A dust
The first of the three Zen masters, the legendary "heart master", Monk Yichen? !
It didn't matter if the crowd didn't want to listen. When they heard the monk in front of them announce his name, they all took a deep breath. Not only Jianchou, but even the Yin Sect and Yang Sect monks on both sides changed their expressions.
Even if placed in the entire 19 continents, the Three Zen Masters are the biggest figures among the big figures.
What’s more, the person in front of him is the leader of the three Zen masters
Although the powerful ones in the Return to Void Stage are ranked last among the three masters, they are unattainable realms for ordinary cultivators and old monsters who have reached the Nascent Soul stage!
The field fell silent in an instant.
The Yin-Yang sects have always had a good relationship with the Zen sect, not to mention that there were already disciples from Kunwu Yashan here, so they dared not act rashly and just watched from the side.
Jianchou turned his head to look at the female demon standing behind Monk Yichen and raised his eyebrows slightly.
It's strange.
It would be fine if others were cautious when seeing Monk Yichen, but why did this witch show a hint of fear on her face towards her savior
And ever since Monk Yichen appeared, she has been standing still and has no intention of escaping.
Don’t want to, or can’t
This thought flashed through Jianchou's mind, and his gaze moved in the space between the banshee and Monk Yichen before returning to Yichen.
The moves of this big monk were truly amazing. He easily broke the Heaven-Flipping Seal with just one finger. He should not be underestimated.
Just looking at his kind face, polite words and compassion in his eyes, he is very different from those monks in Xinmi, the Snowy Region.
Because he tried to stop it, Jianchou didn't have a very good impression of him, but it wasn't a bad one either.
So he looked at him and said with a smile: "I have always heard of the name of Master Yichen, the Zen Master. Today I see that his reputation is well-deserved. I have admired him for a long time. But what the master said makes me confused."
It was also the first time that Monk Yichen saw Jianchou, who was already famous in the Nineteen Continents at such a young age. At the first sight, he admired her in his heart, but when he looked at her carefully, he couldn't help but be shocked by her strange state at that moment.
He is indeed a person who can impress everyone who sees him...
Kunwuya Mountain still stands at the top of these 19 continents.
In the past twenty years, the whereabouts of the Zen treasure Xumi Mustard Seed has been unknown, and the two geniuses of the two sects have also disappeared. Although it was because Liaokong wanted to save people, and Kunwu Yashan didn't say anything, Yichen still felt a little guilty.
Today he was in meditation in the Zen room, but unexpectedly he felt a familiar breath all of a sudden, it was the Sumeru mustard seed, the most precious treasure of Zen Buddhism.
After checking the location, I found out that it was at the border between Yin and Yang sects.
Thus, all the previous doubts were solved. Yichen did not dare to delay too long. He hurriedly said a few words to his disciples, then immediately used the great teleportation technique and came over, and only then was he able to stop Jianchou.
"Amitabha." Facing Jianchou's question, he chanted a Buddhist name and said, "This demon was actually enlightened by this poor monk unintentionally, but who would have thought that it would lead to the corresponding karma. It is true that she has some connection with young friend Jianchou. But this is not the right time and place to explain the whole story. I wonder if you can ask a few donors to move to the Zen sect?"
This demon was actually accidentally enlightened by Monk Yichen
In other words, she already existed, but became like this only because of Yichen's enlightenment
Jianchou was a little surprised, but she felt that this matter was not ordinary, and there was no reason to refuse it at the moment. Moreover, in front of everyone, as the head of the three Zen masters, it was impossible for Monk Yichen to deceive her.
not to mention…
She stopped the witch because she really wanted to find out the whole story. She wanted to kill her just now because the witch had no intention of bowing her head, and she felt that it was useless to keep her. But now that Yichen had spoken, she certainly had no more concerns.
Jianchou thought for only a moment before answering, "Master, I dare not refuse your invitation. I will trouble you to lead the way."
Xie Buchen on the side did not say anything.
Just now, Monk Yichen mentioned "several small donors", which obviously included him. However, at this moment, he neither said that he agreed nor said that he would not go.
That deep gaze swept over Jianchou, the banshee, and Yichen one by one.
The banshee was still standing behind Yichen, as if she was trapped there.
In fact, since Yichen had come, he would not let the demon escape. So when he stood on the Liangyi Pool and helped the demon to avoid the danger of Jianchou's palm, he also used the art of drawing a prison on the ground to prevent her from leaving.
Since Xie Buchen didn't answer at this moment, Yichen took it as his consent.
So, he smiled and said, "In that case, please wait for a moment."
Jianchou, Xie Buchen and others were a little confused, wondering what he was going to do after waiting for a while.
As the thought flashed through his mind, Yichen turned around.
The finger that had just formed the Flower-Picking Finger Gesture was now slightly extended to form a half-opened Lotus Seal, pointing far away towards the curved line where the black and white intersected at the Yin-Yang Pond below.
"Buzz..."
It was hard to tell whether that curve was black or white. At the intersection of the yin and yang auras, a faint aura of chaos was revealed, which could not be easily penetrated by human consciousness.
But at the moment Yichen pointed his finger downwards, a tiny golden light like a speck of dust suddenly lit up from it!
A line of chaos!
A speck of dust!
It was none other than the Sumeru mustard seed whose shape is invisible to the naked eye!
This familiar breath was clearly tiny, yet it had a kind of vastness and majesty that could contain Mount Sumeru and the ocean. Jianchou and Xie Buchen felt it almost immediately.
After they escaped using the Great Five Elements Breaking the Prohibition Technique, they did not find any trace of the treasure. They did not expect that it was located between the chaos of Yin and Yang.
In just a moment, the Sumeru mustard seed had returned to Yichen's fingertips.
He gently closed his fingers, and the light of the mustard seed dimmed, and then it disappeared quietly, leaving no trace. It was obvious that it must have been collected by Yichen.
This item is a treasure of Zen Buddhism and has always been kept by him, so he doesn't need to explain anything.
At this moment, he just turned around and bowed to the elders and disciples waiting for him from the Yin-Yang Sect. He said with a sense of guilt: "This time, I and a few small donors mistakenly entered the forbidden area of the Liangyi Pool of your two sects and disturbed you. Today, I have something else to do. I will come to apologize one day. I hope you can forgive me."
"Master Yichen, you are too polite. It is just a small matter, not worth mentioning."
"If the leader of our sect knew that the master was coming, he would be overjoyed. And you just accidentally entered the Liangyi Pool and didn't mean any harm, so how could you be upset?"
The elders of the two sects were both discerning people. After hearing Yichen's words, they repeatedly said that it was okay.
After all, Monk Yichen is a man of high moral character and prestige. Secondly, he has no ill intentions. Thirdly, even if he has ill intentions, with their abilities they cannot stop a great being in the Return to Void Stage.
So instead of being pretentious, it’s better to be straightforward.
Maybe, you can even win a favor from Zen Buddhism.
How could Yichen, who was called the "mind master", not know what these people were thinking? But he didn't care in his heart.
Since the matter here was temporarily over, he thanked them and turned back to Jianchou and the others and said, "Then please benefactors, although I am a poor monk, I will move to the Zen sect."
As he finished speaking, the monk waved his sleeves, and the lotus under his feet suddenly grew larger, swallowing up Jianchou and the others, and disappeared in an instant.
Suddenly, no one could be seen on the Liangyi Pond.
Above the chaotic sky, only a golden lotus remained, its light gradually dimming and its shape gradually disappearing...
The Yin-Yang sect cultivators had never seen such a method before. They were all amazed for a moment.
The three Jianchou people who were inside the Buddha lotus were naturally even more shocked.
From their perspective, as soon as the lotus was rolled up, a heart-pounding spatial fluctuation was transmitted, and the whole person felt as if they were in some kind of torrent.
When I came back to my senses, the world before my eyes had completely changed.
There was a faint sound of waves coming from my ears.
There was a very light moisture floating in the air, with a slight salty tide from the sea.
A not very high mountain lies quietly in front of us. At the foot of the mountain, a fairly wide mountain path is built towards the heights. Steps extend one by one all the way to the middle of the mountain, where there is a temple.
After passing the mountain gate, the Heavenly King Hall is in front, with the bell and drum towers on both sides.
In the back there are many temples and pavilions stacked one on top of the other, but there is no sense of crowding between them. In the corners of the yellow walls and glazed tiles, you can often see a few old Bodhi trees, lush and vigorous.
The entire Zen temple is half-hidden between green mountains and green trees, exuding a flavor that is between being in the world and being out of the world.
"This is the West Sea, the ancestral home of our Zen Buddhism."
Yichen stood not far from them, nodded slightly, and took the lead to walk up the steps at the foot of the mountain, leading the way for them.
When the demon girl saw the Zen temple, her face turned ugly.
But at this time he couldn't utter a word, and his feet couldn't be controlled. He could only follow Yichen and walk upwards.
Jianchou and Xie Buchen, however, were filled with shock and fear in their hearts: they had already passed the Nascent Soul stage and of course knew the limit of "teleportation". No matter what, it was impossible for them to come directly to the Xihai Zen Sect from the border between the Yin and Yang Sects!
Such a terrifying distance...
At least it has to be "moved"!
People say that one can build a foundation to control weapons, use the golden elixir to fly in the air, use the Nascent Soul to teleport, and move out of the body.
Monk Yichen was the first on the seventh level of the Nine Heavens Monument, and he was the real first person in the Return to Void Stage. I'm afraid that his ability to move the three of them was definitely not ordinary.
Is this the real "great power"
Just this seemingly simple detail gave Jianchou a deeper understanding of the true "great power".
She didn't say anything else, but just followed Yichen's footsteps.
As the group walked up, they occasionally met a few pilgrims coming down the mountain. When they saw Monk Yichen, they showed respect to him, but they did not show any fear, let alone treat him like a god. They just bowed respectfully and kowtowed to him, and then went down the mountain.
This scene is completely different from what I saw in the snowy area.
Once you get to the top of the mountain, you can see many monks walking or busy.
The robes they wore were of different colors, and one could easily tell their different identities and qualifications in Zen Buddhism by looking at the depth of their cultivation.
There are young novices who have just entered the sect, as well as senior monks with high levels of cultivation.
Seeing Monk Yichen coming back with a few outsiders, including two identical female cultivators, they became more curious, but their looks were mostly pure and without malice, and did not seem offensive.
There are also people who meet you face to face and come up to greet you.
No matter who the visitor was, Monk Yichen would return the greeting calmly, which made Jianchou look at him with extra respect.
When they arrived in front of the Palace of Heavenly Kings, Yichen paused slightly.
A monk with a serious and stern face came out from inside. He had thick eyebrows and angry eyes, and looked very stern. He swept his eyes over Jianchou and the others, and bowed to them in a proper manner.
But the words were directed to Yichen: "Junior Brother Yichen, this is..."
"Amitabha, these two are the donors Yashan Jianchou and Kunwu Xie Buchen, and the other one is the female demon that I accidentally enlightened that day."
Yichen sighed, took the initiative to introduce their identities, and introduced the monk to them.
"Dear donors, this is my poor monk brother, the abbot of our Zen sect, with the Buddhist name Wu Gou."
Abbot Wuque!
This is also one of the three great Zen masters!
Jianchou had heard of the three Zen masters in the past: the mind master Yichen, the precept master Wujiu, and the love master Xuelang. Among the three, Xuelang had the highest level of cultivation, Wujiu had the strictest precepts, and Yichen had the most insightful thoughts.
It can be said that such three powerful beings are rarely seen in other places in the Nineteen Continents.
But in Zen Buddhism, he just stood casually in front of the Temple of Heavenly Kings. If she was not mistaken, he was just talking to the pilgrims who came to burn incense. It can be said that he did not have the slightest airs of a powerful person.
"Meet Abbot Wuque."
Although he felt that Zen Buddhism was very different from other places, he did not forget the etiquette and bowed his hands, which was a sign of greeting.
The banshee watched, without moving.
However, Xie Buchen, who was standing aside and had always been very careful, also bowed.
Wuqiu has always been a serious person. When he saw the two people bowing, his expression did not relax at all, but his brows were furrowed even more tightly.
He glanced at the female demon following behind Yichen and asked, "Is this the female demon you enlightened?"
"That's right." Yichen certainly didn't deny it. He stepped aside and said, "I'll have to trouble you, Senior Brother, to take her to the Thousand Buddha Hall first. I still need to explain the origin and the whole story to a few of you young friends."
Although Zilai Wuque is the abbot and is known to be in charge of the internal and external affairs of Zen Buddhism, due to his rigid and serious personality, many things are not suitable for him to handle.
At times like this, Monk Yichen would often come.
Over time, the internal and external affairs of Zen Buddhism were separated, with Wujiu being in charge of the internal and Yichen being in charge of the external.
Therefore, Abbot Wuqiu did not express any objection to what Monk Yichen said at this moment. He just looked at the banshee solemnly, stretched out his hand to grab her, and the banshee was already beside him.
She still had the same face as Jianchou, and there was no sign of her revealing herself when in front of the master.
At this moment, when he arrived beside Abbot Wuqiu, his eyes fell directly on Jianchou.
What a familiar look that is
Whenever Jianchou looked at himself in the mirror in the past, he would often see this kind of gaze - his own gaze.
So at this moment, she clearly felt: "You seem to have something to say to me."
"I do have something to say, but not to you, but to me." The witch laughed, but the meaning between her eyebrows was a little complicated. It was clearly a smile, but it sounded like a faint sigh, "You can even give up me, so what else in this world can you not give up?"
you.
This word is really used in a subtle way.
Although her gaze was always on her and never shifted at all, it was obvious that Chou had an inexplicable feeling: this sentence was not only asking her, but also asking Xie Buchen.
Xie Buchen's gaze was also falling on this banshee.
The moment she asked this question, all the speculations that had come to his mind were confirmed. But at this moment, he did not have the calmness of a man who had a plan and foresight, but only a sudden sense of desolation.
Because he already knew what kind of existence she was.
After saying this, the witch stopped talking, except for a hint of sarcasm on her face, which looked exactly like Jianchou's.
Jianchou had some thoughts in his mind, but he had nothing to say.
Monk Yichen knew why the demon said that. He only sighed with a bit of pity and continued to lead the way: "The wisdom of Prajna is not big or small, it is for all sentient beings to have different levels of confusion and enlightenment. People have thousands of thoughts. Thousands of thoughts in one body, that is, people, that is, dust. Sometimes one thought, sometimes one mistake, and you become a demon. In the end, it is my fault..."
There is a hint of Zen in these words, which shows that sorrow is not easy to comprehend.
She didn't respond.
Yichen didn't need anyone to respond. He just chanted two sentences and led them past the Heavenly King Hall, along the mountainside, and to higher places. They soon passed the Sutra Library and Lixue Pavilion and arrived at the foot of a cliff on the back mountain.
The mountain wall was as smooth as a mirror, reflecting some of the setting sunlight.
Beneath the wall is a lotus pond of about 20 to 30 feet in radius. The lotuses in the pond are blooming without leaves, leaving only the faint light and hazy shadows, which is a wonderful sight.
But what is more worrying is the water in the lotus pond.
There is clearly no living water flowing in, yet it keeps flowing through it.
The water in the pool was neither transparent nor colorless, nor was it like the Yin-Yang Pond, which was divided into two distinct colors, black and white. The water in this pool was neither clean nor dirty. In each stream of water, there was a wisp of smoke-black ash!
Looking down at the bottom of the pool, it was darker, as if it was made up of countless ashes.
The entire lotus pond exudes an indescribable sense of illusion. The water in the pond is surging, but the surface of the pond is filled with mist, floating around the blooming lotus in the pond.
Jianchou's spiritual consciousness subconsciously reached out.
At that moment, a myriad of images rushed towards me. From the mist and the surging water, I saw countless figures and countless scenes, some sad, some happy, some angry, some sad...
She even felt that the moment she "saw" them, they turned around and "looked" at her.
However, the illusion only lasted for a moment before disappearing again.
In addition to the sound of the wind from the top of the mountain, what reappeared in my ears was the voice of Monk Yichen, which was caught in the wind and was full of wisdom and compassion.
"I believe that Donor Jianchou has already seen that this is the 'Cinder Pool'."
"Every being who has awakened to spiritual wisdom in the Nineteen Continents, whether an ordinary mortal or a great being who knows everything, all the things they have forgotten and abandoned in the past will be gathered in this pool."
"The scattered ones are like dust, which will dissipate over time and sink to the bottom of the pond; the gathered ones become streams, which gather and are difficult to disperse, floating on the surface of the water."
Monk Yichen said, pointing forward with his hand: "Everything is just as you have just seen."
When Jianchou heard the word "Jinchi", he already had an idea in his heart.
After listening to Monk Yichen's words, she finally understood. But when she thought about it, she couldn't help but feel a little confused: it was indeed related to the "past" she had given up in the door of cause and effect.
It is truly miraculous that this pool of ash can contain such a thought-like nothingness of the past.
She frowned slightly, and didn't mention a word about herself. She just asked tentatively: "You mean..."
"This Ash Pond has been here since before our Zen sect moved north. It is a unique place created by heaven and earth."
"For more than ten generations, few monks from my sect have come here. Only I like to come here, just to see the sorrows and joys of all living things in the world, and to sharpen my heart in the mundane world."
"I just didn't expect..."
Yichen stood by the pool, looking at the water flowing in the pool for years, and sighed with a smile. In his eyes, there was a bit of the surprise he had just felt when he first saw Jianchou, and also a sense of relief that karma had come to an end and it was destined to be like this.
"Decades ago, I meditated here as usual."
"Unexpectedly, a stream of water in the pond carried the ashes and suddenly floated up, still in a state of ignorance, without any spirit. However, its thoughts were very strong and its intentions were very persistent. It had not disappeared for decades, but instead absorbed the spiritual energy of heaven and earth and bathed in the compassionate Buddha's light. Over time, the spirit became wise. One day, it actually took shape and came out to inquire about its troubles."
"I couldn't bear to hurt his life, so I wanted to resolve his doubts and help him attain enlightenment..."
Having said this, there is really no need to say more.
Yichen looked back at Jianchou, shook his head, and was somewhat helpless: "It was just a momentary kindness after all. She actually gained enlightenment from it, and turned into a demon in a moment. From then on, she escaped from Zen Buddhism and almost caused a disaster."
