I Heard You’re Hard To Chase

Chapter 7

Lu Yi was sitting opposite them and almost spit water when he heard Xie Huai's words.

Jiang Xu laughed, and it was obvious that Xie Huai was distracted just now.

He asked again: "I asked what you want to drink?"

Jiang Xu paused and said, "Are you sure you want to drink me?"

After listening to Jiang Xu's words, Xie Huai realized that he had made a fool of himself, and he seemed a little at a loss.

"Well, I was just about to ask you what you want to drink," Xie Huai quickly said, "Don't think too much."

Jiang Xu didn't know whether he believed it or not, he just said "hmm" softly: "Lemon tea, do you want some?"

"Drink." Xie Huai said.

Lemon tea was one of the few things he liked to drink. When he was in junior high school, he would buy a cup every week. It had a sour and sweet taste, and Xie Huai liked the taste.

Jiang Xu turned around and went into the store to get some water.

Xie Huai continued to pick up a skewer of beef and took a bite. Lu Yi glanced at him, then sat on the chair and moved towards Xie Huai with a grunt.

Xie Huai glanced at Lu Yi and asked him, "What are you doing?"

Lu Yi looked around and saw that the other classmates in their class were all at the next tables. There were only five people at their table, including Jiang Xu who went up to get lemon tea.

The other two were eating happily and no one noticed them.

Lu Yi said, "Brother Huai, you have changed recently."

"What's changed?" Xie Huai's hand paused for half a second, then he continued to eat the beef skewers as if nothing had happened.

Lu Yi said: "You are beginning to love studying."

Xie Huai: “…”

"I want to start studying hard, is that not possible?" Xie Huai said.

"Okay, okay. Hey, Brother Xu is back." Lu Yi dragged a chair back to his previous seat and sat down.

Jiang Xu came over and placed a cup of lemon tea in front of Xie Huai: "Add a little ice."

Xie Huai touched it and found it was not cold, but at room temperature, with two ice cubes floating on it.

"Drinking too much cold food is bad for your health." Jiang Xu said as he sat down.

Xie Huai retracted his gaze, picked up the lemon tea in front of him and took a big sip. It tasted pretty good.

Seeing that Jiang Xu didn't eat much of these things tonight and just drank a few sips of lemon tea, he asked, "You don't like barbecue?"

"No, I'm not hungry." Jiang Xu said lightly.

Xie Huai said "Oh" and then said nothing.

They ate until nine o'clock in the evening, and then they slowly said goodbye to each other and went home.

There were no buses at this time, so Xie Huai and Jiang Xu took a taxi.

The driver asked them where they were going, and Jiang Xu gave an address and then said nothing more.

Not long after Xie Huai sat down, he closed his eyes and fell asleep.

His head rested on Jiang Xu's shoulder. This road was quite winding, so in order to make Xie Huai sleep more comfortably, Jiang Xu reached out and held him.

Xie Huai slept comfortably all the way.

Xie Huai, who had just woken up, was still a little confused and only knew to follow Jiang Xu.

By the time he arrived at Jiang Xu's house, he still hadn't reacted.

When Jiang Xu opened the door, he saw Xie Huai walked in first. After changing his shoes at the entrance, he walked into the bathroom.

Jiang Xu: “…”

Feeling a little worried, Jiang Xu followed him over.

"Xie Huai?" He knocked on the bathroom door.

Xie Huai was stunned in the bathroom. He looked at the unfamiliar bathroom and suddenly realized what he had done.

"Fuck," Xie Huai really wanted to go back a few minutes and slap himself to wake himself up, "Xie Huai, you are such a talented person."

He awkwardly opened the bathroom door again and smiled at Jiang Xu twice: "Well, did I go to the wrong house?"

Jiang Xu leaned against the wall and raised his eyebrows at Xie Huai with a half-smile: "Well, you can continue."
