When digging a hole, who knew it would be so difficult to fill it!
If possible, I hope to keep writing.
Even when writing this speech, I wanted to delete this speech more than once. Old holes were filled and new holes were dug. Delete a few lines at the end of the ending and create a magical twist. The subspace becomes the real universe. Change the map to start a new journey. The protagonist drives a Constitution-class starship all over the world to crush indigenous civilizations and so on...
It's quite exciting to think about it.
But I still can't do it.
The remaining bit of integrity tells me that this is irresponsible to the readers, and also irresponsible to the world I have spent the past two years weaving with my heart. It may be a bit hypocritical to say this, but this is the truest thought when I wrote the ending.
