It can't be dealt with yet.

Curly had a candy in his mouth. He had just been staring at the screen with gritted teeth, and the rabbit was afraid that he might break his teeth, so he found a prop candy for him to chew and play with.

As soon as Yuan Yuxue returned to his seat, he bit the candy into pieces and swallowed it expressionlessly. He stared at him for a long while before saying, "Can you stop being so heroic? You're not that powerful, are you just waiting to get hurt?"

Rabbit didn't know where his anger came from, so he patted his shoulder. Lian Tai frowned and called his name softly to warn him, but Curly didn't stop firing, "How many lives do you have to give? Don't take yourself too seriously. Isn't that guy with glasses better than you in fighting? You're so eager to help others block the knife, right?"

Glasses stood up.

His face still looked ugly, revealing a sickly look, but his eyes were sharp and his edge was not concealed.

"Don't go too far." Glasses glanced at him coldly.

Curly was not afraid of him at all, and sneered, "To be honest, it's not too much - and don't think that you are so great just because you have 'talent'. Who doesn't have it?"

"I don't think I'm great." Glasses said calmly, "I'm just much better than that childish kid who can't tell the difference between like and hate and can only shout loud enough to attract other people's attention all day long."

This retort was obviously beyond Curly's mental preparation. He was stunned for a moment, and his face turned red in an instant. He really looked guilty. After a brief pause, Curly, who believed that he had a clear conscience, loudly and weakly refuted, "Can you not change the subject when you can't argue? I can't stand you lying to Yuan Yuxue to block the knife for you, is that not okay?"

When he saw Yuan Yuxue getting injured while replacing her glasses on the live broadcast, he did feel unusually anxious.
