I Am In Marvel

Chapter 287

"You!" Jane watched her notebook and equipment being carried onto the SHIELD car. She unwillingly wanted to step forward to snatch them. The experienced Eric steadied Daisy, then quickly walked forward and pulled Jane back.

"Jane, don't mess with them." Eric's face was more serious than ever before, and he whispered nervously, "They are from S.H.I.E.L.D., we can't afford to offend them."

"What department is S.H.I.E.L.D." Daisy came over and asked depressedly.

Eric sighed and said, "A mysterious department behind the scenes of the country. I once had a professor friend who studied gamma radiation. After being approached by SHIELD, he never showed up again."

"So exaggerated?!" Jane and Daisy gasped, both frightened.

Chapter 313: S.H.I.E.L.D. Under One Person

"Yes, it's that exaggerated."

Eric spread his hands helplessly.

Any intelligence department with the backing of a country has powers that ordinary people cannot afford to offend, and those intelligence departments all act as thugs for SHIELD.

With the functions of S.H.I.E.L.D., it can mobilize local police and military forces at will and instruct any local agency or department to coordinate actions.

Jane and Daisy were wondering what was going on when they saw Coulson not far away suddenly walking towards Kyle who was standing alone.

Daisy exclaimed and tried to go over and pull Kyle back.

"Daisy, wait a minute!" Eric hurriedly grabbed her, and also watched the two people meet, and said calmly: "It's okay. If it's him, things might turn around..."

After hearing this, Jane narrowed her eyes and looked at Kyle with a little expectation. This time it just happened to verify her guess.

"Hello, sir."

Coulson walked up to Kyle, extended his hand in a friendly manner, looked at his face, and said in confusion, "I always feel that you are a little familiar, as if I have seen you somewhere before."

"Probably." Kyle nodded calmly and shook hands lightly with Coulson. In just a moment, Coulson's face changed slightly, and he withdrew his palm with finger marks in embarrassment.

"Nothing, I'll leave first. I have things to do with some friends." Kyle gestured in the direction of Jane and the others, then left without paying any more attention to him.

"Slow down." Coulson exhaled and said calmly.

After Kyle and his companions left, Coulson still stood there motionless, with a frown on his face, and no one knew what he was thinking about.

"Sir, what's wrong? Was there something wrong with Mr. Ka just now?" Two agents came forward and asked in confusion.

"Ka?" Coulson suddenly opened his eyes wide, his emotions were not calm, and he asked hurriedly: "The man just now was called Mr. Ka?"

"Yes. I just found out. The headquarters still has the relevant archive materials." The agent replied.

"It's really that guy. He actually appears here... Okay, everything is fine now." Coulson patted his chest. He was also skeptical just now, but only now did he completely confirm Kyle's identity.

"Sir, who is that?" The two new agents obviously didn't understand the meaning of the nickname 'Ka'.

"If I tell you, it will probably scare you, so I'd better not say it. Hurry up and pack your things and drive away from here." Coulson sighed, looking at the red mark on his palm, feeling depressed and self-inflicted.

The god hadn't left New York City for half a year, but now he's traveling around the human world.

Coulson sighed inwardly, took out his cell phone, and turned to Director Fury's number to play.

No matter what, this matter must be reported to the director.

Ever since the internal turmoil at S.H.I.E.L.D. half a year ago, the veteran agents in the agency have trembled at the sight of the statue symbolizing peace. The inhumane and bloody scene of the massacre at the S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters is still vivid in their minds.

There are indeed many departments and people under S.H.I.E.L.D., but they are all under one person. I believe many agents have already memorized this fact.

The meeting with Coulson, whose attitude was like meeting a stranger, made Jane's speculation about Kyle's identity fade a lot.

This is also a good thing.

After all, Kyle doesn't want to reveal his true identity too early. It is very convenient and simple for him to blend into the small scientific research team of ordinary people and secretly help Thor.

If Thor knew that I was here, he would probably complain why I didn't help him return to the divine realm.

Kyle didn't want to get involved in the family farce in the Divine Realm.

Kyle followed Jane and her group back to the station wagon, and Jane drove out of town, preparing to head to the site where the meteorite was rumored to have fallen.

Before the car left the town, we met Thor at a pet shop on the side of the road, who was trying to buy a war horse from the clerk.

Thor was probably used to flying. After losing his divine power and Thor's hammer, it would take a day for a mortal to walk 30 miles, so he thought carefully and wanted to find a warhorse to ride...

This prince from the divine realm, after being severely ridiculed by Daisy once again, finally sat in the back of the station wagon.

The van drove out of the town into the afternoon sunset, raising a cloud of dust over the wilderness and heading straight for its destination thirty miles south.

As we approached the crater, the sun had already set below the horizon, the light and temperature had all faded, and night fell over the cold, uninhabited wilderness.

The station wagon was like a lonely traveler, turning on the headlights and continuing to move forward, with two dim beams of light cutting through the night.

When they were about half a mile away from their destination, Kyle, who was sitting in the passenger seat, suggested that everyone get out of the car and walk the rest of the way instead of driving.

Before the group understood the purpose, Thor had already opened the car door, got out of the trunk, walked to the small slope and looked into the distance. They could see a halo that looked like a small city, slightly shrouding the crater.

"Brother Ka is right. This iron lump called a car is too conspicuous. We can only walk the rest of the way." Thor spoke, and could not help but move, speeding up his feet towards the light source.

Kyle followed in silence, and the others saw this and had no choice but to continue moving forward.

Ten minutes later.

The group arrived near the pit, lowered their bodies, lay on the edge of the hillside and looked down ahead.

I saw that a large modern research institute base had been built on the spot with the meteorite crater as the center. The third floor building was brightly lit, and staff members were conducting investigations inside.

A protective iron net marked with high voltage electricity was set up around the laboratory. Many armed personnel with guns were patrolling everywhere, and more supplies were brought in by large trucks and planes.

Eric lowered his voice and said, "In less than half a day, a temporary fortress was built so quickly. This must be a big deal from S.H.I.E.L.D."

"If it's just a meteorite, why don't they take it away? Why do they have to build a city here?" Jane said puzzledly.

"Yeah, that's unnecessary." Daisy agreed.

"It's simple, because they can't take it away. You just stay here, and I'll go get what belongs to me." Thor couldn't hold back, so he walked out on his own and rushed straight to the protective iron net under the cover of night.

"That damn guy, doesn't he know that he will implicate us? Ka, what should we do now?" Daisy said in annoyance. She turned around and was shocked to find that Kyle, who was originally following the crowd, had disappeared since some time.

"Where is Mr. Ka?" Jane also noticed.

"Probably, he went with them." Eric smiled bitterly and pointed at Thor's receding back.

At this time, inside the temporary research institute of S.H.I.E.L.D.

In the middle of the research institute building, the silver hammer has not moved and is placed in the middle of the crater. Researchers in white clothes are coming in and out, holding measuring instruments and collecting data next to the hammer.
