Time for the usual wrap-up.
The seventh volume, "Coral Volume", was completed in forty days. I didn't calculate the exact length, but I estimate it to be between 250,000 and 300,000 words, making it the shortest of all volumes.
Feiwan was sitting in front of the computer at this moment, and he didn't know what to say for a moment.
There is no other reason.
I'm just a little disappointed, disappointed in myself.
The original idea was very beautiful. I hope to reveal the entire world view in this volume, fill in the holes buried before, and end with a "carnival of honor" as the climax of this volume...
As a result, after the end of NieR's Demon Possession arc, Feimaru's condition fell to the bottom.
It's hard to describe that feeling.
My mind is in a daze every day, and I can no longer construct text that I am satisfied with. Lack of sleep, back pain and headaches begin to plague me one after another.
In fact, Feimaru already had a premonition that this volume would be messed up.
Screwed up by myself.
I have never had the experience of writing a long novel, and I never imagined that ending a story would be so difficult. It cannot be summed up in a few words.
Feiwan finally settled for the second best, thinking that even if he couldn't write a wonderful ending, he had to make it clear what needed to be said and not have a bad ending.
So even though it was very painful and torturous to sit in front of the computer every day, I tried my best to write the story smoothly and without being abrupt.
But, alas, looking back, it’s still fast!
Too fast!
My mood was extremely bad.
Feiwan couldn't believe that what he wrote was so bad.
If you feel that the pace of this volume is too fast, or even a bit rushed, don't doubt it, it's just that Feiwan didn't write it well.
Feiwan was too eager to be "liberated".
When I was halfway through writing the Coral Volume, Feiwan felt that the words on the screen had turned into a speeding train, and neither my keyboard nor my mind could stop it.
It was speeding up and there was no turning back.
The final result is that the foreshadowing is seriously insufficient. Feiwan simply does not have the patience to lay the groundwork. He is like a possessed person, and only wants to use more emotionally arousing plots to support himself to persevere.
As a result, the climax of "Carnival of Honor" is not as strong as the sixth volume "Agate Volume" or even the fifth volume "Pearl Volume".
Sorry, ladies.
Let’s talk about the last volume, the eighth volume “Glass Volume”.
In the previous single chapter, Feiwan said that this volume will be very short. If nothing unexpected happens, it should be similar to the first volume "Emerald Volume", with about twenty chapters, and then it will be completed at the end of the month.
It’s funny, it’s like a closed loop of fate, echoing the beginning and the end.
As for this volume, Feiwan doesn't want to write it so roughly and disappoint himself, so he plans to take two days off this time.
I spend the day having a good sleep because my sleep has been really poor during this period and my head is buzzing every morning when I wake up.
Another day is used to organize the outline, make clear what needs to be said, and write the final ending clearly.
Feiwan no longer aims too high.
Don’t think about it, don’t force yourself to write a shocking, invincible ending…
Feiwan recognized his current level.
Maybe it's really impossible.
Therefore, Feiwan hopes that in this final story, he can draw a satisfactory conclusion to Alan's story with a serious attitude.
Give myself and the beautiful women who have accompanied this story for more than a year a satisfactory explanation.
Although Feiwan also knows that most readers don’t like to read this so-called summary, nor do they like to read the author’s single chapter.
But Feiwan still wrote down these thoughts from his heart.
After it is put on the shelves, every volume is like this.
I also hope that I can have a correct attitude and not treat story writing as a "job" to make quick money, but truly treat it as my own "career" and something I love.
Feiwan believes that only by constantly reflecting, learning, accumulating and thinking can one become a qualified "online novelist".
Thank you again.
Two days later, on July 12th, updates resumed at 5 pm.
Let "The King of Villains" move to its finale.
