In fact, I have never been very good at naming, be it the author's name or the book's title, but I am personally quite satisfied with the name "Lan Ke Qi Yuan", and I think it fits the artistic conception of the fairy tale.
But later I was slapped in the face. Quite a number of book friends said that the title of the book was bad and they would never click it at first sight. Quite a number of book friends did not even know the meaning of "Lan Ke" and wondered what was wrong with the author. Why did he give the book a weird title that was not only unpleasant to the ear but also difficult to read.
Well, but this also makes me feel that the title of this book still has some meaning, at least it prevents some book lovers from forgetting the meaning of "Lan Ke".
In fact, a long time ago, I had a lot of things I wanted to say when the book was finished, but when it really came to this moment, I was a little at a loss for words. I can only say that there were joys and disappointments, pride and frustration, just like experiencing a life, with all the ups and downs, and I have a lot of emotions!
In any case, the achievements of this book are beyond my expectation before I started writing it.
However, in the process of writing the book, as an author I also exposed some considerable problems. In addition to laziness and procrastination, the biggest problem is the fluctuations in control caused by the ups and downs of my state. The root cause is laziness and insufficient preparation, incomplete thinking, or too comprehensive thinking. Many times I write based on my feelings, which greatly increases the factors affecting my mood swings.
In my personal opinion, to write a story, or a plot, the conditions required may not be many, but to write it well, the conditions required may not increase in number, but they will be much richer.
From an environmental perspective, the weather, terrain, wind direction, rain intensity, temperature, thunder, light and so on must all be taken into consideration. Don't think I'm exaggerating, in fact, it's even more exaggerated. For example, these aspects cannot exist in isolation and must be integrated into the background.
Simply writing all this out directly would be a bit empty. So what do I usually like to do? I express it from another important factor, that is, the characters, their states, their reactions, their emotions. They will shiver when feeling the wind, rain and low temperature, they will be frightened when they hear thunder suddenly, they will squint when it is glaring, and when it rains heavily, they will point the umbrella towards the source of the wind and rain, and they will pinch their palms and arms until veins bulge to show strong winds and heavy rain, etc.
Then, after we have the environment and characters, what we need is the background story, which is what you want to express. The previous one is important embellishment, and this one is the core. The two complement each other and are indispensable.
The content of this story can be thrilling, heartwarming, or full of surprises. The process can create a mood, reflect some humor, or focus on a strong sense of immersion and reality, such as the fight between the golden armor and the corpse demon.
All of this is done to present a "painting".
A story "painted" by the superposition of many details and combined with a good content, is a story scene that is part of the overall story context.
So is there any problem with doing this
Yes! A common problem and a big problem!
The common problem is that as the overall level increases, it is difficult to refine it, and that delicate feeling is difficult to match with the power system in the later stage. It is no longer as easy as before to present the picture, and it is easy to lose interest.
The bigger problem lies with the author himself. To maintain the coherence of this text, sufficient sleep and good condition are basic conditions.
Secondly, you cannot interrupt your train of thought. In my own imagination, the paint is flowing, flowing along the long white paper into the distance, and the details in it slowly grow out. But if the paper is cut off here, it will cause a series of problems.
Then, some trivial things in reality, such as depression caused by being criticized and scolded, and temporary concerns caused by insufficient preparation, are all influencing factors.
There is also the problem of fatigue after writing for a long time. This kind of fatigue is very scary. It will make people lose their desire, unable to muster the energy to think about the subsequent plot, and lack the motivation to improve the content. They will relax their requirements on themselves and on words, resulting in dragging of the plot, decreased control over the plot, stereotyping of events and characters, etc.
After all, books are for people to read, and the author's condition can be seen at a glance from the text. If the painting is "ugly", then book lovers will vent their dissatisfaction, which will lead to some chain reactions.
In the final analysis, there are some problems with the author, and in order to avoid them, in addition to self-change, the most important thing is preparation, both prior preparation and continuous preparation and improvement during the process. A lot of the time when I write, I tend to write in a stream of consciousness style. To put it nicely, I am not limited by a framework. To put it bluntly, sometimes I just write whatever comes to my mind. If I encounter some fluctuating factors, it is easy to deviate, or cause me to linger in a certain area. The direct result is that I don't extend forward but instead over-spread to both sides.
This situation will also lead to increased repetitiveness of the plot, repetitive thinking, decreased anxiety and insomnia, memory loss, and writing fatigue.

One is you who are experiencing this thing, and the other is you who are standing at a higher place, like a bystander, understanding yourself, watching yourself, recording your laziness, procrastination and ridiculousness, and even watching yourself with sarcasm when doing self-deceiving things.

But I still underestimated this bolt of thunder. The content that I spent so much effort to portray was actually difficult to pass the review. It was not that it failed to pass the review after the contract was signed, but that it failed to pass the review after the book was published. I was even more upset.
A lot of preparations could not be used, some of which were a pity. At this time, I also set my sights on the fairy tales that were regarded as unpopular by everyone at that time, and the unpopular among the unpopular ones, such as the classical fairy tales.
