After finishing each book, I always felt empty inside. After finishing Immortal Mortal, I still didn't want to move, I was still at a loss, or I didn't know what to do.
Many readers have pointed out the shortcomings of Immortal Mortal, some of which I think are right, and some of which I think are different from mine. If Immortals ends poorly, I agree. To say it sucks, I really disagree. Regarding the ending of "Liang Jie" bringing about the nirvana of the universe, I am quite satisfied. Because there are all kinds of human nature revealed here, and the fragility of human nature in the face of life and death.
Everyone, even a monk, has a mortal desire hidden deep in his heart. This desire is also a manifestation of human nature.
Some friends said that some of the subsequent life or arrangements between Mo Wuji and the heroine should be explained.
I feel like this is really not needed, and if I really wrote it like this, it would be a failure. It actually doesn’t take many words to write like this, maybe a thousand words at most. Just write that the mortal universe has taken shape, and Mo Wuji takes his family to travel in the mortal universe, happily admiring the vast scenery of this newly formed universe, and feeling infinite satisfaction and happiness in his heart.
But is this really good? At least I feel bad.
I think it is not a good ending for a book to end without any unfinished expectations. Only the kind of ending that makes readers look forward to, reminisce and even feel a little dissatisfied has more charm. Of course, I can't say that this kind of ending is the best, but there are thousands of endings, and everyone's eyes are different.
There are also some readers who think that the reason why the ending is not good is because there are still some holes that have not been filled, such as the black dragon, such as the Seven Realms Stone... In fact, they all ignored that I still dug a hole in the last chapter (not Hou Yu Chenghe Demonic Rules) ). As for what this pit is, I won’t mention it. If readers see it, please reply to me below.
The reason why I do this is probably inseparable from my bad habits. I always hope that after a book is finished, if I write it again in the future, there will be somewhere I can start, such as a side story or a sequel. Leave a few insignificant pitfalls. If you are writing a side story, just pick them up. The last chapter leaves a hole, which can be continued when writing sequels and side stories.
No matter which way you think about it, there is no problem with the ending of Immortal Mortal.
In the last chapter, I originally wanted to write that Dahuang also merged with a Tao Principle and turned into the Spirit Source Tao Principle. Later, I still refrained from writing like this, trying to reduce some sadness.
Regarding Hou Yucheng’s story, the outline has been changed. The original synopsis said that Hou Yucheng practiced the magic way, but his character was incompatible with the magic way. In the world of immortals and gods, everyone is not ashamed of the devil. To associate with the devil is to risk the disdain of the world. Mo Wuji acted based on his heart, but ignored this rule and became friends with Hou Yucheng. As a result, Mo Wuji became a bad guy (please allow me to use such simple words to describe it).
The reason why the outline was changed later was that it was not in line with Mo Wuji's view of human life. Secondly, this kind of plot is also quite cliche and not very interesting to write. Later, when conceiving the ending, Hou Yucheng transformed the formation of the mortal world into a demonic principle.
There is also a fifth outline. In fact, this is not the outline of an immortal mortal, but the outline of the strongest abandoned young man. It's just because I haven't written it out yet, so I've been putting it off again and again. Whether Immortal Mortal is the ending or not really has nothing to do with this part of the outline.
Of course, I can also continue writing this part of the outline after Immortal Mortal, and I have a way to continue writing it. I have already mentioned the reason why there is no continuation, so I won’t say more here.
What touches me most about Immortal Mortal is the support and encouragement given to me by many readers and friends in the last two months.
Many books are 100% confirmed on the first day they are opened, but Lao Wu will quip in the future and say, my book is suddenly 100% approved the day it ends. There are so many books opened by Bai Meng. Have you ever seen the books written by Bai Meng on the day they are finished? This is a surprise and a touch.
The book is over, please allow me to send my most sincere thanks.
Thank you to every reader who likes my book, to every friend who subscribes to my book and votes for me, to every friend who supports Lao Wu, and to every friend who follows my public WeChat account!
Thank you, we have spent every inch of reading time together!
