Many years ago, when Shi Wuduan was still mischievous on Jiulu Mountain, he felt that practicing Taoism, practicing martial arts, astrology and controlling swords were very normal things, and Xuanzong and the three popes were even more natural.
When Master was still alive, Shi Wuduan even had the honor to go to the Mahayana Pope with him. I don’t remember what useful things I saw there, but I was only impressed by their food that was so pale that there were birds in their mouths. Every day, clear water radish, he felt that his ears grew long from eating it.
When he was young, the elders, including Daozu, had been instilling a beautiful story in him: a person who cultivates the Tao should cultivate his body and mind, follow the teachings, and do good deeds. There are few ascetics, because this road is difficult to walk. Once you step on it, you must seek alone, be compassionate, and never change your fundamental determination despite all kinds of tribulations.
To sum up these awe-inspiring words, it means that ascetics are all very remarkable, and they all have the common people in their hearts, so they should be admired by the common people of the world as a matter of course, and their status is sacred and inviolable.
Shi Wuduan once believed this story—it wasn’t long before he changed out of his crotch pants, and he didn’t know that the words “common people in the world” and “compassion for heaven and earth” were not used to describe the deliciousness of sesame seed cakes.
Later, he started to study hard, and after gradually gaining more experience, he understood the true meaning of what the master and his uncles said-the status of ascetics is very high in this continent. It is said that they can call the wind and rain, and can go to the sky and enter the earth. Now, when others mention them, they always add a "legendary" to show respect, not because they are very capable, but because they are few.
In ancient times, it was normal for dynasties to change hands, and it was not more than two or three hundred years, or even a few decades or even a few years. The unlucky emperor was stepped on the noble dragon's buttocks before he sat on the dragon chair. Boom down.
The middle of the day shifts, and the full moon loses. When something is born and grows, and gradually becomes mature and brilliant, rebellion and decay will follow. There is nothing in this world that is born without loopholes. Yes, when the prosperity falls, the covered loopholes will gradually open, waiting for a violent death, so as to grow new things.
Between nature, everything is born, it has been like this since the ancient gods opened the world, until the rise of monasticism—or in other words, until the day when the three popes began to form a tripartite rivalry after a long struggle and alliance.
There is a secret agreement between the three popes, it is not as simple as mortals stretching out their hands to make a pledge, but it contains some kind of mysterious power. Most of the disciples under the sect vaguely know about it, but no one except the master himself Know how that secret covenant was made and how it was maintained.
The pope is so powerful that those unorthodox sects live like hermits, lest they get in the way of anyone. Ordinary people are afraid of these seemingly omnipotent ascetics, the royal family and the court rely on them, and more than half of the important officials in the court are from Taoism.
There are few people on this road, and although it is difficult, I am afraid it is not much more difficult than practicing literature and martial arts during the twelve years of cold windows, thirty-nine in winter and three in summer. Instead, there are too many people who squeeze their heads in, and those who have already entered have to set up such a high threshold to enter the sky in order to keep their own way.
This threshold has a name that is very consistent with everyone's imagination, and it is called "Fate Law".
In terms that people can understand, it is whether you can be pleasing to the eyes of a certain "noble person" and get a place on this single-plank bridge where thousands of troops pass by.
When Shi Wuduan and Gu Huaiyang started to embark on this path of rebellion, they knew that the heaviest stone on their heads was the Pope. All brilliance is like a mirror image.
For example, Cui Hu and others were forced to stand up because they couldn't survive. The leader is like this, and the brothers under him are also like this. When Cui Hu came with his army, he planned to seek justice from General Gu. At that time, Gu Huaiyang personally sent a small group of people to plead guilty with the property of several big families in Guji City who had ruined their homes.
While presenting Gu Huaiyang's letter respectfully, he recognized relatives and fellow villagers in Cui Hujun.
Many Anqing soldiers are more upright. On the one hand, there are fellow villagers who come with sincere words and real money, and on the other hand, the king of Anqing who only tells them to cut people to work, pull horses and sign donkeys. Everyone is not stupid, even if the kidnapper Zhang How come the tongue is bright and flowers are born, and those flowers are not as beautiful as silver coins.
So when Meng Zhongyong brought people to lay an ambush, many Anqing soldiers who were soft on their hands resolutely joined the Ming Lord. The prince himself asked Meng Zhongyong to slash his back with a knife, and fell off his horse. Had a reunion dinner with the ancestors of the Cui family.
On the second day, Lu Yunzhou "arrived" with his people, and was "shocked" and "angry" to find that on the way King Anqing came to "inspect" Guji, he encountered a group of "thugs". Going to "hunt down the bandits", but the other party was too cunning to return without success, so he had to "grieve" and bring back the prince's old department and try to "place him" as much as possible.
Afterwards, how Gu Huaiyang went to the table, and how everyone divided up the spoils and embezzled Cui Hu's power, let's not mention it for now, but Shi Wuduan brought back the body of the woman who died unexpectedly in Ruanrou Township, and wrote a letter overnight and tied it to Cuipingniao's leg Go up, squatting in the courtyard and whispering: "You know where to send it."
Cuipingniao lifted its leg tied with a letter for no apparent reason, Shi Wuduan flicked it lightly on the head, and cursed in a low voice: "What are you looking at, go quickly, if you don't find anything for you, you'll die!" I'm almost fat like an old hen, and I can't fly even if I want to."
The Cuiping bird flapped its wings and flew up like an old hen, pecked hard on his head, and then circled up.
The rabbit also came over and rubbed his trousers obsequiously, Shi Wuduan hugged it, stood up, and saw Bai Li quietly standing behind him at some point.
Shi Wuduan didn't stand firmly at first, he was caught off guard as if he was taken aback, his knees almost bent back again, he took a step back before he stood up, then he raised his head to look at the sky inexplicably, and asked: "How did you start today?" Come out of the house, are you hungry?"
"What are you doing?" Bai Li asked softly.
Since he was very young, he didn't like to speak loudly, as if he didn't want others to hear clearly, Shi Wuduan said happily: "Isn't there a dead person over there? It’s weird, I don’t know how long it’s been there, it’s not rotten or rotten, and the eyelids are all black holes inside, even if it’s a rotten eye white. I’m not good at learning, so I can’t control this matter. Come help—go, I'll take you to tea."
After he finished speaking, he pulled Bai Li up without any hesitation, and dragged him out: "That shop is so small, I didn't notice it at first, but the snacks are delicious... Well, at this time of day, I invited Mr. Come and read."
Bai Li didn't resist, and silently let him drag him out.
But the rabbit poked its head out from Shi Wuduan's arms, opened a pair of round eyes, and looked at Bai Li without blinking. The rabbit's eyes are broad bean-shaped, erect and black, accompanying a somewhat flat face, which makes it look very "surprised" at any time.
It just looked at Bai Li in such "surprise" and quietly, as if they knew each other.
Bai Li looked at it indifferently for a while, then looked away with a sneer - this stupid thing, he thought with disdain in his heart.
The moment Shi Wudu stood up and found Bai Li, he actually saw his shadow dragging on the ground. For some reason, Bai Li's shadow writhed restlessly during the day. I wonder if it was Shi Wudu's illusion , he always felt that there seemed to be some kind of cold and suppressed killing intent condensed in that weird shadow.
However, he just took Bai Li out with a ridiculous reason, pretending he didn't see anything.
Bai Li stared at Shi Wuduan's back, feeling pain in his heart. He seemed to see a long, unbent line, which seemed soft but was actually moving slowly along a fixed route.
Suddenly, Bai Li grabbed Shi Wuduan's wrist with his backhand, pulled him back, and said seriously, "Wuduan, I have a question for you."
Shi Wudu stopped and looked at him slightly surprised.
Bai Li asked, "Are you planning to rebel with that group of people?"
Even if he asked "Is General Gu planning to live in Pingyang City in the future" or "General Gu is quite ambitious", in this bustling street, it seems that he knows a little bit about "tactful", but he just left this person in vain. As if he didn't know what euphemism was from birth, he straightened his eyebrows and asked in front of Shi Wuduan.
He only choked on Shi Wuyuan's question.
Bai Li said again: "Tell me the truth."
Shi Wuduan's eyes flickered, and his palm gently stroked the rabbit's back. The rabbit seemed to feel something, and its body trembled slightly. What happened in the human world? Little Ion, if a person in the demon way is involved in the human world, he must follow the laws of the human world, otherwise he will cause some karma, don't you think it's troublesome?"
Bai Li raised the corners of his mouth, as if smiling—but only the lower half of his face was moving, and he said, "Can't you see? I'm not a demon. It's just."
After saying that, before Shi Wudu frowned, he continued, "So it seems that you are really doing this?"
Are you spying on me? Shi Wuduan was thinking in his heart, but the expression on his face was still out of sync with his heart. He showed a confused look as if he hadn't realized it, and asked, "Aren't you a fox clan? What is it if you are not a demon?"
Bai Li tightly clasped Shi Wuduan's wrist, as if he wanted to unscrew his wrist, and said through gritted teeth, "Don't pretend to be confused, you know what I'm asking..."
At this moment, a group of begging children ran over, and one of them "accidentally" ran into Shi Wuduan. Shi Wudu made a neat backhand hook, picked up the child, and slowly took his Carrying back the purse, seeing the child staring at him, he also stared and said: "What are you looking at, you come out to shame people if you don't have time to go home, pulling a purse almost tore off my belt, I see you even dead things They can't be stolen."
Before he finished speaking, his belt really loosened a little as if in response to this sentence. Shi Wuyuan cursed in a low voice, let go of the little beggar, and grabbed his belt. up.
Another colorful thing was exposed under his plain belt, which looked... unexpectedly familiar.
Seeing that Shi Wuyuan was waving his hand to cover it, Bai Li couldn't help reaching out and grabbing the strap—it was a narrow strap made of gold thread, which looked very old, and the original braided strap was very old. The bird's feathers have lost their old colors, and are obediently blocked by a wide belt... It is the cardamom wrap that Shi Wudu gave him back then.
Shi Wuduan seemed to be taken aback by his action, slapped his hand away, and said in a low voice, "Why are you pulling my belt in public?"
While Bai Li was in a daze, he quickly adjusted the belt that had been loosened by the little beggar, then hugged the rabbit, turned around and continued walking forward very heartlessly.
He still kept it... But Bai Li had mixed feelings in his heart, and his heart, which was heavy on his chest, suddenly became lighter, so that he forgot to entangle the problem just now, and the shadow behind him miraculously calmed down.
Shi Wuyuan walked in front without looking back, feeling that the strong sense of oppression from Bai Li was slowly dissipating, so he lowered his head and wiped the cold sweat from his palms on the rabbit.
